Speed's nose wiggled slightly as he examined the flowers before him. He had no idea what Hezekiah liked, or whether he even liked flowers. Perhaps he was allergic - it was very common to be allergic to flowers. Perhaps chocolate was in order, but then again, people could be allergic to chocolate too. Wine had been an option, but what if Hezekiah didn't drink wine? It would be a waste. He chewed on his upper lip in thought as he stared, and found a small bundle of roses that were being held by a rabbit. He smiled, and brought them immediately. He knew for a fact that, even if everyone hated the nice pink roses, Rama, Hezekiah's daughter, would certainly love the fluffy bunny holding them. She still remembered how he was once a bunny himself, and on occasion tried to feed him carrots. he forgave the young girl for not realising that he was actually a hare, and a wizard first and foremost, as opposed to a rabbit that could turn into a humanoid.

Speed was naturally a romantic, but living with his staggeringly less romantic younger brother had certainly tamed his heart a little. Sladen had reminded him that Hezekiah was a shy man, and so going crazy on the romance would probably freak him out about as much as it had freaked Sladen. It was Sladen who convinced him to get just one bunch of flowers, and not make the entire date a surprise, but give Hezekiah time to actually prepare for it. It was slightly more boring than he had first imagined, but who said dates couldn't be anything but nice?

Hezekiah, to his knowledge, did not know what they were doing, or where they would be going, but Speed assured him that it was simply casual, and that Rama was also invited. Speed had planned going to the zoo, because he loved animals, and the local zoo allowed for petting and everything. It would entertain Rama, because she clearly loved animals nearly as much as Speed did, and it was a place they could have a good time and talk. Now that he was not tied to his commitments to the school, and was looking into getting a job that also worked alongside animals. He needed some time from the school in order to have a bit of a life outside of it. He could feel himself becoming part of the stones in the wall, and it was starting to freak him out. He walked quietly up to Hezekiah's door, and knocked on it..

Hezekiah Mowry was busy chasing Rama around the house. The child did not want to get dressed, and he was beginning to feel irritated. He did not like getting mad at his daughter. However, as her parent, he had to do what was best for her. She could not let her grow up to think she could do whatever she wanted to do. The man managed to grab his daughter and dress her in a nice floral dress. He himself was not ready yet. He had not even showered yet. Rama was the most important at the moment. He walked to the kitchen, allowing Rama to go back to running around, and prepared snacks for the day. His daughter had an appetite. He also did not know where Speed was taking them. He hoped it was not anything formal. Then, there was a knock at the door. Hezekiah went into a panic. He wasn't ready! How the hell was he supposed to face Speed when he wasn't ready? Nevertheless, Hezekiah went and slowly opened the door. He gave the man a small smile. Rama had run out the door and wrapped herself around the man's legs. "Tokki!" she spoke in Korean. Hez sighed and rolled his eyes. "How many times do we have to go over this, Rama?"

Speed smiled as the door was opened and Hezekiah gave him his own smile. He looked down, however, when he heard Rama called his pet name and latched onto his leg. He had yet to ask what 'tokki' actually meant, but he doubted it was anything particularly bad. He would hope that Hezekiah would stop her from calling him anything nasty. He knew he would do the same for Caedan and Ezra. He grinned at Rama, and petted her head, deciding that she would have to meet his boys one day. It was slightly more difficult, seeing as they were in England with their mother, and Speed was in New Zealand, but he frequently went to visit at least once a week, and often sent them gifts and letters. "Hello Rama," he greeted, before pulling out one of the flowers and presenting it to her. "For you." He then smiled back at Hezekiah, and tilted his head at the other man's body language. "Are you ready?" he asked, approaching the door before realising that Hezekiah's hair had not even been brushed. He did his best to contain his laughter, and rested his weight onto one foot. "You need some help? We've got plenty of time, don't worry."
