Abby was happy. She had been waiting for the right time to talk to Jasper and now that he was going to have a few days off, she was sure that now would be the perfect time. Emily and Nathaniel were at Stephanie's house and so she was busy making lunch for herself and Jasper. It was nothing elaborate, simply Fried Rice, but the way Abby did it, Jasper and the twins loved it. She was hoping that Jasper would figure that she wanted to talk about something because she was actually making the food herself. Normally she would just order something as she is rarely home during the school term, but she only had one class this Semester and it wasn't until Friday anyway. She smiled to herself as she heard Jasper walk into the room. She looked over her shoulder and called out to him. "Lunch will be ready in a moment Hun, why don't you just take a seat?" She turned back to the wok and flipped it a few more times before removing it from the stove. She didn't know if other magical families cooked like this. But she had always been one too do things the muggle way. That was part of the reason she was the Muggle Studies Professor, she was sure. At Austiin's place, everything was done using magic. She had no idea how Austiin ever burnt their old place down, considering that they do everything using magic. It was kind of silly. Abby dished the Fried Rice into two bowls and walked them into the dining room. Jasper liked to eat on the couch, but Abby had never allowed that. Not even Emily and Nathaniel got to do that. She was never allowed to do it as a child, so why would she allow her children to do it. Besides, they always spilled and she would have this massive mess to clean up.
Abby placed the bowls on the table and called Jasper in. She sat at the table and crossed her legs, bringing the chopsticks up to her mouth. She kept peeking at Jasper every now and then to gage his mood. He seemed to be in a rather good mood, which was not surprising. He had been in a perpetual good mood lately, which was just fine with her. The better his mood, the more willing he was to conversate. Abby, placed her chopsticks on the table and looked up at Jasper waiting for him to do the same. If he hadn't suspected something was up before, he definitely would figure it out now. Once she was sure she had his attention, she cleared her throat and began. "Jas, I know you are probably not going to like this, but you have to promise to hear me out. Okay?" Abby asked as she looked him in the eye. She was going to talk about this whether he wanted to or not. "Okay, so I have been thinking on this for a while. And you remember I told you when we first met, that I wanted a really big family. And I'm fine with only having he twins. I love them, but... I really want to have another baby." She bit her lip as she said it. Physically she was still fit enough to have a baby. She was only thirty one after all. Mentally and Financially they were well endowed enough to support another child and she was sure that the twins would like having a little baby around the house. Abby was determined that she would take more of a hands on approach with this child as well. She still regretted that she had not been around much for the twins and she really did feel bad about it. She had always told herself that she would be a better mother then her mother and now look at what had happened. "Come on Jas, please say something." She asked as she twirled her fingers around the chopsticks on the table.
