The golden tresses of a petite girl waver as the wind soothingly blows it into a simple breeze. A frown was placed upon her face as she laid back against the hollow tree looking out to the horizon. Her eyes watched as the sky began to fill with different hues of orange and even a tint of pink. She had just finished her classic novel that everyone seems to love and know about.

Romeo and Juliet.

The novel that Shakespeare brought to life and won millions of hearts with its romance and heartbreak except for one. Indeed it was Maria Leingod.

She never really thought of having a romance nowadays, for it was too cliche or it was too heartwarming. The thoughts that consume her mind are only filled with angst and heartbreak. "Exactly why do we love?" or "In the end, the pain suppresses me and leaves me to die." are many of the numerous reasons.

So why did she think this way? Despite not having any experience, she could tell that romance is a difficult path to walk down. Of course, she chose not to walk down it for who knows what may happen. She just doesn't want to suffer and be like all the other girls with a broken heart.

Maria rose to her feet as her white sundress swayed from the sudden breeze. She grasped the book from the grass and looked around towards her surroundings. Many students, who were the same age as her, were mingling around with heavy textbooks or speaking with their fellow peers as they walked around the lake. Since it was getting dark, she presumed that it would be a good idea to leave as well. She have no idea why she had even decided to read that book. All she could remember was that it was handed to her by her sister the last time that they have seen each other. The writing style of the author was fairly interesting, but the tragedy that had happened between the main characters was something that Maria doesn't really appreciate. "What's so good with being in love?" She muttered under her breath. With a face like hers, it would not be difficult to charm anyone, but Maria doesn't really understand the concept of having one's heartbeat race with just a mere smile or glance from someone. When she had asked her twin about it, her sister had merely giggled and told her that she should figure it out on her own. A suggestion that Maria pushed at the back of her mind. Consumed with thoughts and other sources, Maria became totally unaware of her surroundings. Totally unaware in fact that wasn't able to have to time to avoid bumping into someone. Things came flying into the air and to top it off, she landed on the hard pavement with a loud thud. "Sorry..." was all that she had uttered, for despite being cold and being uncaring, Maria still knows the concept of saying sorry.

Another day. Another reason for Koboshi Aiko to be in Hogwarts. These days she much prefered to be in the gardens or on the lawn. She very much liked to accidently bump into Noboru. He of course knew that she did it on purpose, but he humoured her and let her play her games. It was only when she was with him that she played them anyway. She was surprised how easy Noboru's Koboshi came out. The side of her that was indeed "in love". Something she had never thought would ever happen to her. Had she ever thought she would be in love, she probably would have treated her friends better when the spoke about love. Though it would have been out of character for her as when she is not with Noboru, she was usually a b!tch. Except when she was in the presence of other Slytherins, to which she was a sweet angel. Even her parents saw her as the b!tch she played. It was just the sort of thing she used. It was her facade. But it had always worked for her, so why did she need to stop it? She wondered as she walked further down the path towards the openess of the Great Lawn. It was indeed getting quite dark but she liked being outside in the dusk because a) she looked even more beautiful then normal and b) it was such a beautiful time of day. Besides, there were rarely any little first years around to disturb the peace. So when she felt someone bump into her she frowned and looked over at the girl and gritted her teeth. How dare she. However she soon recognised the girl as Maria Leingod. The young fourth year with cold and claculated thoughts. She smiled. What fun.

"Yeah, you should be sorry..." She said by way of introduction as she picked herself up off the ground. How dare Maria bump into her. It was really annoying. "I will tell you though, while a accept your apology today, I do not like being walked into... got that!?" She asked later, looking at her nails and cursing at the sight of a broken one. "Kore o fakku. Watashi no imaimashî tsume o otta." She could not believe the sight of a broken nail. She was not pleased this. Not pleased at all.

If you don't mind i decided to go ahead and say that they know each other from around the common room and stuff. Otherwise i can edit.

Maria felt her blood boil from hearing the person's response. Sure, she had bumped into her but then again, she had already said her sorry too. So her acting like that was in no way reasonable at all. Trying to control her temper, Maria bit her lower lip. She wasn't going to let her irritation get the best out of her today. No, she won't succumb to the pleasure of talking back to this person who had just dared to talk that way to her. Dusting her clothes, she grabbed the book that is inches away from her. Thankfully though, it was still in good condition. Sure, she didn't particularly like the book, but still, it was her sister's possession, so like it or not, she's supposed to take good care of it.

"I already apologized you know." She said as she stood up. As she got a better view of the person that she had just bumped into, the reason why the said person had answered her that way had become as clear as day. It was Koboshi Aiko. A slytherin girl just like her who is formerly known as a b!tch. "That explains why." She muttered under her breath before she looked at the older student once more. "I got it, I myself do not really appreciate being walked into, so if you don't mind, I'd appreciate it if you would also look at where you are going." Now, she knew that this is no way to talk to an older person, who more or less knows a lot more spells that she can use against her. However, Maria's temper is going against her and she cannot really stop herself from saying those words.

"I really don't understand what you are saying, but if you're talking about your nails, then, should I apologize too?"
Maria didn't understand the language that Koboshi had just used, but from the way the the older girl is looking at her nails, she's probably pertaining to it. And from the looks of it as well, she doesn't look so pleased about what had happened. "It's just your nail though, you could easily fix it." She said offhandedly, turning on her heel to step away from the older girl, which might have been considered rude for someone like her.

don't worry, it's fine.. it would be easier that way.
