I went out on the lawn today, took my soccer ball. I practised some tricks, its so good to be out in fresh air, better than being inside thats for sure! Came back to the common room and just hung round with mates. Its so good being away from Mum, Dad and Hilary, Hogwarts is my true home.

1. How did your family feel about you being magical?

1. How did your family feel about you being magical?
Jaz's family always thought that she was strange. She was so different to their first child, Hilary, and they didn't like it that much. They never really got along with Jaz, and when finding out that she was a Witch, they found it hard to believe, and they didn't like the idea of magic. But they agreed to sending her away, as it would be easier for them.
2. What was your reaction when you got your Hogwarts letter?
For Jaz, it was a relief. She always knew she was different, and most muggles treated her badly. This was like an invitation to meet people who would accept her.
3. You say Jaz is brave - can you give an example of this?
Jaz was bullied by muggles, she lost confidence. But when she came to Hogwarts, she forced herself to rebuild her confidence. This was a brave thing to do. She will also stick up for friends, when they need it, no matter how much trouble she will get in.
4. You also say that Jaz is a natural at flying, is she going to try out for the quidditch team?
She was... But she decided to try-out in her second year. She is going to spend her first year training, hopefully with friends and more experienced people.
5. Why would your patronus and animagus form be the same do you think?
Dog's are quite playful, and friendly, they can also be very brave and stick up for those who they love. Her patronus would be a dog for all these reasons. JIf Jaz had an animagus she would be a dog because she would still be able to play with a soccerball and be able to go places without being noticed.
6. In your journal entry you don't sound too happy about your home life - why is that?
Because Jaz would rather be away from her family. Her family is almost like a family of three, with there perfect daughter, Hilary. Jaz is an extra, who is different to all of them.
7. Why don't you and Hilary get along?
Because Hilary is the total opposite of Jaz. She hates sport, and is very girly. Jaz and her have never been able to relate to each other. She also always thought that Jaz was stupid. Jaz's Mum and Dad also love Hilary because she always achieves the highest mark in all her subjects, Jaz hates this.
8. What do you hope to achieve in your years at Hogwarts?
To be able to figure out who she really is. Hopefully a Quidditch Captain, and improve in Quidditch. Meet lots of new people, and have lots of good friends.
9. What would you like to do when you leave school?
Jaz is thinking about being in a Quidditch team. She also is considering being a Flying Lesson's teacher. Something to do with sport.
