Excuse my lame arse title and RP, I was rushing.

Preparations had not taken long, with a careful flick of his wand he set up an appointment with a muggle restaurant for himself and Leah. This restaurant was one he had been once with a business associate when he was eighteen but now Fletcher was twenty-seven and to be there with Leah Finch, someone he’d much rather spend time with.

Fletcher apparated to Leah’s home from the Thai city. After checking if he had splinched himself and after a sigh of relief, he knocked on the door to her home. The man had asked her out on a date but had not informed her where they would be going because he thought it to be far more romantic and that was exactly what he wanted for this date. Due to holidays coming up shortly and that he would be in Thailand Fletcher wished to leave a lasting, and positive, impression on Leah should someone find interest in her on New Years Eve when he would be with his family as he had promised because the last Christmas he had been unable to enjoy the holidays with them at all.

The Bennet family was a small one. Fletcher was the eldest and had two younger siblings, both girls and both still in school. His mother had died and since then his father had been out of sorts, as had his sisters. The need to spend time with one another was pressed on by the three of them and he certainly could not refuse such a thing and he wouldn’t. He certainly hoped Leah was the same because it had been an unspoken fact that they would not see one another over the Christmas holidays.

Fletcher put his hand down to his side and smoothed down the pressed leg of his pant and looked down at his black shoes. His anxiety seemed to over come him as he waited every second make the pulse drum louder in his ears and a frown press on his face that was directed at himself. For a man of nearly thirty you’d think that dating would get even a smidgen easier.

A pair of gleeful azure irises, accentuated in a shimmer of pastel eye make-up, flitted quickly across the reflection that stood in the full length mirror. A delicate hand of fingers reached up to slick another layer of gloss across pouted pink lips for what must have been the tenth time in the space of half an hour. The other slicked over the bodice of her dress in a musical jingle of various bangles on her wrist. There was a sweet mingled smell of a sandalwood perfume and coconut oil on her neck, an impressive pair of heels strapped to her feet and a wondrous twinkle in her eye. One thing was for certain, love looked good on Leah Finch.

After having dropped off Jay at her brother’s earlier that afternoon, Leah had spent the rest of her time smilingly thinking of her possible lover as she donned a few different dresses for good measure. She had almost had the incentive to demand that he tell her where they were going just so she’d know what to wear. But having thought about it for a moment more, she had decided that the element of surprise would be far too valuable to sacrifice. And Leah loved surprises. Tingling on the inside and practically bouncing with excitement on the out, the doe-eyed woman made an undignified clutter down the hall as she heard a knock. Having been all ears for it the entire stretch of the early evening, hearing it near overwhelmed her with glee.

The front door was reached in a matter of seconds but Leah stole a moment more to bottle her nerves and regain the composure that a woman in her mid-twenties should have possessed regardless. But there was just something about Fletcher that had her all over the place and yet bound so fast to him that it made her breathless. With one last sighed exhale, she unclasped the door and let it swing open in the warm westerly wind. He stood before her; tall, dark, handsome and was that anxiety she saw? I’ll have to change that. The blonde woman though smilingly to herself as her azure eyes matched against the paler shades of his own. For a moment she lingered a few feet away from him, spinning gracefully and ever-so slowly in a tight circle purely for his own pleasure but Leah knew she wouldn’t be able to keep her hands off that lean body for too much longer. Gently she stepped forward until their chests were almost pressed against one another’s and leant up to greet him. “Hey you.” She whispered softly into Fletcher’s ear and graced his jaw line with a kiss so soft and so lingering that it could have almost have been taken as suggestive. It wasn’t, not yet anyway, everything about him was just so wildly intoxicating. “I missed you.” Leaning back so that she could gaze up at him now, Leah wore the most gloriously giddy grins on her lips. She didn’t care how foolish she seemed though, this was him, she was more than sure that this was Mr. Right and she was so fortunate as to have a date with him tonight.

Fletcher looked up as he heard the front door opened and smiled to himself, still oh-so awestruck by Leah. The pale blue orbs seemed to light up as he watched his love spin around in a small circle but they seemed to return to their normal dull colour as their chests touched. “Beautiful,” he hummed softly as his hands wound around her small waist and looked down at the woman he knew would end up marrying. For now he was enjoying learning about her through their peaceful conversations and glances that told him more then words could ever. As a reflex, Fletcher’s arms tightened around her as she leant up and he smiled at her greeting. The whispered words and soft kiss made this moment private and yet, like it was watched by some sort of higher power that constructed this connection between Leah and Fletcher.

Muscular arms loosened, only slightly, around Leah as she rested back down and Fletcher looked down at her with warmth on his features so plainly that it could have been written in a big, black, bolded font. He was quite obviously in love with Leah Finch. “I missed you.” Seeing the wondrously happy smile on her lips, brought a twin smile onto his own, as had the words. "I missed you too, Leah." He often wondered why he did not just quit his job and move to Australia and pick up some common wizarding job so he could stay close to Leah. But Fletcher knew why, he loved his job, it was what he had always been good at and what he had always enjoyed. Besides, being apart made for far more interesting reunions, or so he imagined, never having been in one place for over a month since he was sixteen.

Fletcher placed a soft kiss, which promised more time for them, on her forehead. "Are you set?" he asked as he pulled from her, allowing Leah to close and lock her door so they could apparate away but of course he was in no rush. The reservation could wait for them; he just wished to spend time with Leah where ever that may be.

Leah had never known a man to hold her so perfectly as Fletcher did. Right now even the simplest of embraces seemed to snatch her breath away. Sometimes she couldn’t help but wonder if this spark of theirs would fade over time, like the more familiar he’d become, the less exciting he’d be. But Leah would instantly correct herself. No matter how many times she had seen it happen to other couples or if he’d kissed her a million times over; Fletcher would always set her heart racing, even when they were old and grey. A hushed giggle brushed past her lips at this; the two of them barely knew each other and she was already thinking about marriage? But this was the path she knew that they’d stroll down together. This was true love, this was real love.

The words he’d returned seemed to float between them in the midst of their gazes for a moment and briefly she wished that their lives were not ten thousand miles apart. They’d make it work somehow though, Leah knew that they would. Her hands slid along the length of his arms, paying intricate detail to the lean muscles that built them and she smiled up at him once more, just in time for the kiss he touched to her forehead. "Are you set?" Whilst one hand dropped entirely from his arm, the other crept down to his hand and held it lovingly. As she reached for the door her fingers brushed against the brass handle and for a moment or two she hesitated. An urge overcame Leah suddenly, one that made her just want to positively jump him then and there, regardless of their reservation. But there would be a moment for that and right now she didn’t feel it was it. Perhaps it would be tonight, perhaps it wouldn’t. A pair of azure irises darted to Fletcher almost shyly as she heard the door click shut, suddenly flushed by all of these thoughts. But she nodded nonetheless and graced the corner of his mouth with an adoring kiss before curling tightly against his body to press her ear to where if she listened closely enough she might just hear his heartbeat. “Ready when you are Fletch.” Growing anxious in anticipation of the apparition, Leah snuggled in close to his warmth and knew that there was no bed or house or heaven above that would make her feel any safer than when she was in Fletcher’s arms.

At Leah’s giggle, which Fletcher thought was adorable, he looked at her curiously but smiled and decided whatever in her mind that had made her laugh, was good there. He could only assume that this was not something that it was positive and that she would tell him if she really wanted.

His love’s careful movements brought the hairs on the back of his neck stand and his toothy grin widen into a full blown smile that looked rather goofy but the sentiment was all there. Fletcher was the happiest he had ever been in his life and if he believed in reincarnation, then his lives. He was sure nothing could ever get any better then being with Leah Finch. The comfort he felt with her, coupled with his anxiety about being with her, brought a new wave of emotions out of the reserved man that he had not before experienced and even if he was wrong about them. Even if they did not end up getting married and having children, (which for some reason he imagined would be girls that he would spoil endlessly) then grow old together, he was just overjoyed and thankful to have met her. As their hands found their rightful place, clasped affectionately together, Fletcher smiled like the happy bastard he was and watched her close the door to her home.

Having never been very good at apparition, Fletcher was a little more then anxious to side apparate with Leah and nearly asked her if maybe Floo travel would be better but wondered what fire place would they have to end up using, he severely doubted that floo’ing into a muggle restaurant would not make the front covers of a Thai newspaper. With his mind ticking so quickly, his heart nearly stopped when he felt Leah’s lips on his. Sighing softly, the man wrapped his arms around Leah in return. Letting her settle, he rested his chin atop her head and smiled before they popped out of Oceania and into Asia.

“Welcome to Thailand, my love,” Fletcher said, slipping out his feelings for her hidden behind the introduction to the beautiful Thai city. “Hope you don’t mind, I thought the Junction was a bit overdone,” he smiled down to Leah as he pulled from her and took her hand so she could see the view of extravagantly decorated buildings that were strung about.

Where the couple stood, it was clear that this was not Bangkok. For one, it was not as busy but there was something far more spiritual about it. In fact, it was the Chiang Mai Provence. They stood in front of the Pratat Doi Suthep, which was one of his favorite buildings in the world. Fletcher was by no means religious, but he found this temple exquisite and he smiled at it before smiling down at Leah, whose hand he squeezed softly.

Leah could only just feel the tug behind her navel over the restless butterflies in her stomach that Fletcher had set flight to. Apparition had never been something she had particularly enjoyed, not for the awful nausea it brought on or the fact that it was magic she was performing. But curled up in Fletcher’s arms it seemed no more difficult or exciting than stepping out of her front door each and every morning. Would it always be like this when he was around? This invincible feeling that made her believe she could tackle anything if only he were there with her? But the blonde woman’s thoughts came to a rest as she peeked out from their embrace to find herself in a whole new world. A wondrous gasp escaped her lips as her azure eyes swept across their surroundings in amazement. Since her move to Bondi, Leah had rarely left Sydney to road trip with Izaak, following the beaches up and down the east coast of Australia, let alone an entirely different country. A rush of excitement coursed through her veins, winding the young woman up as she lit up in her man’s arms. But it all mellowed to a simmering slow as Fletcher called her his love. Her heart skipped an ecstatic beat; his love! “Hope you don’t mind, I thought the Junction was a bit overdone,” Still dazed by his words, Leah managed a small shake of her head in dismissal and allowed her eyes to steal away from him just long enough to soak in the exotic Thai vicinity.

Before long, Leah’s temptations grasped the better of her and she jumped excitedly into him once more, her hands reaching for his strong shoulders as she did so. “I love you!” She exclaimed with a hint of breathlessness to her voice and a grin on her lips before stretching up on her tip toes to engage him in a deep kiss. It had not even occurred to her what she had just confessed until she heatedly broke away from Fletcher’s lips. The blush was evident on her cheeks, the coy smile playing softly on her lips was as well. But Leah disregarded all of it because she did love Fletcher, she loved him like no other man on the entire planet. “I love you... I love you... I love you...” She breathed with a smile in her voice, gracing his jaw line with the tiniest of kisses in between each set of words. Once more did she squeeze his shoulders in a tight embrace before rocking back on her heels so she could gaze up into those watered blue eyes of his. “Thank you.” Calmer now that she had spilt her true feelings to him, Leah smiled up at her love almost shyly and wondered if he’d reciprocate the words she had just spoken.

The excitement in his love's face was enough for him to smile equally as bright as she. Her joy fueled his own and he wrapped his arms carefully around her. “I love you!” Fletcher's breath hitched at Leah's words and a grin of silly proportions slid onto his lips and before he was even given the chance to share his own love for her, their lips were on one another's. Still in shock, his arms wound around her and pulled her in close as they kissed. The hungry, needy kiss brought Fletcher to nearly apparate her back to her home but as their lips parted he was aware that it probably be a bad idea, no matter how temptation scorched through him... well maybe not a bad idea but either way he thought maybe he should not. Yet.

Inhaling Leah's sweet scent, Fletcher sighed with a wondrous amount of joy on his love-struck features. This was the single greatest moment in his entire life and as her last words were spoken and their last embrace was given, Fletcher pulled Leah's waist closer in again and said in a husky voice, "I love you too." Before giving her a chance to respond to this once more, he leaned down, touching his lips softly onto hers with all the love in the world. Their kiss got progressively deeper and still more affectionate with her before their lips parted, from the simple need of oxygen.
