I have purchased a few items but they aren't showing up in my inventory. All it says are first year supplies.

The reason why that is would be because when you purchase an item, a member of staff has to add it to the inventory.
So it will arrive there, but it might not be immediate especially with the amount of students buying items for their schooling around this time of year.
