Shaylah walked down the lawn to the lake and sat in her usual place. She always sat here when she was by the lake. When she was here, it usually meant she didn't want company and anyone who tried to talk to her would quickly find out so everyone just steered clear of this area now. That was the sort of reputation she'd been upholding in the last few months. Before that, she'd only really hurt anyone if they annoyed her, got her in a bad mood or had done something to her in the past. Back then she'd had Sydney or Teddy or any of her friends to hold her back when she was doing things that went to far. Now she was a lone wolf. She had no friends and her only family was in azkaban until 2043.

Shay sighed and leant back on her hands as she crossed her legs and looked across the water. She kind of wanted to go out and do something unthinkable so she could join him in azkaban. It had be over three years since she'd last seen him and that was the reason she was how she was. In Shay's first year at Hogwarts, the only people she didn't talk to were mudbloods. Now she spoke to no one. It was he way she liked it. No one deserved to have her to talk to. Why should they??

Sorry. Have no inspiration at the moment.

xNo worries. Sorry it's been so long for me to reply... Trying to get some muse. I still don't have any so sorry it's lame.x

Jessica decided to wear something simple today for her walk to the lake where she could sit there quietly and think. Lately with her nearly at the end of her sixth year and nearly at the beginning of her seventh year, she hadn't any time to herself and she wanted some now. When she did, people usually knew to stay out of her way, unless they wanted to seriously be injured. As she arrived at the lake, her keen eyes caught sight of someone that she hadn't seen for a long time, and she wasn't sure how she felt about seeing Shaylah again. So she walked down, closer to the girl, and spoke up 'Shaylah.' She said simply, acknowledging the younger girl.

She waited patiently, until she was either invited to sit next to the girl, or told to get lost, and if she was told to get lost, she wouldn't have listened anyway. 'How've you been?' She inquired, her voice showing no emotion whatsoever. Jessica hadn't talked to anyone for a long time, and so no one spoke to her. She was the silent Slytherin, silent until someone provoked her in some way, then everyone backed away from her. She was used to using her fists to settle her fights, and also her magic. That was why she had no friends. Everyone feared her.

The reason Jessica had been so quiet was because she had recently passed her apparation test, and couldn't wait to visit her father to tell him about it. She had to wait until the year 2050 for him to get out, and since he was her only family, she had been living by herself. If he did live that long, than he would be allowed to come out and be on parole for goodness knows how long.

Shaylah was surprised when she heard her name. No one ever talked to her. If they did then they were either very brave or a complete idiot. Shay turned her head to see who it was that had said her name. She recognised the older girl. She hadn't seen Jessica for ages. She was surprised Jess even recognised her as she had changed loads since the last time they spoke. "Oh. Hi, Jess."

Shay didn't know what else to say. It had been ages since she'd had a decent conversation with anyone so she wasn't used to it but she'd been a good friend with Jess a few years back and she hoped they could carry on the way they had before. There weren't many people that Shay could easily be friends and get along with but she found she had a lot in common with Jess so it made things easier. They were both trying to get through each day of school with no friends and their fathers in prison where they were going to stay for many years to come and they both used their fists and wands at the first sign of an idiot trying to talk to her.

Shay shrugged at her question. "I've been better. Life isn't exactly kind but I'm getting on with life." Shay had never loved anything about her life since her dad had been arrested but she had to pretend that she was okay or people would think she was weak and vulnerable. "How about yourself??" She smiled slightly at Jess which was weird because she never smiled at people.
