Christmas was right around the corner which meant very soon Diane would be coming home for the holidays. Adam was looking forward to having his daughter back for a few weeks, no doubt she had stories to tell as she always did, it was just a matter of if she felt like recounting them to her father. With only a few more days of freedom before his home was possessed by the spirit of an angry and moody teenager Adam decided to head over to Obsidian harbour. With his work keeping him as busy as it did he wasn't able to visit the place as much as he would like but his weekends seemed to have cleared up as he approached the holidays. It was a perfect opportunity to do a little last minute shopping.
One of the things he knew about his daughter, probably the only thing she would claim, was that she loved Quidditch. Adam had been very proud of her when he found out she made the Quidditch team in her first year and although she decided not to return to the team in her second year it was a fairly safe bet to look for something in the Quidditch store for her Christmas present. When Adam came out of what was the final shop he would be visiting, he looked around the street, his shopping bags rattling in the gentle breeze. Maybe he would pop by the leaky cauldron for a drink, maybe even sign up for speed dating again. He could still remember the rather interesting woman he met that night, she was hard to forget after all.
