When Ivaylo Zhefarovich I was painted onto a picture, he appeared to be only thirty years of age. His hair was colored via potion to keep the contrasting appearance. He appears to be taller than many men, and in the portrait, he is sitting down in a throne-like chair. He wears black robes of high class and he never has a smile upon his face. The room is dark, almost dungeon-like. The Zhefarovich Crest hangs behind the chair, as well as a large black snake with beady red eyes at his feet. Candles the color of coal are attached to the dungeon and are the only sense of light in the room.
Portrait Subject's Personality:
Ivaylo's personality in the portrait is nothing short of prejudice and proud. He is utterly cold and cruel but does not lack intelligence. He lacks remorse and sympathy and seems to want to rid the world of anything but Pure-bloods. However, back in his time, the Pure-blood number was much greater than it is to this date which angers him even more.
Portrait Subject's History:
Ventsislav Spas Zhefarovich and Antonia Ivana Crainic-Zhefarovich parented three children. Ivaylo Shanaos Zhefarovich I was the oldest, born on October 31[sup]st[/sup], 1770. Ivaylo also had a twin named Ilian Rodika Zhefarovich. Both were albino with bright red eyes. The next and final child was Prokorov Kiril Zhefarovich who was born on August 17[sup]th[/sup], 1780. Ivaylo and Ilian attended Durmstrang Institute and excelled in Dark Arts. Ivaylo was awarded Prefect as well as Ilian, and then both were awarded the Head Boy and Head Girl status. After graduation, Ivaylo searched out a Manor. The Zhefarovich Manor was currently in Romania, and Ivaylo wished not to reveal that he was truly not Bulgarian at all. Ivaylo and his family were Romanian. He came across a Manor, and it was truly beautiful. With that, Ivaylo went in and killed the owers, made the Manor unplottable. Ilian and Prokorov burned down the old manor. The Zhefarovich's transferred over to Bulgaria into the new Manor.
Ivaylo met his future wife named Snezhana Isadora Maroch, who changed her name to Snezhana Isadora Maroch-Zhefarovich once she was married to Ivaylo. Ivaylo was twenty-two when he married. Ivaylo grew angry with his twin sister when she changed her name to Ilian Rodika Zhefarovich-Krastevich, however with her help, he assembled a government in the family. Prokorov married Bisera Lüceanu, and brought her into the home. All three had managed to find pure-blood spouses. The first grandchild of Ventsislav and Antonia was Shanaos Kiril Zhefarovich, born in 1800. Ivaylo waited until he had another son, Thanterus Lyudmil Zhefarovich, and even a grandchild named Asparuh Zhefarovich I before truly assembling the government, and becoming the Patriarch. Ilian was made Guardian, Shanaos the Head, Prokorov the Clandestian, Thanterus the Margrave and finally the Viscount was Asparuh.
Thus, the first ruling of the official Monarchy started in 1830. There was some order before, but never that strict. Ivaylo first used his creative genius mind to create the official Zhefarovich Crest and hung it in the Zhefarovich Manor. It did not stop there. He and Shanaos came together and created the Laws, and engraved them into a stone wall and made parchment copies. The room were the original rules is now locked up and known as a sacred room. Ivaylo also created the magical Family Tree, and made Ilian's family one and also Prokorov's branch of the family. Ivaylo became rather hostile and he started wiping out families. He became a famous Dark Wizard, and Snezhana did not approve but she never let him know this either. Slowly, he started to get sick, and out of fear of death, he gave the Patriarch title to Asparuh Zhefarovich I in 1891.
