It had been exactly a year since Zahna's two brothers had moved back to Germany, and the four remaining siblings had decided to look out for each other. Her older sister Olathia was often home late, and clumsily climbing back to her room. She was of age. Since turning 17 had made a right mess of herself, or at least that's what Zahna told herself. Zahna secretly wished she was like her sister, but more and more these days things were getting between the only two daughters, and Zahna was begining to feel like she did the week her sister left for camp when they were children, and Zahna was left with just her brothers for company. Of course, her family was one that stuck together, however when your only other female relative lives across the ocean, it's hard to feel like a proper part of the group.
Zahna had buried her head futher into her studies, to try and give herself something to do. Her family wanted her to become what every one of her ansestors had been. A Death Eater. But Zahna wasn't so sure. She knew there was more to life than she ever let on to the others, and she often cried late at night to herself, sympathysing in her mind at how the rest of her family couldn't see the affect of their actions on everyone around them. Only Lado seemed to obey the rules, but even he was slipping further into the darkness.
With the open book on the table, she tried to concentrade again on her Care of Magical Creatures. Her instinct was to take Muggle Studies, and she'd wanted to learn more about how they acted, but the rest of her family had completely side-tracked the point, and banned her from taking it further than her second year. It was late, and when she heard a footstep, Zahna looked up around her. Her eyes slowly adjusting to the darkness in the common room, as she wondered if someone was there, or whether she was jsut seeing things.. again.
