The skies grew dark one random afternoon. Not a ray of sunlight was left as the clouds accumulate overhead. It shouldn't had come as a surprise. That morning on the radio they predicted rain. They went onto say a storm was approaching. Rowan wished it did not. Like the radio host had warn, rain started pouring over Brightstone Village where she lived. "Well, Sunny." Rowan addressed the little parakeet resting on her shoulder. Sunny had been keeping her company until she noticed he had fallen asleep. "Back in your cage you go. No mailman for you today." Rowan went over to place him on the stick where he slept perched. "You can't go out with mommy today or you'll get wet." Rowan petted him. She left him alone to go back on the windowsill.
No matter if it rain, Rowan sat there looking out her window for a reason. The small witch was on the lookout for a parcel. It was from her mom. Rowan wonder what could that woman be possibly sending her?! Having lived with the witch all her life, Rowan wasn't expecting anything rich. She guessed some of her old stuff she left back in Canada. Whatever it was, Rowan waited for the mailman. And she thought she saw him, or someone approaching her flat. Rowan jumped up from the windowsill and hurry to answer the door. It was a man, she was sure of it. But was it the postal service?! The small witch walked out into the pouring rain to find out. "Hello there! Got my parcel?"
