Why? Because Isabella is a natural born leader, she is very ambitious and has no problem clawing her way to the top.
|Appearance|
Hair: Chocolate brown hair that reaches mid-back and is often in loose waves or curled to perfection. At times it may be picked up in a messy yet elegant up do. Isabella is almost always wearing a headband!
Eyes: Espresso brown that can occasionally turn a dark chocolate color if really angered or annoyed
Height: Isabella stands shortly at only 5 feet, 5 inches, but appears much taller due to the way she carries herself with pride, poise, confidence, and elegance.
Style: Isabella is very much into fashion and is well known for her iconic vintage yet high-polished look, even winning the "Best Dressed" award for the Yearbook in her third year. She will never be caught wearing jeans and likes to wear tights/stockings with her dresses and skirts. She would always rather dress up than dress down for any occasion.
A Change in Attitude: In the beginning of her third year, Isabella went through a rebellious stage and began to dress differently, with a more grunge look and even provocatively, just to get back at her parents whom she was angry with, but after her mother passed away on Yule Ball night she immediately stopped dressing that way and began dressing appropriately like a lady should.
Other Distinguishing Features: Isabella has a sweet and innocent smile, coupled with adorable dimples that make her instantly seem friendly and likable. As a Slytherin, she is cunning enough to know that she can use this to her advantage and often charms her way with everyone or everything with her smile.
|A Little Deeper|
Personality: Isabella is a somewhat guarded character, very selective of her friends and who she associates herself with as well as who she opens herself up to. She likes to be seen in a good way and doesn't want people ruining her image. When she was first arriving at Hogwarts she came off as a very social person, even hosting a large party on the train to Hogwarts, however this was just her method of selecting who was worthy enough to be her friend and who wasn't. Once she has figured out who her friends are she is very loyal to them as a Slytherin would be to those they want to be. Although Isabella comes off mean and rude, she is very charismatic and charming, able to make others like her despite the negative image she is now perceived as. Even if she is a mean person, you have to give her credit for being able to get away with anything because of her subtle ability to charm the pants off someone, even making others do something they never thought they would. It is also said that her natural 'leadership' skills have something to do with it.
Isabella is sorted into Slytherin House because of her conniving, ambitious ways. Though she comes off rude and elitist (and she is to a certain degree) she has a lot of charm to make up for her mean personality. Isabella has known she wants to be a Prefect since her first year but it is only a checkpoint on her quest to become Head Girl. She wants to show that not all Slytherins are bad (though her mean attitude doesn't somewhat help that) and will claw her way to the top if she has to. It is clear that Isabella is a natural born leader because she is the Hogwarts Monthly Editor, the Fashion Research and Design Club Leader, and the Co-Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team, and along with those responsibilities she is also employed at Dervish and Banges.
Isabella wears her heart on her sleeve. When she likes you, you'll know it. And when she's hurt, although she tries her best to hide it, you can tell. She is a very expressive, emotional person. She's stubborn to the point of being a sore loser, she just can't help it; yet she can also be very compassionate and easy-going. She's just a complex person with emotions.
History: Isabella was born and raised in Firenze, Italy (Florence to most) into a wealthy pureblood family. Both her parents, Daphne and Charles Chaos were Unspeakables for the Italian Ministry of Magic, but were therefore too busy to take care of her. They hired Pamela Macey, a young woman from Spain to be her caretaker and instantly became her 'parental guidance.' Because she was an only child (for eleven years at least) and because her parents were always too busy for her, Isabella was quite simply spoiled. She has always gotten what she wants. Many sports were considered to be 'off-limits' to her because her father claimed they were too rough for a 'lady', but the only one he allowed her to play was Quidditch, in which he liked to be her coach and no one else. Although Isabella was hardly raised by her parents, they still had many traditions together, such as an annual family portrait and solo portrait in their living room, going out ice skating the day after Christmas, etc.

Life since she started Hogwarts has changed drastically for Isabella, and none has been rather pleasant for her.
First Year: Her parents first relocated to New Zealand in an attempt to be closer to her after they realized their feeble relationship with her failing even more now that she was at school, and they both quit their jobs. During the winter break (summer break in NZ) she found out tha she is not an only child after all, and gained a half-sister, Wendy Chaos, resulting from a previous affair of her fathers with a Muggle. This did not go over well with Isabella at all, she threw a fit and yelled at her parents, feeling like they were all being hypocritical to everything they had brought her up to be. Her father always stressed the importance of her marrying a Pureblood to keep their blood alive, while all this time he had gone and stepped out on his wife and had a child with a Muggle. Along with that Isabella was livid with her mother for not leaving her father immediately upon finding out about Wendy, and she thought that was hypocritical of her mother as well, since she used to always give her lectures about boys and what to do if they hurt you. But her parents had to remind her that when Isabella was seven years old, she had forced them to perform an Unbreakable Vow in front of her stating that they'd never get a divorce. They had tried faking it, but Isabella's aunt, who meddled in Dark Arts, had unintentionally explained to her how they worked, so their 'fake' Vow didn't fool Bella, and they had to perform a real one. Anyway, to this day Isabella still isn't fond of Wendy but has warmed up to her slightly, just slightly. Wendy is currently a Gryffindor which also annoys Isabella as she ruins the Slytherin tradition in the family.
Second Year: Despite being upset over gaining Wendy as a sibling, Isabella was quite happy to find out her mother was pregnant in her second year. Isabella now has two younger twin siblings, Valentina and Capulet Chaos who are about a year and a half old. While Isabella was away at school, her caretaker Pamela Macey ran into Valeria Trevi, Isabella's older cousin who looks a lot like Bella. Valeria was rarely ever seen, let alone talked about during family gatherings because her parents (Isabella's aunt and uncle) were ashamed of her for being pregnant during her last year of school. What they were also upset about was that she conceived with a person who wasn't Pureblood. So, after a lot of verbal abuse from her home, Valeria ran away, attempting at a family with Deja's father, but he wanted nothing to do with them, so she ended up in New Zealand, unaware of any relatives there. After talking with Pamela, she and her daughter were welcomed into the Chaos household and her whereabouts were kept private from her parents.
Third Year: During the summer before her third year, Isabella was shocked, and ultimately hurt, to find out that her long time caretaker and best friend, Pamela Macey, was quitting her job as their caretaker and maid. Isabella was extremely hurt, especially since Pamela hadn't been there to say goodbye to her, and had already moved on with her new life and job in New Zealand. Isabella blamed Pamela's leave on her parents, asking why they didn't demand she stay for her, and how could they possibly disregard her feelings, etc. and not listening to their explanations that Pamela was never supposed to stay with them for that long and that Isabella was already capable of taking care of herself. They had already hired another caretaker, Valeria's best friend Victoria Chambers, to care after the two younger Chaos children. Overly emotional, Isabella shrieked at them that she hated them, and ran up to her room to cry. Under her pillow she found a note with an address where she could run away to for a little while. She then Flooed to the address, not knowing who wrote the note and who's place it was until she got there. It turned out that the new caretaker Victoria, had predicted her actions and gave her a safe place to escape for a little while, but Isabella ended up staying there the entire summer, and ignoring her family. Victoria covered for her, saying she was staying with Pamela and Isabella ended up going back to school without ever talking to her family and was now going through a rebellious stage, dressing inappropriately (if her parents saw her they'd freak out!) and skipping most of her classes, disregarding rules and stuff. Throughout the year she ignored the multitude of owls she received from her parents, asking her to please forgive them and talk to her again. A big issue throughout the year was also that she began having dreams filled with owls--dreams with owls in them are a huge Chaos family death omen, meaning someone in the family is going to die that year. Isabella tried her best to ignore them, even going without sleep for as many days as she could before she'd completely crash, but the truth was that death was looming closer and closer, and still she wouldn't write to her parents. On the day before the Yule Ball, she dreamed of the owls as usual, only now they were screeching, the final sign that death was coming soon, and the next day on the night of the Yule Ball, Isabella received an owl that her mother had passed away in a car accident. She had bled too much so by the time she got to St. Mungo's it was hopeless. Isabella was in complete and utter shock, and hasn't been the same person since her mother's death, it's been a humbling experience. She thinks about her constantly and wishes for nothing more than to take back the 'I hate you' that she told her mother, the very last thing she ever told her.
