He didn't know her very well, but Eli did at least know who Winnie was given they had several classes together. He was also roommates with Vikram, who seemed to spend a bit of time with the Slytherin, so he knew what house she was in, and he knew he could probably find her down here in the Dungeons. Once he spotted her, he held the rose out to her with the note. "Hey Winnie, I have a rose and a note for you."

Winnie had to go get her roses to do her deliveries. She was stopped almost as soon as she got out of the common room with someone who had a rose and a note for her. "Oh thank you," she said, making sure to sound grateful. The rose note made her smile a lot, pleased that at least one professor had noticed her hard work. That was excellent. "Thank you," she repeated though this time far more genuinely.

Eli nodded and smiled lightly at the girl as she seemed to be happy about the rose. Well at least it wasn't a mean one, because he would not be happy with that. "I'm glad you like it, happy Valentine's Day!" He didn't really see the need to hang around, busy as he was, so he waved the girl off and then headed to his next delivery.​
