It had been a very long year. A very long year indeed for Kiara. First she had to deal with trying to buy her current apartment from her parents. Then she had to focus on trying to get herself established. Then it was dealing with Athena's apparent lack of wanting to have anything to do with her anymore and then, finally, it was dealing with Justin's psychotic cousin Hazel inviting herself into their home and taking up residence on their couch. Talk about stressful year! She looked around her as she stepped into the library and finally found what she was looking for. A good hiding place. She vaulted over a stack of books as she saw, over her shoulder, that Hazel had made her way into the library. She had thought she'd have had more time to hide, but behind this book case was just going to have too do. She had to stop herself from sneezing as she squeezed herself through the shelf and look out at Hazel. Justin would join her soon and the the fun would begin. They had been working on this for weeks and it was only the addition of Justin that actually helped make this happen.

The initial plan had definitely taken some time to come to fruition. Both Justin and Kiara had taken special care to make sure this didn't fail. They needed their living room back, apart from the fact that Kiara had a showing in less then a week from in her own studio, she just wanted to be able to come home and not see Hazel folded up on the couch eating ice-cream. She was still trying to figure out, how she had not gained like a thousand kilos. Seriously, she'd eat more then Kiara would in a week and Kiara still put on three kilos since the end of last year. It was just so not fair. She rolled her eyes and settled in for the long haul. She didn't know how long she was going to be here, despite the fact she didn't want too be here for too long, she needed to get back to the apartment at some point, but she had sent off the letter to Samual, she was going to make sure that she was here when he got here. She didn't want to miss this. "How did you get her here?" She asked as Justin made his way, discreetly, over to her. She had thought Hazel would never leave the apartment.

Justin had himself set. He could not wipe the smile off his face, because this was going to be a good day indeed. The blonde had just finished getting some goodies, in the name of some good old muggle food. Lollies, lollies, lollies everywhere. He could stuff all that in his jacket and the librarians would never notice. He waited back as he saw Hazel hurry herself into the library, probably concerned and astounded at the fact that Andy was there. Except he wasn't. Andy was so insufferable, but he was useful for one thing. Getting Hazel the Hell out of Justin and Kiara's house and giving them some freedom for her constant sulking and lurking around. One of the greatest things about graduating was that he could go off and live with Kiara and live their own lives. Then Hazel moved in because she finally realised that that Samual Kaster boy was a total freak. Justin was happy to never have that guy in his family, but now he wanted that little Tarzan wannabe back in his life so he could swoop in in all of his flamboyant glory and drag Hazel by the hair out of Justin's life and give him some peace.

He entered and looked for Kiara quickly, and saw her butt sticking out from the bookshelves. He rolled his eyes and moved to her, giving her a small smile. "I pretended to be Andy. Said I was here to see her, that I was scared, blah blah blah. I think I saw Tarzan earlier. Hopefully he'll get here soon." He moved beside her, and dumped lollies onto the bookshelves and pushed some books behind them to shield the food from Hazel. ''I brought goodies. Let's see what happens and hope they work. If not, we are going to have to move and leave Hazel behind."

Hazel Maye Hydran was in a rush. She had just come from work, having left five minutes earlier at a letter from Andy. She wasn't sure what was wrong, but she knew something was. He had written her a letter for a start and he was scared and in this library. But why this library? There were many places he could be that were much better for him and none of them had crowds or books or dust or those other things. She shook her head and stepped into the library. Her hair was in a loose bun on top of her head. She had to look neat and presentable at all times for her work. She walked through the library corridors until she reached the place described. As she looked around, she couldn't see Andy anywhere. She wondered where he might be and decided that sitting at the table provided would be a good idea, at least until Andy came out of his hiding place. She sighed and slumped into her chair looking down at the letter. She had to wonder why she was even bothering with all of this. She should just stay in France with her cousin. She knew that he didn't want her around and neither did Kiara, but she had no where else to go. They were going to have to put up with it, with her and with everything!

Samual Pace Kaster was happy to be out of the house and going to meet a friend. He had no idea that Kate was in town, and he was so grateful that she had come and sent him a letter in advance. He was still feeling down about what happened with Hazel, since his own family were not helpful in the slightest. They just made everything worse when they tried to explain to him that he could do better than Hazel. They were just saying that because they were family. Hazel was his better. How could he do better than her? Even if she did tear his heart out of his chest and threw it on the floor, he still loved her. Sammy shook his head. He could not think about that right now. He had to meet Kate and let her tell him all the amazing things she was doing, while he was doing nothing but wallowing in despair. He knew that her stories would make him feel better.Kate always made him feel better, and maybe he could ask her how Stefan and Star and Sara all were. He really missed Star.

Samual looked at the library, and entered with a small smile on his face.He couldn't wait to see Kate, he could barely contain his excitement. However, as he turned a corner, he nearly died. Hazel was sitting right there, at a table by herself, looking incredible. Samual slammed himself against the bookcase - a little too roughly. Merlin only knew why the bookcase wasn't more stable, but all Sammy could do while the bookcase fell - taking other bookcases with it - was stare with his mouth wide. Was he going to be thrown out now? Samual had never been in trouble his entire life, and now he was going to be thrown out of a library. And he stilled needed to see Kate, and now Hazel was sure to have noticed him. This wasn't a fantabulous day. "My bad..." How much was this going to cost?

Hazel was getting more then a little worried. For Andy to have sent her a letter there had to be something really wrong, but then again, he didn't like owls, so sending her a letter was really weird. Even though Hazel was quite busy, she couldn't leave, she wouldn't leave even if she could. She would stay here until she absolutely had to leave. In case Andy did show up, Hazel had to be here to talk. She didn't know what was going on, but she was determined that she would find out, especially given the fact that she had not seen him since graduation which was very rare for her, usually she liked to see him whenever she could, because she wasn't always satisfied with the way he was looking after himself. Settling herself into the chair properly, Hazel started to play with the necklace she always wore now. The necklace held the rings that Samual had proposed to her with. She had picked them up after graduation and hadn't yet managed to give them back. Truthfully, she liked wearing them, it helped her remember what she had done and if she could go back, she would probably have done things differently to be honest, but that wasn't going to happen. Sammy was like a million miles away doing god knows what, god knows where. Suddenly Hazel jumped around because bookcases were falling down all over the place. Hazel was completely at a loss for what had happened and fanned the dust out of her face.

Soon however, she realised what had happened when she noticed a very guilty looking Samual standing over a fallen bookshelf that appeared to be the one to have started the chain reaction. Immediately the librarian rushed over and made a fuss about damages to property and what not and it was clear to Hazel that either this woman was a squib or was just really untalented with magic. With a wave of her wand, all the bookcases righted themselves and the books repacked. Hazel had never quite mastered wandless magic. Wordless was easy. Wandless, not so much. The librarian gave her a conspiritory look as she rushed off in another direction presumably to tell off someone else. Hazel was stuck looking at Samual and she honestly didn't know where she was supposed to go from here, but she was pretty sure, she knew what was happening now. Andy had obviously not sent her that letter, she really should have known. Somehow she had a strange feeling that her deranged cousin had something to do with this. Even though he and Kiara had been so "kind" as to let her stay with them, she knew she was a nuisance, though she had to wonder how this was going to help. She gestured to the table. "Come and join me. I really think we have things to talk about."

Samual's inner gut feeling told him to apparate away when Hazel spotted him. He did not want to see her. She had ripped his heart out of his chest and threw it on the ground, not to mention say loud and clear that she wanted a career - why she couldn't have that with him he wasn't sure, but that was her decision and he was in no position to help with those positions. Never mind the fact that he was under the impression that they had loved each other, and that they would be married and living happily ever after right now. Never mind the fact that he spent an entire year as a wallowing mess without her. Never mind the fact that he was still in a low place and only the thought of seeing Star had him leave the house. Never mind the fact that Hazel looked incredible while he was still a mess. Damn her. And her fantabulous hair. And her beautiful smile that lit up the room as soon as he saw it. Her soothing, really intelligent voice that instantly managed to calm him. She reminded him of flowers with her smell, and it made him smile. She still had his rings, that was a sign, right? Even if he really did not want to. Before he could even think about what he was saying, his mouth opened. "I missed you."

Sammy's eyes widened and he slammed his hand against his mouth, his eyes wide. That was it, he had already blown it. Good job. "I-I mean... forget it..." he whispered, before attempted to pick up what little pride he had left and attempt his escape. He wanted to go home right now.

Hazel closed her eyes when Samual blurted that he missed her. She had missed him too, but she hadn't been going to tell him that. She knew that she wouldn't be happy until they were able to talk all of this out. So she knew that this would be a good time to start. Hazel stood up when she realised that Samual was thinking of ways to leave. She reached out toward him, but thought better of it and just gestured to the chair again. She could see the hurt in his eyes and the discomfort he must surely be feeling over what had happened after Graduation. Hazel did feel bad about all of that, but at the time she just couldn't bring herself to say yes. "Sam. Please." They needed to talk about this. Hazel was willing to give all of this another go if he was but she needed to know that they were on the same page. She placed the rings on the middle of the table, sitting between them. That way, hopefully it would keep them on track. She needed a segway, somewhere to start, but she couldn't think of anything. She hadn't seen him since Graduation.

Hazel sat back in her chair and folded her arms atop the table. When Samual joined her, if he joined her, then they could speak properly. He needed to relax, but she felt like she didn't even know him anymore and she felt like he still blamed her for everything, which should only partly be her fault. She just wasn't ready and she would have hoped that Samual would have seen that, but apparently they had misjudged themselves. "Are you going to avoid me for the rest of our lives?" Hazel asked, turning to look over her shoulder at the person she still loved. Maybe, if they could work through this, they could try again, but it would depend on how things went here, as to whether or not that would work.

Samual kept his hand to his mouth as he found that he had no pride left to gather, and might as well just evaporate into nothing right where he stood. He didn't want to talk this out, he was fine with just moving countries. Jack would be going on tour soon, Sammy was sure he could just tag along. If little Benjamin could, Samual was positive he could. He looked at the chair offered to him after she stood up. With his shoulders slouched, the brunette slowly moved into the chair, especially after she spoke. He crossed his legs nervously and rested his arms stiffly in his lap, only wasting a glance on the rings in the centre of the table. Maybe there was something wrong with him? Because there wasn't anything wrong with her, except her apparent inability to want to spend the rest of her life with him. But really, that was about it. He shrunk back when she (probably inadvertently) verbalised the very plan he had been plotting since graduation. Well, there went that idea. With a shyness to his voice, he responded. "It may have crossed my mind at some point." He avoided eye-contact, and traced circles on his knee-cap. "But you've caught onto me... so there goes that idea," he added, his green eyes slowly looking up to meet her gaze. He had just tried a very sore attempt at humour, but it was something, right?

His eyes fell back to the rings, and he really looked at them. They looked well kept. Very well kept. He would have thought that she'd have sent them back, or otherwise disposed of them, but not kept them. He hadn't expected that. After staring at them for a moment, he sighed. "I was stupid," he confessed, still looking at them. And, while he had intended to finish his rather negative thought, the alien-feeling that occurred within him at verbalising something so sad made him pause for a moment, and start again. "How are you?"

Hazel wasn't sure whether she should smile or sigh. Samual planned on avoiding her and whilst she couldn't blame him, she was kind of angry about it too. What had he really expected? It had all been so sudden, she hadn't had time to think. He had just come out and blurted it. She hadn't seen him for the whole year and then he comes out with that? Was he really expecting her to say yes? Should she have said yes? Hazel was positive that she made the right decision at the time even confident of the fact that if they went back and did it again, she would give the same answer, even with knowing the future it would cause. To be honest, Hazel had never even thought about marrying Samual, it had been some distant future she had never thought about. The fact they were just Graduating had a big impact on that she was sure, but still, the significance of the ordeal was other worldly. "Trying to decide whether I should be offended by that or not." She said in response, reaching around her neck to pull off her scarf.

Hazel sighed and moved her hand towards the rings again, sliding the one she owned towards herself and picked it up, twirling it around her finger. It was too big for her finger, only slightly, but she would not feel comfortable wearing it like that, it would slide off. She kind of thought it was funny really. In the movies the ring was always exactly the right size, every time and they always had such a beautiful proposal. Not for them. Not for her and Samual. For them things were real, they lived in reality; where rings were too big, proposals too bold and romances withdrawn. If Hazel hadn't known any better, she might have thought that the universe was against her, of course that couldn't be possible, because she wasn't important enough in the grand scheme of things. Samual said he was stupid, Hazel agreed. "Yes. You were." However, she couldn't let it rest there. "We both were, in the end." Hazel truly wanted to patch things up with Samual, but she wasn't sure how. "I've been okay, i guess. No worse for wear really. You?"
