It's all rubbish anyway

Silus was taken aback as Lyra threw her arms around him in a hug. His first instinct was to jerk away. It wasn't like this was his first time being hugged, but it felt very personal, and it frightened him a bit. He restrained himself from doing so, and was glad he did, as the feeling began to grow on him, and Silus found he rather liked it. It somehow him feel warmer inside, and biting his lip, he leaned his head over her shoulder as she hugged him.

Silus knew what his friend said was true, but hearing it from someone else made it more believable, and he found he felt less guilt in loathing his mother. While the hug had certainly been nice, it was starting to get uncomfortable for him, and he felt like he could breath more easily as she pulled away.

He smiled at her, trying to show gratitude for the support she'd given him. Silus gave her question good thought before answering. "As far as I know. I've never seen her in a normal state, though I suppose her mind has faded over the years." He said calmly. He thought about what she'd said before the question, and continued to ponder on what all he had missed growing up, what he was missing now. He couldn't help but smile down at Lyra. If angles were real... He though musingly in his head.

She also asked if he had any other family. He'd been wondering about that ever since he was old enough to question things. He knew nothing of his father other than mumblings of his mother at night before he'd been kicked out to sleep outside. He had his suspicions on having aunts, but other than that, it was a strange mystery. "I really don't know. But enough about me." He said, wanting to move on. He almost couldn't believed what had just happened, and he unconsciously began twiddling with a loose thread on his pants pocket.

"For a student lounge, there really aren't many people in here." He said with a smirk. He couldn't really see anyone else around, but that also couldve been because he was distracted.
