In Paris

Roswald and Lila had been together for the past several months; he had grown to love Lila and knew this was the moment. He told Lila to meet him after works in Paris were they first had their first date in the Eiffel tower. He had chosen this spot so perfectly for moment but he felt nervous at the time. He felt his hands become sweaty even tried a charm to stop him from sweating too much but it wasn’t working. “Damn...” he felt his heart skip a beat trying to cool and cal himself down, why was it so hard to just ask the question. “Grrr.” He felt himself groan, as he waited at the top, were they had the perfect view of Paris. It was wonderful the weather was chilled, not as much since he was inside were there was restaurant at the top that muggels didn’t knew about. It was hidden only to them but to a wizard just slip into one of the rails and your there.

A waitress would appear by his side, as he sat down looking at the menu, he order some French wine for later but at the moment all he could seem to bring down was water. “Thank you water is fine.” He said to the waitress as a glass of water appeared in front of him within minutes. Grabbing hold of the cup, he pressed it against his lips feeling the cold liquid slither down his throat. It felt like he could perfectly describe everything as he gulped it down quickly. You could tell he was nervous as he waited for Lila to come. He hopes she would show up soon and had not forgotten about tonight.

Lila had a busy day at the Ministry and yet her life in the past three months had changed so rapidly into what could be described as lovely. From the day Roswalld Hollawarth, the man whom she dearly loved had come back to NewZealand it seemed like she was reborned.Today, when he asked her out for a date she had blushed crimson and giving him a dazzling smile she had accepted the invitation.

She dressed in a beautiful green dress.Deciding to let down her brown curls, she quickly brushed them neatly. Putting on some elegant jwellery she apparated to Paris. The place, France was so romantic and she had never imagined Roswalld as someone who could even ask one out for such a romantic date. The efile tower was gleaming in all the shiny lights and the love in the air made it more beautiful.

Lila found a guard dressed in black awaiting her. He escorted her to a muggle resturant from where she found the view was amaizing. Her eyes just took a second to spot the man she loved. With a big smile on her face that revealed her right dimple she walked towards him.

Roswald would sense the sweet smell in their air and at the moment he knew she had arrived. It was like her alluring fragrance called out to him, as his darken iris would look around to spot the woman he cherish with all his being. She was beautifully dressed in what seemed like a emerald gown, she looked so breath taking as she walked towards him. Getting up quickly to his feet he would have sworn she had taken his breath away almost knocking him down as he buckle trying hard to stay at poise.

Greetings her with adoring affection, he wrapped his arms around her petite waist embracing her with all the love that he could offer but lightly she seems so fragile to him. His lips would meet her soft pout devouring her sweet scent; her soft petal pout brushing up against his always made his heart skipped a beat. “Hello love..” he would say as he look back into her soft eyes smiling a grin so wide, he could feel his lips almost curl back. “You look beautiful what’s the occasion?” he joked softly chuckling.

Lila smiled as she was embraced by Roswalld and returned the kiss passionately.As their lips met, her heart came to her heart, beating faster and a fire rose in her body.Breaking apart she spoke in almost a whispher ''Meeting you is the greatest occasion of all''
Allowing herself to take a breather so that she would be able to come back into her senses she took a glance at the restuarant and smiled. ''This place is very beautiful'' she said with a smile.

''Thanks for inviting me'' she told him gazing into his eyes.

Roswald chuckle as he let her go to pull up a chair for Lila. "Its the same one went to on our first date" it didn't resemble the same though. "Its charm to look different everyday, some nights it would actually be half a pub and half a restaurant" he heard about it from a friend at the Ministry that why he had choosen this place from the beginning. As she sat down, Roswald would than stride towards his seat, plopping down gently as he fix himself up. He smiled at Lila, as soft music started to play in the background, it sounded like o'l french muggel music. Something you wouldn't normally hear, only in concernt and restaurant as this.


"Its my pleasure as always.." he said with a continous grin. "How was your day?" he would normally asked Lila even though they work in the same place, he barley sees her. His department require alot of travelling, in and out of the office which is why he enjoy his work so much.

Lila recallled, how could she forget their very first date. It had been at the same location except that the whole place seemed different in three months. She couldn't blame it, her life had changed so dramatically the looks of restaurants hardly mattered anymore as long as she were with him. ''Thats very intresting'' she said as he told her about the charm on the restaurant. As the soft melody started playing she smiled, music had always been a touchy topic for Lila and it always helped her relax.

''Busy'' she said when Roswalld ask how her day had been. Although they had shared lunch Lila was hardly present with Roswalld as her mind was racing on the reports that were due that evening. Everything had just gone perfect after he had asked her out and now here she was after an absolutely busy day with no seconds to spare to a romantic dinner with him. ''I am sorry that I recieved half dozen owls during lunch, it was a mess because Jackson is on leave and all his work has been put on my desk'' she said realizing how much she had been talking allowing him to sit silently. Once again her cheeks reddened due to her thought that embarassed her in a way. ''How had yours been?'' she asked him.

"Jackson still out?" Roswald asked wondering really who Jackson was. He played as if he remembered, not his fault really he travels too much to even remember. "It’s alright Hun, I know how work can be complicated, now there a new section of Zealand, that was just recently added, been patrolling lot there" he said knowing how things can get when new area comes along. “It’s a mall, been keeping an eye on it lot lately,” he was more worried for the safety of both their kids. Maddiie and Kasey the most seeing as they both attended Hogwarts. That reminded him of something “Oh Maddiie thank you for the pendant we sent out for her birthday, you sure have good taste in choosing.” He smiled knowing he was really bad at choosing gifts, well maybe not.

He was missing them both as much, and hopes that one day there family would merge. That’s Lila, said…He felt himself trail, than snap out of his daze like trance. “So what do you want to order sweetie, I’m not sure what I would get, menus hard to read all the times...” but he knew how to read it perfectly he was just getting a bit nervous was all...

Lila smiled as Roswalld said the right words as usual. She was always used to everything being perfect with him being around, she hardly had to worry but she couldn't help noticing that he was not quite himself today."Yeah I have been to the mall, its very interesting especially for teenagers so I was thinking to take Maddiie and Kasey shopping during the holidays" she said sliding a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Thats so sweet of her" she said grinning happily that Maddiie liked the gift.

As Roswalld asked what she would have, she took a moment to consider what she felt like eating and the answer she had come up with was "I'd like some red wine" she said with a sweet smile. "Roswalld is there something bothering you?"she asked him judging by the way Roswalld was acting today.

Roswald look over the menu a few times, a grin appear on his face as Lila mention the girls. Its as if she already taking the place of her mother physically and mentally yes. But in her heart no, though Roswald knew Maddiie had enough for everyone. "That be great I'm sure Kasey and Maddiie would enjoy in afternoon with just you three." he was sure Maddiie wouldn't mind it now that she was of age and a adult basically. "That reminds me I have to meet up with Ben, Jon and Jay soon. Probably do some sort of bonding activities." something fun that he knew Lila would go haywire over.

"No there nothing wrong Love," he answered as smooth as ever. Roswald had sort of calm down now but he could still tell he was getting anxious by the moment. Ordering red wine, and breadsticks to start off with, he smile at Lila. He knew she was a vegeterian so he would have to choose something not so opposite from her taste. "May try the pasta." he said slipping the menu towards the waiter. "How are you feeling though?" he ask wondering how she was besides work wise and family.​

Lila heard Roswalld saying the girls would love it. Grinning as he mentioned to do some bonding activities Lila thought about where all this was heading. Smiling to herself on the thought she had. Although Roswalld assured her he was fine but Lila could sense something. Have I forgotten something? she thought considering the ideas of events that could lead to Roswalld asking her out on a date today. His birthday? Your birthday?! Nah! she assured herself that she hadn't forgotten anything and that everything was normal.

As he said that they may try the pasta, she raised an eyebrow. Was he eating vegetrain for her, if it was so she wasn't going to let him do so. "Roswalld, its 'kay. You can order whatever you like, I don't mind" she said with a smile not wanting him to ruin his dinner because of her. "Pasta's good for me" she added hoping he would order whatever he wished without hesitating.

Lila smiled as he asked again how she was feeling. Did he mean to ask how I am feeling when I am with him? she thought as a slight blush rose on her cheek. "I have been great for the past three months and at the moment, I am very happy. All my tension is relieved when I see you, you know that" she said with a smile admitting how she was really feeling. But the words she had used would not be able to explain him how happy she was, how much he meant to her.

"I'm just happy that your alright Love." alright no he wanted to make sure she was brilliant. It had taken them a couple years to be where they were right now. Dating on and off again, not seeing each other for a while when Roswald left. He was just happy she had given him another chance.

"Pastas is good with me." he smiled as the waiter came back again with, pastas and salad bowls. "Besides I love the way they make here, silk but with rich flavour at the same time." he said as he took a fork within his hand and started to eat the pasta away. Lila was so good at reading his mind, but he was playing it safe, his hands now working around the table making him less nervous than he was before. "So what's Ben, been up to lately? I feel like I don't see him much, never really do stop by the house?" he asked Lila lingering the conversation else were.

Lila smiled as Roswalld served himself. Men were always hungry, she never knew one who wasn't. Even Benjamin and Daniel complained about food all the time and it had been same with Steve. She chuckled to herself on the thought and served some pasta in her plate and began eating. It was delicious and nice, just the way Roswalld described it. " I like the way they have decorated it with cheese" she said grinning boardly like a teenager who would just do anything for some cheese.

"Benjamin" she said sighing loudly to herself as she shook her head swallowing the pasta. "The boy is brilliant at studies and games but his behaviour is what keeps on bothering me" she admitted first time to someone. "His hormones are really kicking in and I don't think he recalls the names of all the girls he dates and flirts with. Many times I have come across young ladies smiling at me and asking me how he is" she said remembering his last encounter with a girl who was almost in tears when she learnt that Ben was sick.

"I suppose its time now that he is to complete his studies to explain him all this" she added sipping the red wine. "He's really focused about learning about medicines and joining St.Mungos but about his realtionships, I cannot say"

Roswald chuckle, he reminded of himself when he was younger. Although Tina had stolen his heart before he even got the chance to act the way Ben was acting out. Than again, things have changed over the years, young men now and days, they care more about items and luxuries than being with a girl. They would date plenty till they find their girl of their dream, most of the time rushing into that relationship. Only to be disappointed after breaking up, it wasn’t as serious as before. “I could say the same thing about Jon and Jacob”. He added with amusement. “Last I heard Jon been talking to a young lady in Maddiie school, and someone from his school, these boys now and days.” He said as he slowly chewed his pasta.

“Jay on the other hand...” he shook his head unable to finish it. “Let’s just says he has lot friends that are girls.” More like friends with benefits, but he did recall one girl Jay was eyeing, say she was a blonde headed one. “Brightside is he getting good with his quidditch, he wrote and told me that coach were very impressed with his moves. Even met a scoting coach, the ones from Irleand was sure looking at him.” He smiled, seeing how proud he was of both his sons, and Ben. “Jon will be joining me soon at the ministry but that’s good news on Ben. I can actually talk to someone at St.Mungos for recommendations if you like love?” he asked with a grin as the music of the restaurant began to play again.

Lila heard Roswalld explain about his kids and their relationship issues. Smiling to herself she had to admit that when she was young she hadn't been any less flirty but now as a parent all she had to do was make sure her children made the right sort of friends and in that case she had no complains.

Carrying on with her dinner, she enjoyed the pasta and sipped her wine. As Roswalld said that Jon would soon be joining the Ministry, Lila grinned. "Thats gonna be so good" she said happy for Jon. "Oh yeah, that would be great" she said to him when he asked about helping Ben with St.Mungo's. "He's planning on sorting it all out this summer and start a training as a healer from January. Your help will give him a good boost their, Thanks" she said looking into his eyes.

They were always mesmerizing and according to Lila she always saw different emotions in them. As for now, she could see how much he loved and cared for her.How lucky she was to have him, she thought it was all a dream.

Roswald found enough courage to do what he was thinking next. After eating what was on his plate and a couple glass of wine, he finally was going to do what he meant to do years ago. Oh how times have changed and flown by so fast. Getting up he felt his hand break out into sweat, it was now or never, this is something he had to do.


Taking a detour around Lila side of the table, like a noble night he drop down onto one knee. Already he had one hand in his pocket, he wanted this to be near perfect. Gasping the box out into his right hand, he held a lace boxed, lace with black satin that is. Clearing his throat, he slowly presented Lila with the plantnium band ring with a good sized diamond crested on top, it was flawless shimmering as he held it and finally spoke.


"Dear Lila" he started, "You have been my everything for such a long time words can't express how much I feel about you. I meant to do this years back, I didn't think a man like me would ever find another to fill in the deep sorrow I once felt before. I'm just happy that you were able to give me another chance. Now its my turn, give me the chance to make you happy. Give me the chance, to show you how much I care about the most loveliest woman in the world." he said genuinely. "Lila Carla will you marry me?" he ask finally, holding his breath.​

Lila was almost done with dinner chatting happily with Roswalld on different topics. It was a great night and she simply loved being with him. As she sipped her final sip of wine she raised her eyebrows as Roswalld knelt down before her chair. She could not believe what see was seeing. Then as he said it she froze, wanting to seize the moment and memorize it forever.

She beamed at him as silent tears flowed down her eyes. Getting up she laughed and nodded her headed being unable to speak anything.Not wanting Roswalld to kneel before her forever she said "Yeah Roswalld, I'll marry you" She accepted the ring he had bought her. It was so beautiful and must have been expensive but for her it was priceless.

She brought herself close to him and standing on her toes, she reached up to kiss him. Knotting her hands behind his neck, she kissed him happily not bothering about the audience that watched.

Roswald slipped the ring onto her finger, he had bought this particular ring in Spain. He had brought were his father had bought his mother her ring, they were now burried with her, so Roswald decided it would mean a lot either way. He jumped to his feet as he held her close to his torso breathing in her lovely scent. "Lila you just made me the happiest man alive." he beamed, letting her close to look within her features leaning in to deeply kiss her. Everyone around them had awed at the middle age couple, Roswald felt like he had just won life most precious gift.


Taking her by the hand he slowly walk her towards the middle of the restaurant. A slow but live music would be played by France most famous composure Elliott Néil, he was playing his well known piece on the grand piano. "I guess we both lost love and found it at the best time eh?" he smiled genuinely twirling Lila around once, to hold her close to his form.

Lila smiled as he slipped the ring on her slender finger. It was beautiful. "The ring will be the best gift you ever gave to me" she said in a whisper. Wiping away her tears she laughed as Roswalld said that she had made him the happiest man alive. She joined him to dance as the French music played. It had been such a beautiful evening and it had just taken the turn in her life. The happy turn that would lead her to happiness.

"Yeah. Guess everyone has their time to be happy" she said as she danced graciously with Roswalld. She looked into his deep handsome eyes which made her go crazy whenever she gazed into them. They held so much and now they had so much love for her. She was so happy.
