Calum's big duel was earlier that day, and Pia wanted nothing more than to surprise him with hot chocolates to celebrate his success. He had fought so hard to make it to the final round, and though winning was never certain, and there was always a possibility he would lose his final duel, Pia was proud of him for making it so far. She was also almost as confident in Calum as he was confident in himself and therefore had the highest hope he would arrive to the student lounge that evening with a victory. No matter which way it went, she was willing to celebrate how well he had done in the tournament and wanted show him that he would always be a winner to her.

Pia had sent Calum a note that morning, telling him to meet her in the student lounge during dinner so the space would be empty. She then chose to arrive early and set up everything she had managed to gather from the kitchens. There were two large mugs, a jug filled with steaming hot chocolate as well as strawberries, marshmallows, and whipped cream available so Calum could choose whatever he wanted to make his drink more delicious. Pia thought it would be the perfect way for Calum to wind down after his big duel and to celebrate his hard work. She practically jumped on the spot while waiting for him to arrive, and couldn't wipe the smile from her face. She hoped his smile would be just as wide and happy when he noticed the surprise she'd set up for him.

The Hogwarts Dueling Tournament had to be the stupidest Dueling Tournaments Calum had ever been in. The girl Calum was put up against did have some talent, but Calum knew he was better than that and he was eager for a rematch some time if she wasn't too scared for one, even if he didn't really want to see her face ever again. He just wanted to prove that he wasn't so weak and that he was in fact the best duelist in the school. The whole thing had put him in a bad mood, and it wasn't until he found a note from his girlfriend that he actually could feel his heart warm. She wanted to meet her in the student lounge for dinner and so Calum went the rest of the day extremely excited, completely forgetting about his petty loss in the tournament.

Calum spent fifteen minutes before dinner making sure his hair was staying in place in his dormitory before making his way out and up to the fourth floor. Everyone else was heading for the Great Hall and he smirked, wondering why Pia had wanted them to be alone at such a time. As the teenager opened the door to the student lounge, he was surprised to see the place all set up with everything you needed to make a hot chocolate. Pia stood next to it with a large smile on her face and Calum couldn't help but smile too. He walked straight over to her and gave her a warm embrace before letting go and kissing her gently on the forehead. "What's all this for?" he asked, still smiling as he looked around at all the marshmallows, strawberries and whipped cream. She had obviously put a lot of effort into it and Calum couldn't have appreciated it more. It was exactly what he needed after such a big day and he had no idea how Pia knew that.

Pia's face lit up as Calum walked in the room. He looked around, noticing everything she had set up and Pia felt her stomach flip at his reaction when he pulled her into a hug that she happily returned. All she wanted was to show Calum the appreciation she had for him, as well as her pride in his achievements. As they pulled away and Calum placed a kiss on her forehead, Pia smiled wider. "This is a celebration for you, of course!" She explained, kissing Calum quickly on the lips and stepping away, though being sure to intertwine her hand with his. She lead him closer to the coffee table, waving her free hand to everything that was set up. "It's been a big day for you, so I thought we could relax together, make hot chocolates, and celebrate how well you've done in the dueling tournament." She kept her hand in Calum's as she sat down on the sofa.

There was so much more that Pia wanted to say about how much she admired and cared for her boyfriend, but she chose to hold her tongue for the moment, thinking her words would be better said later, after they were settled and Calum was properly comfortable. "Now. How do you like your hot chocolates?" Pia asked, turning to the coffee table and pouring some hot chocolate into one of the mugs. She then waited for Calum's response, happy to make his own hot chocolate for him, or allow him to make the hot chocolate himself if that was what he wanted.
