Its been a long day

[Mark Stone]

It had been a long warm day for Mark. After moving to France he always seemed to be busy, and working meant he was almost constantly tired. Although it was a big step for him, Mark wasn't regretting the move, he was getting too old to be living with Riley and Adele. Not to mention he had to look after Logan, it was the better thing to do, they both needed more space for themselves and although the new house was not exactly big it was good enough for the brothers. Mark had gotten himself a job in the French ministry, which had proved a little difficult at first when his French was only passive but he was learning quickly seeing as he was talking in the language almost all the time.

Today however he was not in work and he wanted to take this time to relax a bit more, get out and look about. Which he was doing until he went in to a cafe and got himself a cold drink to relax himself a bit. He didn't want to wander too far today and get lost. It wasn't really in to day list just yet. Right now he was happy with the window seat and his fizzy drink. He would explore a little later on, just not now.

 

[Eden Silverback]

Eden wanted so badly to enjoy her time away from Japan but that was not happening the way she had planned. She had spent most of her time attending to the family business. But today was all for Eden. She had ignored all the owl's that had come in for her. Even gone as far as slipping out the backdoor of the hotel she was staying at. After wondering around the city for a few hours and shopping Eden entered a small cafe that she had ate at many times.

Eden couldn't believe how crowded the place was. Seeing a open seat by the window. Eden tapped the person who was in the other seat. "Do you mind if I sit here? There's no other seats open." Eden said kindly to the handsome young man.

As Mark took a sip of his drink it refreshed him more than he had expected. He had not realised just how thirsty he had been from all that walking around. He took another large sip then placed the glass back down, just as he felt someone tap him. Looking around as the girl began to talk Mark nodded his head. "Yeah sure." He said with a smile. It had not been until then when he had noticed just how busy this place actually was today. He had obviously been lucky to get a seat at all, even if he was now sharing but that wasn't a problem for him.

"Are you not from here then?" He asked curiously noting the fact that she didn't talk to him in French. It was nice to talk his mother language again to someone else other than himelf and his brother. It really was a tiring business talking in a different language you had to think about all the time.

Eden let out a sigh of relief and took the seat. Stowing her shopping bags under her table. Taking the cup of tea the waiter brought to her Eden took it and smiled brightly. "Thank you so much. Normally this place is dead during the day." Eden said as she looked at all the people that where coming and going. It was quite interesting thou she had never seen this place so busy but than again she tended to stay away from cafes at night to many couples.

Eden shook her head at his question. "No I was raised in New Zealand. I just moved to Japan after I finished school. I'm here checking up on somethings for my father." Eden said as she took a long sip from her tea. It wasn't as good as what she had back home but it would work. "What about you? Do you live here or are you just visiting?" Eden inquired shyly.

Giving the girl a smile as she thanked him Mark wondered if she thought he would actually turn her away from just sitting down. It was not exactly a major thing which anyone would say no too but maybe that was just him thinking to nicely of everyone. "Dont worry about it." He said before looking around. "I wouldn't know how this place usually is, my first time here." He commented before turning his gaze back to his company. The girl seemed pretty, not exactly his type but h knew a pretty girl from a train wreck that was for sure. A few years ago he would have even tried his luck with her but how times had changed him, besides right now he had Amy and had other, more important things to deal with.

As she mentioned that she was raised in New Zealand Mark couldn't help but smile slightly, it was indeed a small world that he was talking to someone who was from somewhere he was from too. "Thats such a coincidence. I lived in New Zealand for a bit too. I wen school there so lived with my cousin." He said still with a smile placed on his perfectly shaped lips. Picking up the cold and wet glass Mark took a sip before placing it down again and continuing to talk. "Oh yeah i just moved here recently, im still getting to know the area." He said with a shrug. It made him a bit happier with the day now that he had found someone to talk to for a bit, even if she wasn't from around here it was still nice. "So how long are you planning on sticking around?" He asked curiously. He had never been to Japan but he wondered what it was like compared to here, totally different of course but if France was better in some aspects or not.

Eden liked the way he smiled. It wasn't forced or faked Eden liked that. Giving him one of her own. Eden took another sip of her tea. Trying and failing to hide the face she made when the bitterness of the tea made it's presence known. Putting the cup down Eden shook her head she was done with it. "Normally this place is empty. Maybe they have something special going on." Eden said as she did another scan of the shop. There where a lot of young women there today and a lot of them where looking over at her table. Looking back at her table mate Eden was glad she put her cup down. She would have dropped it otherwise. He was perfect down to his rosebud shaped lips.

Eden tried to clear her thoughts but there went that smile again. At the mention of going to school there Eden sat up a bit. "Did you attend Hogwarts? I don't remember seeing you there." Eden admitted a bit sheepishly. If he had attended the same school as her and she had missed seeing him than she really needed to get her eyes checked. Eden almost missed all of what he said next because she was to busy watching him drink. "I know the area very well I could show you around. You know take you to some clubs or maybe to a play or something." Eden offered trying to sound as if she could care less what his answer was going to be. She had to stop and think a bit about just how long she was really going to be staying there. "Well I am supposed to stay to the end of the week but I am having a hard time getting someone to agree to terms of the take over so he's refusing to sign the contract. I am thinking withdrawing the offer and starting over. Which means I could be her for a few more weeks." Eden said thoughtfully.

Mark was glad to hear that this place was never usually close to this busy. It did seem such a small sort of cafe for such attraction. He wondered what the occasion was to cause such numbers. Still if it was usually quiet then he would most likely come back again, he didn't much like crowds even if he was a sociable person there were limits to how many people he could comfortably be around. Luckily he had this girl to talk to which should distract him from everyone else, especially the people who were doing nothing to stare, weren't they ever told it was rude to stare. "Thats good then, maybe next time i come i would feel like a prized exhibit." He said rolling his eyes and running his hand through his hair.

As she mentioned Hogwarts he felt as little surprised. It was an even smaller world. What were the chances of running in to someone at random and finding out they were a wizard who lived int he same country as you and went to the same school. Freaky. "Yeah i did i was in Hufflepuff. But i was in Durmstrang first i transferred when i started my fifth year." He explained, not recognizing her from around school but he had never really taken too much noticed of anyone from school unless he was sat down talking to them. Mark smiled at the girl as she offered to show him around, it was certainly very nice of her to offer and it would help0 him out lot. "Thanks you have no idea how much that would help." He said as he thought for a second or two. "How about a play then something to eat afterwards, you can choose the place seeing as i don't know where is good to eat." He said jokingly with a small laugh. He stayed quiet as she explained what she was doing here, it sounded quite professional and business like. He didn't know much about getting people to sign contracts and what not but then again he didn't know too much about anything that wasn't needed for his job. "Sounds incredibly boring to me but thats just me." He grinned.

Eden really couldn't stand just how crazy crowded it was today. Could he be the reason that this place was crawling with people? Deciding that thinking about anymore wasn't worth it anymore. Eden let a thought cross her mind. "How about we start the tour now? We will got to a park near my hotel. Its empty due to the fact if your not a guest of the hotel or a guest of said guest you are removed straight away." Eden said getting to her feet and dropping money on the table. Waving her wand the bags vanished. Without waiting for his answers Eden held out her hand. "Come on I wont bite I promise." Eden said with a smile.

Realizing that she hadn't even answered his questions Eden laughed softly but stayed on her feet. She wanted to be out in the sunshine and feel the grass under her feet. "I was in Slytherin spent a lot of time in my common room studying in less there was a game going on than I was out cheerleading." Eden mentioned. Those had been good times but than again if she wasn't caught up in studying she was spending all her free time with whoever she was dating at the moment. Thinking about all the places she could take them Eden smiled so many choices but of course never enough time. "All depends on what you want to eat but I can assure you that wherever we go it was be amazing." Eden mentioned as she continued to stand. Deciding that it would be more fun to just drag him around Eden grabbed him by his hand and pulled him to his feet. "The names Eden Koshiba and your tour around the city starts now." Eden said with a giggle.

Mark smiled widely at her and looked down, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked back up her comment had amused him quite a bit. "I suppose thats a good idea, if we are quick enough maybe we can sneak out with out a band of stalkers following us. It sounds like a good hotel to go to in that case." he said as he stood up and took hold of her hand in his. He could have had a very nice come back to that but deciding he didn't want this girl to think that he had an ego bigger than his boots he kept it inside. "Im Mark Stone." He told her, it was probably a good time for introducing himself too seeing as he was going out with her one on one now. "Eden? That name does sounds a bit familiar now come to think about it." He said thinking that he had probably heard that name thrown about somewhere but never took much notice.

"Ah a Slytherin girl eh. Not the stereo type Slytherin are you." He joked lightly with her, he never did stereo type houses like that, he knew a Slytherin when he had been in school and she was pretty cool. "Oh so your that cheer leader that always caught my eye." He joked giving her a soft nudge on the side. He had never really watched much Quidditch, Logan played when he had been in Hogwarts but he had never been in to it. "Well im not a fussy eater, i eat anything so you can choose. Surprise me." He said giving her a wink, Not in a flirty way, well sort of but he meant nothing by it. It had been ages since he had flirted with a girl, he had not had the self confidence in a long time but seeing as his life was going pretty good for him now he had had quite a confidence boost in himself

Eden laughed at his comment about not being spotted as they left. "Oh don't worry about that Mark I have that under control." Eden said as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a packet of darkness powder. Throwing to the ground the whole cafe was covered in darkness. "Come on we got about a minute head start." Said as she kept a firm grip on Mark so that she would not lose him. It had beena while since she had done something as crazy as that. Normally Lilith or even Tohoru was the prankster in the family but Eden decided that since Tohoru had to worry about being a provider of his wife and child it was up to Eden to pick up some of the slack.

As they made there way down the street Eden had to hide the smile on her face. She wasn't the stereo type Slytherin but she had been sorted into that house for a reason. She was not a nice person if you got on her bad side or if you where a filthy muggle. Looking at Mark, Eden shook her head. "That couldn't have been me, my dear we had a part veela chick on the team I'm sure that is who you are remembering." Eden said in a teasing voice. Seeing her hotel up ahead she pulled him off to the side. Tapping the gate with her wand it vanished long enough to let them in. "Well what do you think?" Eden asked as she let go of Mark's hand.
