It was a warm afternoon, Annie's classes for the day had finished, the last class she had being her favourite class, potions. This left Annie in a good mood and the evening breeze felt so soothing and pleasant on Annie's cheeks. Her day had been an excellent day so far, everything went as it should and the whole day had been normal for her. Although, Annie did feel a sense of exclusion as she didn't have training that day. The one day a week when she didn't have training was usually the day where she would spend all of the afternoon and sometimes even, most of the night working on her photography. It just happened to be a little unfortunate that her camera was broken. It wasn't much of a loss for her, she took everything she could in the most positive way possible and since her camera was broken it gave her more of a chance just to relax quietly somewhere and lose all the stress she might have. She still wanted at least something to do to kill the seemingly endless time she had until it got dark so she decided to visit the beach. She went there for training anyway and it wouldn't make much difference going there for a few hours to forget about any troubles she may have.

Once she had arrived at the beach she had grown to be so familiar with, Annie smiled to herself. She loved how the soft, warm sand felt between her toes. She was in bare feet yet again. What a surprise. Annie was so used to not ever wearing any shoes that she only put them on when she needed to. However, in her bag that day, Annie had packed as pair of white flats just in case she might need them. She most probably wouldn't but it doesn't hurt at all to be prepared, right? Annie didn't quite want to move from the spot she was standing in, the moment felt right, to just lie there, soaking up the warm afternoon sun. In turn, Annie took off her bag and let it fall into the sand next to her. There was nothing valuable in it so she didn't have to worry about anything. She stretched her arms out and let out a sigh and fell backwards into the sand, one might say she looked comfortable, others would say she looked silly, with the way she had effortlessly fallen into the sand. Annie didn't care in the slightest, she just wanted to relax and have a fun afternoon. There was no crime in spending time in one of your favourite places, and even if there was, Annie wouldn't care at all.

Amy left her last class of the day, Potions. Seeing a fellow student and a friend ahead of her, she decided to follow and at least attempt to make polite conversation. She wasn't in the best mood, because everything seemed dull today, especially since she had returned to the school and left her whole summer behind her. Sighing inwardly, she wandered behind the girl at a reasonable distance and stopped as they reached the beach. It seemed a strange place to go, but as Amy looked up, she noticed it was a nice day. Realising the reasoning behind the chosen destination, she watched as the girl elegantly fell backwards into the sand. It looked a comfy position, but Amy decided that she would probably miss the challenge and just sit down. Slipping her flat shoes off, she elegantly stepped onto the sand, her toes sinking deeply into the soft golden combination and sinking into the sand so that they were covered. Smiling at the feeling, she wandered down to where the girl was lying and elegantly sunk into a seated position next to her. "Can i join you?" She asked, her tone soft like feathers, another advantage of being a half-veela.

It was a nice interruption for the seventh year, when somebody sat next to her and asked to join her, Annie felt comfortable and she nodded as elegantly as she could with sand around her and said a soft and kind "Of course you can." As she sat up and smiled at the girl who had just joined her. There was something about this girl that Annie couldn't quite put her finger on, she ignored it. "I'm Annie, nice to meet you." She said trying to sound as kind and angelic as the other girl had sounded before, although the Beauxbatons student probably failed in her attempt to impress this stranger. It amused her how much she liked talking to people, especially girls around her age to be more exact, in which this girl looked. Not exactly her age but around the same age, at least. Annie continued to smile as she awaited a reply, it was easy to wait, as she soft sand between her toes was so relaxing anyway. This was a nice moment, the ocean was one of Annie's most favourite things and the fun she was having being alone in the sand was nice and all but Annie would much prefer talking to somebody, like she was doing now. The combination of them both was making Annie realise that she was going to have a great day, or what was left of the day at least.

Amy smiled at the girls response and was pleased that she hadn't disturbed the girl badly. Nodding at the introduction, she smiled as well. "Its nice to meet you Annie, im Amy." She said, her tone still soft and light, the exact image of the mood she was in. The use of her nickname, well, name that she preferred, showed a wanting to be friends, rather than just being acquaintances. But of course, the girl didn't know this, only her close friends would know the gesture behind the words. Smiling to herself at the idea of a friendly, but unknown gesture, she looked around, the lovely day, reflecting off the crystal blue sea and the soft, golden sand. She smiled again at the girl this time, happy to sit in peace or to have conversation. That was the girl's choice to make now.

Managing to only pleasantly chuckle instead of laughing, Annie thought that the name Amy was funny, not in a bad way at all, but a good way. This brought on Annie's next comment. "Our names kind of rhyme." Annie stated. It was like her to do that, notice something that was unusual and something that nobody else would notice unless you pointed it out first. This was something about her that she was quietly hoping Amy thought was cool, or funny at least. The sunset was nice, Annie was glad she had gone to the beach. Now she could spend some time talking to somebody who she thought was nice, nice enough to start a conversation with. "So Amy, what brings you to the beach this evening?" Annie asked, tilting her head to the side as a curious person would do. She was the kind of person to ask the obvious questions, it made it easy to get to know somebody.
