A clear mind, a clear thought. Rather have both than none, one can use each other. It sounded so easy to believe that saying was true, but Esme knew believing meant to stride for effort. Without effort there's no point trying. She tried, she tried a million times to get Helena attention, but the more she tried the more it made no sense anymore. After traveling so far just to be here Barcelona, Spain. Esme got flat out rejected to see her mom. One minute was all she was pushing for, but the more she asked, the more they threaten to toss her out into streets. One more word, she turn before she protested again. Taking her leave she felt defeated, all she wanted was to see Helena today. But it seems Helena job will always be important to her, more than her own daughter. Esme look down rejected, she felt her shoulders slump, and her eyes shut for the moment. For a long period of time she stood there all alone, while many passed her, she forgot in just that second that she was at Barcelona, Spain.

Demyx walked down the streets of Barcelona, taking in the sights and smells of Spain. It had been a while since he had last taken some time to himself, and gone on break, but he was glad that he had. Guarding was a job that took the life out of you, having to be on edge and ready at any given moment, and Demyx was already getting worn down. But he still kept at it. He had seen Dante once since his return, and had even shed tears at watching his son play the guitar. Demyx had missed so much of Dante's childhood.... He shook his head clear of sad thoughts, remembering he was supposed to be enjoying himself.

As he turned down another street, he noticed a teenage girl standing in the middle of the path. She looked upset. Demyx frowned and approached her. "Are you okay, miss?" he asked politely. "Im an Auror, are you in need of assistance?" he asked. He wasnt sure what was wrong, but she looked upset.

Are you okay?, were the exact words she wanted so badly to hear from her mother instead of come guy claiming to be an auruor. They sounded a lot better from Helena than a stranger, maybe one day Helena will ask her just that and not reject Esme like she had done today. "I'm fine...I'm waiting for my mother" she spewed something perfectly so she wouldn't be question anymore. "She told me to go home, but I can't right now. I have to go somewhere, excuse me" Esme converted her gaze somewhere else so she could hide her made up stories. Some parts of it was true, some parts she didn't make up. But the fact she was still in probation back in New Zealand and had transfer to Salem, what was she suppose to tell him the truth?

It was Demyx's job to know how to tell when someone was lying, and he could tell this girl was not being honest to him. "Look, at the moment, im on holidays, Im off-duty. But when i see a girl standing in the street, looking upset, i tend to worry a bit and try to help..." he said in a reassuring voice. "You dont have to tell me the truth, and you dont have to tell me who you are, but until your calm and not upset, would you like to come and have a cup of coffee or tea with me? My treate?" he asked, putting a charming smile on his face. He didnt know why he cared so much for the girl... Maybe it was his fatherly instincts kicking in...

At first she wanted to reject the offer. Sometimes its hard for Esme to trust anyone, no matter if he said he was an auruor. But than she decided no harm in having a drink with someone you might not see again. She shoved both hands in her denim jeans pocket and simply shrugged looking down. "I don't drink any of them, how bout a pop? I rather drink soda any day than coffee" she somewhat displayed a smile of approval. Gazing over at him now, she could tell he was a younger auruor, way older than her cousin Maddiie but still a lot younger than most auruors in that kinda professional fields. "Mind telling me your name first? Least I know who I'm gonna have a drink with?" she asked bluntly. Least she won't be alone today, maybe later she can try Helena again. If not, Esme would have to return to Boston rather annoyed at her mother's neglect.

Demyx chuckled softly and nodded. "A soda it is then." he said and shook his head softly in amusment. He had forgotten just how much he had changed. He was only twenty-three, but had already discarded all of his teenage traits. Now that he looked at it, it seemed foolish to ask a teenager to go for a coffee. "Im Demyx, but my friends call me Dem." he said, holding out his hand, "And you are?" he asked, smiling again.

"You can call me Meme for now" Esme shook his hand briefly than let go between his gentle grasp. "Where should we get out drinks? Honestly there's not much around here except that shop over there" she pointed to sort of a small mall, where many shops align right next to each other side by side. But out of all of them, one stood up more to be an eatry than a normal clothing shop, their specialties selling rice, beans, and meat cut from the finest animal in Spain. Literally not bad once you get passed I'm not a vegetarian type, like Ross's wife and daughter where. "Do you want to go there? If not guess we can look some place else?" she stood unsure of herself.
