🌹 Rose Giving If You See Eurydice

Susie was twenty minutes into her rose deliveries, and so far, she'd only found one person on her delivery list. At this rate, she'd be delivering roses until lunch time. Still, the idea that she might be about to deliver some beautiful love confession to someone who was just waiting for it spurred her along the corridor. Oh! Eurydice! There was definitely a rose in Susie's basket for her. "Eury! Guess what!" she said, grinning madly. "I'm delivering roses! And somewhere..." She dug around, looking for Eury's name. "Um - somewhere..."

Eury was walking around with Tizi-nii because apparently he'd decided that he was not going to be leaving her side today unless absolutely necessary. She'd put up a token fuss about it because she was nearly fourteen and definitely did not require this level of supervision, but the Librarian was not to be dissuaded. He'd even waited for her outside of Arithmancy class! Which is how Susie found her (and Tizi-nii). "Oh? How's that going?" she asked, head tilting just a bit as she tried to ignore her brother, who was now staring down at her roommate, who was looking for the supposed rose.

"Oh, it's great!" Susie said, still digging around. She did have one for Eury, right? It was gonna be real awkward if she didn't. Even the librarian was watching her. "Wow, I am so sorry. I could've sworn I had one for you. I must've - oh! It's here!" Susie pulled out the yellow rose, fixed one of the slight crumpled petals, and thrust it at Eury. "Happy Hufflepu- I mean, Happy Valentine's Day! Sheesh, I can't even talk."

Tizi reached around Eury and plucked the rose out of the girls hands. He knew vaguely of Susie, she wasn't the problem, the rose, on the other hand, might have been. So he quickly checked it before nodding and passing it down to his sister.​

"Thank y-," Eury had been about to take the rose when Tizi-nii took it from Susie. "Next thing I know, you'll be checking my mail," she said with a sigh, though without any real heat. Just... well... putting attitude really as all teenage girls do with their protective older brothers, because it would be weird otherwise not to. She can't really be mad at him, not after what happened with last year's roses, since multiple people had elected to send her not-so-kind ones. She took the rose and the note when Tizi-nii deemed it safe and smiled as she read it. Hmm, she really should go back to the dorm early today to help Prim get ready for her date. As a thank you for the sweet rose, of course. "Happy Valentine's. Received any interesting roses today Susie?" she finally responded to her other roommate as she pocketed the note and twirled the rose lightly between her fingers.​

Susie’s eyes widened a fraction as the librarian stole Eury’s rose. He was reading it? What if it said something personal? Before she knew it, he’d given it back. She nearly questioned it, but Eury didn’t seem too upset, so she closed her mouth and smiled. “Not yet,” she admitted, shifting her weight. “I guess no-one can find me, right? Running around…” It was still early. Susie reminded herself of that. “Happy Valentine’s Day!” she added, forgetting she’d already wished her one.​
