Janey looks for the good things in life, and tries to make the best of them. She won't be scared to meet new people, and she takes enjoyment from spending time with other people as well as on her own. She's looking forward to starting at Hogwarts, and hopes to do well in her lessons.

Janey already has a job offer, and she isn't going to let oppotunities slip away. When she joins Hogwarts she wants to get involved in as many things as she can, and hopfully drag her friends along with her. She doesn't know what she wants to be yet, however she dreams of living in a big house in America, with that "Special swing beside the pool".

This young girl is not a mean one, however should anyone try to hurt her friends, ether vocally or physically, she won't be afraid to give them a little slap. She isn't one for "dobbing" people into trouble, but prefers to handle it herself, which often leads her to become in more trouble than she started in. Although she's not vey good, Janey enjoys to draw. When she goes to school, she will try with Quidditch, and possibly attempt to join the team in her third year. Quidditch however won't be too high on her list. She also likes reading and learning, as well as going out shopping with her friends. Janey also takes great delight in being outdoors and by water, especially in the summers.
Additional Skills
Because she wants to do well in her lessons, she's an exceptional pupil, especially in Charms and Potions.
Strengths
She can stand up for herself, and is not afraid to tell people what she really thinks. She's got a strong and courage heart, and wants to help people, just like those who've helped her. She's quite clever acedemically, and she easily makes friends.

Josefiina and Janey met in the Park near Janey's house in New Zealand, and has begun to help her with learning English. The Finnish girl seems to have a few things in common with Janey, and she hopes they can be closer friends. Thses two met while Jasmine was watching Janey drawing in a park near Janey's home. She thinks that Jasmine, although can come across as shy and quite at first, will be a good friend to her. Ember and Janey met in the Gryffindor common room, and they also share a dormatory with Poppy and two other girls. From the moment they met they seemed to be able to get on quite well, and have quite similar interests.

Janey met Lynette in Madam Malkins as she worked there, however the girls didn't manage to talk until they were at school, where they got chatting about their thoughts on being sorted. Even though they're in different houses, both girls seem to be able to get on well with each other.

Again, although they are different houses, Janey and Amaris seem to be able to get on well. They met in the bathroom after Amaris decided to throw stinkboms into the corridor, and had, much to Janeys suprize, darted into the bathroom with her. Janey met Minoas the same time she met Ember, and was inpired by his couragous and adventurous personality. She hopes that some time in the future she will be able to, with a few others from their house, go exploring in the forbidden forest.

Janey hopes she will get into Gryffindor, because she feels the people in that house will be most like her. Although she can be quite clever, she doesn't feel she has a natural studious personality, and despite being helpful, Janey feels like the couragous side of her personality takes over more. She believes that she would not suit Slytherin at all.

Janey's favourite lesson will probably be Charms. She's good at memorising spells, and has fun practising them out on various things. After seeing her brothers performing charms and spells, she can't wait to try it for herself.

When she was really little, she used to make "concoctions" in the bath tub, with various shampoos and bubbles, and making up her own scents. When she gets to school she will be interested in making the new mixtures, and as she enjoys it, feels she will want to study it, therefore being good at it.

When Janey is in her third year she will probably take COMC, because as a child she was never aloud any pets, and this is the perfect chance to start learning about them. She dreams that maybe she could also have a magical beast in her back yard when she's older.
Defence Against the Dark Arts
Janey feels its her duty to look after her friends and family, and so taking this subject would be the best way to help and look after them. She also thinks it will be fun to make people fly across the room..

She will not take this lesson until her fourth year or so, when she decides on what career to take (Healer.) She will take this because she feels it's vital to her future job.

Muggle Studies
She won't take muggle studies because after growing up with a 100& magical family, she doesn't completly understand how things work. Things like electricity scare her, and she'd much rather have something like candles than a torch.
Arithmancy
She may be clever, but she's never been good at maths. Even at her primary school, she's never been able to get her head around all the numbers and letters.
Sorting:
Janey smiled as she made her way into the great hall, along with her fellow unsorted students, and took a seat on a large table to wait. She knew her name would take a while to be called out, but she had more enjoyment from watching other people's reactions to their own houses anyway, and was content to wait. Her Mother had taught her that patience was a valuable lesson. One by one, students were called to the front of the hall, some were nervous, some cocky, and they were placed in their houses. People cheered, people boo'd, people clapped. Janey was deep in thought of how they would react to her placing when she heard Poppy's name. Was there another Poppy Bloxan? Janey wondered, trying to peer over the eager heads of other students to take a look. It was Poppy! Janey resisted calling out her name or waving, and decided to keep it a surprise. When Poppy was put into Gryffindor, Janey's heart skipped a beat. That was where she wanted to be, too, and the time trudged by even slower waiting for her own name. She hadn't even suspected anything of Poppy, though now she though about it more it made sense.. all the strange things that seemed to happen to the two of them when they were together. Had Poppy suspected anything of Janey? Had she even known she was magical until she got her letter? Janey's mind raced as more and more people were called up, until finally;
'Pascot, Janey'.
Janey jumped, and then slowly stood up, aware that all eyes were on her. She glanced at Poppy and grinned, before making her way slowly to the front. Her stomach was filled with butterflies, which was strange for her, but she was worried about being put in a different house to Poppy. First, she had found out her best friend was going to Hogwarts too, and now she had found out the house she had been put in was the same one she wanted to be in. Surely two miracles at once was too much to ask for?
Janey turned to face the sea of faces and perched on the edge of the sorting chair, waiting for the warmth of the sorting hat to be placed on her head. She tucked her hair behind her ear and closed her eyes as he was lowered on. This was it. She was about to find out if all of her dreams were going to come true, and she'd never felt more excited and nervous in her whole life. As the sorting hat began to speak, Janey found herself begging inwardly for Gryffindor. Please, she thought deeply, Gryffindor..? She felt like bursting into tears at that moment, but held herself together. She never cried, even at tough moments in life. She always held her tears back and pretended that everything was ok. And this was just the same.
Sorting Hat's Reply:
"Not very bright, I fear. I'd hardly find you scheming and selfish, and you don't strike me as hardworking either. I suppose your blind courage and perhaps foolish desire for adventure leaves but one true house for you. GRYFFINDOR!"
