Open after Kris replies with Raafe

Anisha was pretty pleased with the costumes she and Raafe were wearing. It had been Raafe's idea, and she had been happy to go along with him for once. It was just silly and fun, just the way Halloween was supposed to be. She grinned at her cousin as they entered the great hall, nudging him. "Oops, I think we forgot to wear a costume." She joked, as if they normally had big bushy mustaches on their faces.

Raafe was pleased Anisha had agreed to something a little more low key for Halloween, aware she did like to go all out with most stuff when it came to school. This was easier and more fun besides, and he returned her grin, stroking his mustache thoughtfully as they stepped into the hall. "Oh, was that what we were supposed to do, oops," he said gravely.

They'd agreed before coming downstairs that they could have a little fun with their matching 'costume' this year, already glancing around as he followed Anisha, eyes open for something to pester with their little double act. Indi looked busy but they could always bother her another time.

Dorian already wasn't a big fan of regular school feasts. The hall was loud with everyone and anyone having conversations across the tables and he always felt weird moving to sit with Ezra. Halloween was even worse, even more noise and everyone wearing masks and costumes.

Scowling, Dorian tried not to flinch as a flurry of bat wings went off over head. He'd just wanted to get something to eat, feeling out of place out of costume despite how ridiculous the idea was, and all he could seem to find at this table was sweets. He was about to move to try another table when he spotted Anisha, glancing quickly one way or the other and trying to decide if he could avoid her and her cousin without being too obvious that's what he was trying to do.

Leah was starting to really like Halloween. The costumes were fun and the snacks were even better, and who didn't like getting scared everyone once in a while? Her costume was a little silly but she liked the way it moved around her. She was taking in all the decorations and snacks and was practically skipping across the hall when she spotted Anisha and Raafe and rushed over. She couldn't pass up their costumes even if there wasn't much to them. "You two look great!" she gushed between her laughter. They looked ridiculous with the fake mustaches. Leah noticed another boy in their year looking a little shy so she waved at him. "Did you forget your costume?" she joked.

Anisha grinned at Leah's approach. She looked at her costume, taking a moment. “You’re… leaves?” She asked, trying to make sure she saw it correctly. She glanced at the boy Leah then spoke to, scowling as she saw who it was. Of course, Dorian Fitzwilliam didn’t wear a costume. “Oh, no, I think he’s just too mature and grown up to participate.” She said, clearly loud enough for him to hear. “Or he just hates fun.” She added with a shrug, glancing at him sideways to see if he heard her.

Raafe gave a small bow with a little flourish when Leah arrived to compliment their costumes, nodding when Anisha assessed her costume. "It... Leaves a good impression," he chimed in flatly. Leah and Anisha had turned their attention to someone else though and Raafe bit the inside of his cheek to see it was Dorian. He had to agree with Anisha that he was no fun, but he hoped it wouldn't turn into another awkward argument between him and his cousin. Maybe Dorian would take the hint and go away. "Not mature enough to have a mustache, though," he added, mostly to Anisha, raising his eyebrows and tweaking the end of his fake mustache.

Dorian flinched when Leah Thorne called out to him, aware his window to try and skulk away was well past now. He’d opened his mouth, about to comment about the pointlessness of dressing up at all when Anisha decided to beat him to it and he closed his mouth a click, bristling at how close he’d come to saying exactly what she’d said. Though he would have worded it a lot better. “Sorry, and what are you dressed as again?” He said hotly, motioning to Anisha and Raafe with a frown. “Excuse me if I don’t find stick a bunch of- Of leaves or a dead pygmypuff to my face fun,” he said, crossing his arms. Now would be a good time to walk away dramatically, if he could manage to get past Anisha without flinching.

Leah glanced at her costume and grinned. "You got it. It's a little silly but it's really fun to wear." she said did a little twirl to demonstrate. She laughed at Raafe's comment. "Well you two do seem very mature." she agreed. She frowned slightly as Dorian answered her. Why was he in such a bad mood? She crossed her arms and stared at him with a defiant tilt to her chin. "So you couldn't think of anything?" Leah asked with a hint of a smile.
