Hades Lutrov the Second was now a third year, which meant that he had a lot more things to focus on this year, seeing as the OWLs were coming faster and faster. Not that he minded much of them anyway. Hades would have to get a good job eventually. Hades did not know what he wanted to do, but eventually, he will figure it out. Right now, he was working on good grades to prove his worth here in the school. He had his sister here, and she seemed to be doing fine and even in the house of noble Ravenclaw. He was stuck in a house that did not even seem right in its own terms. It was nearly horrible on how it was right now. Hades did have one other that he was investigating, someone that seemed to be as unique as him. Hades was weird and creepy, even now. His black hair was longer than his shoulder now, and he wore black face paint now to seem more like a rebel than before, however right now he was not wearing it at all. He had his black hair messed up, and he looked up at the corridor, his onyx eyes looking at the one that he had been following for the past three years. Hades took his glove and he adjusted on his hand, and he continued to follow Mylie into the library. It had taken him years and years to figure it out, what made her so unique that had him interested so much. She had a special ability called a Metamorphmagus. Hades had followed the fourth year into the Library, as that was where she was heading, and reason why, he did not know but he was going to figure it out. He thought that this place would be as good as any to bust her, but he did not really want to bust her as much as he wanted to tell her why he had been seeking her out so much, and what she was. He did not think that it should be hidden, as the ability could very well be useful.

Entering the library, Hades looked around seeing as his thoughts had managed to keep him unfocused long enough for him not to be able to find her. Again. Hades started to walk up and down the aisle of books, wondering how she managed to duck from him again. He did not think that she was able to turn invisible, but just change colors on her body. Then again, he was not entirely sure either, so he had to look up that ability again. Perhaps there was more than one freak in this school, seeing as he was one of them. The third year managed to see the fourth year, and without hesitation, he walked up to her, not following or creeping, but this time he was going to actually talk to her, and have her listen to his words. Hades can be a rather aggressive and forward male, especially with him coming into his more muscular and taller form, automatically making him taller than the girl that he had sought out. He did not have any sort of romantic feelings toward her, just she was intriguing to him. And he was drawn more or less by her nature. Hades noticed that she was sitting down at a table, but he did not see what she was doing. Instead, he stood by her table, folding his arms across his chest before murmured, "I know what you are, Thoreau." His five words were rather cutting like daggers, but held no aggressive tone to them. He was merely curious to what her reaction would be. Would she be horrified? Indifferent? Would she smirk and smart off to him? Or would she even be remotely impressed with how he figured it out. It was being well hidden, which was why it had taken him ages to find out. Hades wondered if she was Part-Veela too, but he doubted that. Could a Metamorphmagus be a Part-Veela? Well, it was possible, seeing as one was blood, and the other was an ability that cannot be learned like Parseltongue. Hades looked down at the fourth year with masked eyes and a vague, cold expression that told absolutely nothing about what he thought of finding out what she was.

Mylie was feeling like she was on edge today. It did not take much for her mood to suddenly change. This made her Metamorphmagus ability a very difficult thing to keep under control too. When her mood was unstable she ended up changing left and right without realizing what she was going. Mylie would often switch eye and hair color to match her mood if she was not paying attention and her emotions got the best of her. Mylie would sometimes change herself on will but it was not that often. Mylie figured that no matter whom or what she changed herself into; she would still be Mylie Thoreau. The anti-social Hufflepuff teenager that had something different about her that likely few people in this world ever would understand. It did not matter. It would never matter because looks were only looks. It obviously did not make her personality any better than it was. It did not impress her step-father Gregory. He disliked what she could do. He stated that it was unnatural. Even for a witch. Mylie knew her real father must have hated it too. Why else would he abandon Mylie and never seek contact with her for years and years. Mylie knew she was a freak. Mylie had come to accept that a long time ago. Being a Metamorphmagus should be an honor. But Mylie saw it was a curse. It was a curse that the other students must never know about until she was ready for them all to know. Right now was not that time. Mylie tried her best to fight against the accusations occasionally pointed at her. It was easy to lie and say that she had no idea what they were speaking of. If they tried to say something like her eye color changed she often blamed it on the lighting of the room or something. The other kids at Hogwarts were so easy to fool. That was good in Mylie's case though because otherwise her ability to change herself would have been discovered years ago. Still there were some that seemed to know what and who she was regardless of what Mylie tried to tell them. Loud rumbles of chatter filtered through Mylie's small ears. Classes had just been dismissed. They seemed to be having a hard time realizing how stupid they were acting within the hallways too. Mylie had to try with all her might not to start pushing the kids out of her way. She was headed to the library right now. A stack of old potion and charm books were tucked under her arm. They were dusty enough to the point where she could smell the old rustic smell of them from down where she was holding them. At the library Mylie ducked into a secluded corner and released her books atop the old table. Mylie sat down and started to prepare herself for a long and vigorous study session.

'I know what you are, Thoreau.' Greeted Mylie as she bent down to retrieve a quill from her knapsack. Cocoa-brown eyes lifted from the quill and roamed themselves up the figure. It was Hades Lutrov II. The annoying boy that had been in out of Mylie's hair the past couple of years or so. He was not too bad but he did have the habit of bothering Mylie. Especially about her Metamorphmagus that he was trying so hard to figure out. Mylie did not want him to know though. "You must not know how to give up. Really? Enlighten me then. What am I?" Mylie crossed her arms over her chest and let the quill lay to rest atop the table. This should be interesting. It has been some time since Mylie had heard someone be this bold to her.

Hades most certainly felt clever, but he had never known any Hufflepuff besides himself that wanted to be alone. Some of the people that he had hated around here, he would love to transfer schools but the only one that rather wanted him here was none other than his adopted sister, but even now she was hanging around that Slytherin kid more and more. And he had been taking up all his free time learning about becoming an Animagus, and as it turned out, it was a lot harder than he had thought. But it was a real honor in the family, because he would be the first one, born into the Zhefarovich family, to learn how to become one. Now he was looking at a Metamorphmagus, one in the flesh. There was one wed into the family, but he did not know that one. He looked at Mylie dead in the eye, as he uttered, "I never give up on anything." It was a clear statement, before he too crossed his arms over his chest, thinking that she had no reason to think that this ability made her any different than someone that had pure-blood running in their veins. Hades had always been bold, but now that he had known her secret, he did not know what he would be doing with her. It was almost like he was losing interest. Hades wondered if there would be anything else to uncover after he revealed what he knew. Which he was hesitating a bit on right now. He was studying her expressions. Hades looked her up and down, not in any way that would be known as something not too horrible, but he was merely attempting to read her. He did not know how she was thinking right now, but with a flick of his neck, moved his long black hair from his face. His onyx eyes were close to piercing through the very soul of others.

"Metamorphmagus," said the darker boy with a cold tone, but there was no indication on his face on what he was thinking about that ordeal. Hades did not bother sitting, because he predicted that if he did, she would merely get up and walk away. He did not want to look like the one that was left behind, the one that was trying to gain a girl's attention, something that he was not even interested in doing. He had been merely intrigued with her offsetting attitude, and her ability. Otherwise, Hades had no interest in the opposite sex. Hades continued, "Now that the ability I researched on, you would not believe on how obvious it seemed, and how I should have known it earlier. However I doubt you'd care on how much trouble I went through, but the gift itself, favored and coveted, almost like Parseltongue without the touch of the Dark Wizard or Witch." Hades shrugged lightly, before he realized what all he was saying, quoting what his mind was thinking right then and there. Though he remembered his training, and she won't be the only one that could change their form on will. What he was doing would take a lot of skill and training before he would ever be able to transform, but he was going to work at it, mostly for himself. It was something he had been interested in ever since he had heard about it. Hades finally murmured, "Though you won't be the only one able to change form here soon enough." Hades went over to a nearby bookcase and he took a book from the shelf, one that was the color of ebony, and he flipped through the pages, thinking that other than a Metamorphmagus, him researching all that for one girl, she had been a royal pain. He did not know how his father went through it.

<COLOR color="#000">Mylie was stumped. She had no idea what to do or say on this situation because she wasn't wasn't used to having someone be so persistent to get to know her. Particularly someone this good at tracking her down. Of course there were a few people who wanted badly to be her friend. But Mylie was good at avoiding confrontation. Any excuse that could be made up to get them to leave her be was said or done. Mylie did not get along well with others. Mylie felt that she did not need any friends to help her get by in school. They were just a nuisance. Once they learned of her ability to change herself at will, they never treated her the same. To the world she was like a circus performer. Only there for their entertainment. Mylie let her eyes meet with Hades before they phased into a deep red for a brief second. It was like a beacon for trouble. Mylie was getting kind of upset that this Hades figure refused to leave her be. Everything had been tried by her. But he still continued his advances. ”Sometimes giving up is a good thing.” Mylie said softly. Was it too much to ask for? There had to be more interesting things in this school than who she was. There was nothing interesting about Mylie. At least nothing interesting enough to make it easy to be around her. Mylie was moody and quiet. The hat placed Mylie in Hufflepuff because it must have sensed something within her that she did not even sense herself. The desire for approval and love. Mylie was a hardworker too. Mylie felt like cheating was never the answer to any question or problem. That was the only explanation she could come up with for why she was placed in Hufflepuff. Mylie found it humorous that she could not see why Hades was in Hufflepuff either. He did not seem like the type to belong here at all. But there was not that much she knew about him. Mylie did not have the right to act like she knew him at all. Except that he was very determined to find out who she was. He had spent a few years now doing this. Mylie should just confront him and get it over with.

”Very good. You have figured out what I am. Feeling satisfied now?” Mylie did not like that he knew about her being a Metamorphmagus. He knew her deepest secret. Mylie did not like people she barely knew knowing this much about her. When a person knew your secret they controlled you. It was scary to let someone have that amount of control. Mylie turned her head to the side and stared into the wall. She did not think she could look at Hades right now. He knew what she was. He just had to keep on until he knew about her ability. Mylie could hear him talk about him going lengths to research it. But no matter how much he researched Mylie knew he would never understand the ability like she did. Not until he had to go through the same things she did. ”There is nothing favorable about it.” Mylie retorted harshly. Her eyes lighting up to a brighter tone of brown. He did not know of the hell this ability brought to her. Her step-father hated her for it. He thought witches were unnatural enough. But one who was even more special made him hate more. Not even her mother's comforting words could make Mylie feel better. Her real father did not care much for her either. If he had he would be there for her. No one was there for her to the extent that she needed. So until someone gave Mylie a reason to want a friend, she wold stay alone. ”What do you mean?” Mylie was ready to tell him know that he knew what she was, he could go. Mylie admitted that she was a Metamorphmagus to him so he should be feeling satisfied and quit bothering her right? There was nothing else for him to discover about her.

Hades simply did not know what the girl's problem was. She was this magnificent being, yet was acting like she was the object of everyone's amusement. He didn't know. Now that he knew what she was, so now he was curious as to why he would even stick around. There was nothing more to uncover. Hades brushed his black hair over his shoulders before he looked down at the other Hufflepuff. Hades looked back at the books that he was looking for. Hades was more in-tuned into what people were feeling and thinking than others thought. It had taken a while to considering that he had followed her around since he had first seen her. He was wondering if all Hufflepuffs were like this, other than himself. He was the only one in the family except for Patricia, but that was a joke. How could he ever expect to be someone that is well respected when he was sorted into a house like this? It was ludicrous, and it was the only reason why he was even bothering with seeing that jolly professor. Hades muttered, "Perhaps for you, it is." Hades figured that by now, she had given up all hope on herself to even think more of her ability than something more than a deformity. At least, that was what he was picking up on. Hades never would have thought that would have been the case if he had the ability. If he did, he would have been something more in the family. Aleyha had the gift of being a Parselmouth, and she was well respected for having that gift. Hell, she was a Death Eater now, something Hades was thinking of falling into once he left school but he didn't know. He just wanted to be like his dad and have his dad to be proud of him. Hades narrowed his eyes at her, when she asked if he was feeling satisfied. He was for the most part, but he was not about to tell her that. Perhaps he was, perhaps he wasn't. There was no telling, and he was going to keep this shroud of mystery around him like a blanket. No one would want to know who he was anyway. He was far too strange for the normal person, boy or girl alike, to mess with. He was very morbid, even in class and in his homework assignments.

"You'll never know if I'll be satisfied or not," stated Hades in a softer tone. Hades figured that it would all come down to this. He had no idea what he expected when he confronted her about it, but never would he had expected her to change into this either. As a Hufflepuff, perhaps even his own expectations of people were changed as well. Not all of them were this happy, jolly bunch. He thought that he had been alone, but he was not. "If it will make you feel more at ease, it isn't like I am going to tell anyone." There was a hint of sincerity to his words, which he believed them to be true. He was not going to tell anyone, considering that he didn't want to bother with talking to others. They were simply not worth his time and effort. Sometimes his persistence was parallel to his father's but other times, it was not. When she said that there was nothing favorable about it, Hades rolled his eyes, quite obviously as well. He intoned, "Allow one person to change your views on something so rare and admirable shows your true colors. Assuming only one, considering that I am sure I am the only one in the school that knows the great Mylie Thoreau's secret." He shrugged lightly. He didn't know what all was going on in Mylie's life, and was not sure if he wanted to either. The only thing he had known about her was the fact that she came to him in the forest, knowing that he was different. And once he noticed something different about her, she closed up and ran. To him, there was nothing wrong with being different. He was one of those that were highly unusual. The moment that she asked what he meant, Hades turned his looks over to her, before he smirked slightly. She was showing interest, either that or was humoring him. Hades shrugged, "I'd reveal to someone if was interested enough. Simply put, I'll be able to change forms as well soon enough. And I have a good reasoning for it. That's all. You'd probably want to be left alone now. Maybe I'll see you around." Hades was not going to leave the library. As he simply walked to a nearby section. He doubted that she would care enough to want to know, and not stomp over here to demand it out of him even if he secretly wanted her to. However his doubts in his mind where clear. If Mylie wanted to be left alone so bad, he would leave her be. After all, he found out what he wanted even if he was curious to see why she hated her ability so much. That could be too personal, so he figured, best stay away from it, or let her gain a friend to tell her life story to.

<COLOR color="#000">Mylie did not understand what his deal was. He follows her around then he plays this kind of game with her. He may not even realized that he was playing one. Mylie tried to see past the cool exterior of him. But Mylie was blind to what he was really thinking or feeling. She did not know him. It was not her right to judge him. But he did creep her out a little bit with how persistent he was in knowing what she was. "So I am going to assume that for you it is not? After all this time you still do not find the need to give up?" Mylie did not pretend to know what was so interesting about her. It might just been the ability she had that kept him interested in who she was. Mylie knew there was not much else to be interested in. So he was going to forget all about her. Mylie was not sure if that was a good or a bad thing though. Even if Mylie did not normally like attention from anyone, it felt sort of nice to have someone care enough to follow her around. Mylie did not think explaining to him how her ability worked would make him understand any easier either. He did not have to grow up living as a freak of nature. It was bad enough that the family had a muggle living with them so magic itself was almost a taboo. But when there was something even more different about Mylie it seemed like Gregory had even more of a reason to hate her and fear her. Mylie could remember the names he called. They were always so mean. Mylie hated hearing him speak. Nothing he ever said to her was kind or loving. He was barely ever a fatherly figure to Mylie. Her real father was barely one either. How was Mylie supposed to ever feel comfortable around men when the two figures who were supposed to guide and protect her couldn't even do that? Mylie did not expect Hades to understand what it was like. Maybe one day he would know. But not right now.

"Fine...be that way." Mylie rolled the cinnamon hued eyes. "You will not tell anyone? Do you swear to it? A few others know but they are relatives. I do not like people to know about my ability because they treat me badly for it. Either they hate me or they think it's some big circus act. It is repulsive. I would rather keep it a secret from the whole world than be treated like an animal." Mylie told Hades. Maybe then he would get it. On one side were the people who hated her for what she could do. They wanted to see Mylie fail. Then there were those that thought Mylie was like a circus act. There for their amusement. Mylie did not think he understood that part. But how could he? He did not seem to be on either side of it. He did not seem to care about what she was. If so then he was different. But one person did not mean it was safe for her to be herself in front of others yet. When Hades was about to go and leave Mylie alone without telling her what he meant by what he said earlier or if he was going to let her be by this point on. "Wait a second," Mylie called out after Hades and walked after him. He was not too far away so Mylie quickly was able to catch him. She could hope that he turned and would talk to her and not walk away.

Hades flourished his wand and he got a book off of the top shelf before he caught it and he flipped it open. He flicked through the pages absently, before he heard a voice call out, for him to wait. After all that, he found out her secret, and she believed that she was going to be caged like an animal, then she had her worlds mixed up. Mylie had managed to catch up with him because he didn't get far mainly because he was not about to leave the library. He didn't need to leave just yet. He looked up at Mylie with his onyx eyes before his eyes went back down to the pages. He mused, as he said to the slightly older girl, "Did it ever occur to you that perhaps this is normal in this world? Perhaps in the muggle world, you would be locked away in the cage, but as would be witch or wizard. Have you forgotten that if locked in a cage like an animal, that you possess the magic to 'unlock' the cage and free yourself? Doubt it will happen though, considering the fact, there are no known people that possess your gift locked away. Werewolves on the other hand..." Hades shrugged once, before he wondered if she would have a retort to that. "People are afraid of what is different, but more so when the different is contagious, which is why such as you are not feared, and those that can spread the disease are. Muggles are a different matter, which is why it is better to sever their close-mindedness and wipe them off the planet." Hades revealed a part of his darker self to the girl, and he did not even mind. He was morbid, and he was always like that. It could scare her off, yes, but it could bring her back in.

That was when he realized, what he had said, it had brought her back to him. Hades thought that because of this, he could draw people in, perhaps shape them into something that would be able to make a better world. It was big, but it was doable. He would have to work small first. Hades murmured, "Thought you should know that information." He turned his onyx eyes back to the book before he flipped through the pages some more, looking for something that he obviously could not find. What he never understood was there was always a 'they'. Who were 'they'? Surely no one of this school. She didn't tell anyone here as far as he was aware. So, that left the question, who told her all of the lies. Was it one, or was it many? Was there proof that she had that more than one person, magical, thought all of this. Hades severely doubted it. Hades did not look over at her, but he stood still, looking through the book of Transfiguration that he had picked. Hades finally inquired, "You followed me, so I am certain that you want to know something. Perhaps you feel I understand more than you know, or I possess something that peaks your curiosity. So, do tell me," he snapped the book closed and he looked at her with his cold eyes, "when you wish to be left alone, you come over to me when you found my persistence an annoyance and couldn't possibly want to know anything about me, why is it you follow?" Hades' expression was serious, non-threatening, but he was merely curious. He wondered if it was just that, the whole him being able to change forms peaked her curiosity, or something that he had within. He hoped that it was both, because then he could use the latter to his advantage. "Is it the changing forms thing that peaked your curiosity or something else?"

Mylie had not quite heard Hades talk this much. Not to her and not to anyone else either. Mylie kind of felt like this might be something he felt very strongly about. At least there was someone at this school who did not think she was a complete freak. Mylie felt less lonely that way. Even if she did not know why he would bother to talk to her about such matters. "Back in my first year, some kids made fun of me. I tried to make friends. They said I was fake. They also said they did not know if I was really who I was. Or if I changed myself to be like someone. My stepfather used to think I was a freak too. I try to embrace what I can do. But how am I supposed to know if this is who I really am? What if this is what I do not even really look like?! It does not help that I am not good around people. I get shy and when I get shy and I get cold. " Mylie had just spoken the most to Hades that she had ever spoken too. But that was because she did not understand why everyone else thought she was fake. One time a boy had called her boring too. Mylie thought he said that though because she did not talk and stuff. Mylie did not see the point in talking a lot to people she did not know. They did not care. Just like she did not care about their lives too much. Mylie looked down and shook her head. This boy did not care what she had to say. "Never mind. Ignore me. It does not matter." Mylie told him. There was no reason to pay attention to what she was saying. Mylie did not expect him to feel the same way she did. He was not here when she was made fun of. Mylie was young at the time. It did a lot of damage to her faith in people. Mylie still did not have any friends. It made her lonely. Mylie was afraid to talk to people and say what she wanted to say. She was worried that no one really wanted to listen. Even if they told her they did. Mylie wondered to herself if her ability to help her turn invisible. Mylie had never tried before she thought she might try one day. Being invisible would solve many problems for her. Mylie looked back up at the boy.

Mylie was not sure exactly what made her become interested in him. There was something about him that stuck out. His features were distinct and stood out from the crowd. Mylie thought she followed after him because she wanted to not be alone. But there was more to it then she thought. "Both." The fact that he said he could change forms did interest her. But there was more. Mylie would be lying if she tried to tell him that it was just because he could change forms too. Mylie looked away and cleared her throat. There was more. "I do not want to particularly be alone at the moment either." Mylie admitted in a soft voice. Had Mylie become weak? Now she needed someone to keep her company? Mylie thought that now she actually got to expressing herself, she wanted to keep doing this. Hades was the only person she knew who even tried to listen to her.

Hades looked over at Mylie before he listened to how some kids made fun of her because she tried to make friends and called her 'fake'. This was something that he had never dealt with. However he could probably help her out. When someone is using their gift, they are normally aware of what they are doing. If it works like that with Parselmouths, then maybe it would work like that with Metamorphmagi. Hades pointed out, "You should be aware of when you change your look. You look like you always do when I've been looking, even without you noticing. Even if you can change your look, you can't change who you are. You can't change your personality. Well, you can, over time, but don't for others sake. That would be a waste. You being shy, isn't something I had pictured." Hades shrugged before he wondered if that was why she was so cold toward him at times. She was just shy. The fact that Mylie was speaking this much was showing improvement, which meant something to him anyway. Hades looked down at the floor, before he looked over at her into her brown eyes. This was an interesting to the eerie lad. This was going to be accomplishment for him if she was going to come around him. Hades was merely curious. When she said to ignore her, it didn't matter, Hades shrugged. He ignored most people, but that was because none of them were as interesting enough to hold his attention for long.

"You say to ignore you, that it doesn't matter. That is the problem isn't it? No one is listening, and when one finally comes around... Let's just say, it is a miracle that someone is even getting me to listen. Surprises me to be honest with you. Just something about you. And it isn't your gift." Hades gave a light hearted shrug before he wondered if she would even want someone listening to her. At least someone like him, what others would call a 'freak'. Just because of how weird and eerie he was. If Mylie was going to be hanging around him, he would be a true friend and ally if needed, but others might not come over to her if he was around. The Hufflepuff that never should have been looked at Mylie once more, studying her as he awaited to see why she had followed him when she had told him, she wanted to be left alone. She had said what he wanted, and he shut the book that he was holding, and he held it to his side. This was good, he was drawing her in, and when she was drawn in, then perhaps he could do what he wanted. If he knew what that was. Right now he did not have a clue, but he would figure it out, once he had drawn her in enough, gained her trust, and claimed her admiration. Hades listened to what she had to say, which was somewhat different from what he had been hearing for the past several years. It was a change, but he managed to get through to her. Ever since he started his training and had less time to bother her. Hades felt the need to tilt her chin to look at him deep within his eyes, but he didn't do it. "If you don't want to be alone, then I won't leave you. But if you do, then I will." Hades set the book down before he turned to face her once more. "Want to go to the lounge? I think we can get some privacy there. If you really want to know my secret, then you'll say yes."

Mylie wondered if this boy had anything different about him. Did he have anything that made others afraid of him? Mylie did get that he was kind of creepy. But that was all him. If Mylie could eliminate what she was then she would have much long ago. Mylie wondered why it mattered so much to him if she appreciated what she was or not. It was not like he had to deal with her. Or that he was related to her. He was just some strange boy who seemed be interested in whatever it was she did. "Try telling that to the rest of the idiots that go to this school." Mylie said with a hint of annoyance to her words. "Shy...antisocial...you can all it whatever you want to. I just do not like people or interacting with them." Mylie would rather do anything that really interact with someone. Mylie's mother told her that she was just shy. Mylie did not like doing things in larger crowds or in a place where other people could see her. It made her feel like she was being judged and stuff. Mylie did not think Hades knew what it was like. He looked like he did not care what other people said to or about him. Mylie wished she had the ability to be like that. But she cared a lot. She always had.

Mylie looked down at the floor sighed. "I would rather be ignored than listened to, honestly. I do not know what makes me so interesting to you. I do not do anything differently than most people do." Mylie explained to Hades as she smooth back some of her hair. Mylie actually avoided being in the spotlight. Her biggest worry right now was that the idiots around her was going to get her pulled into the magazine. Mylie did not want to see her name mentioned in that thing ever again. The mentioning of the prefects was the only way she got her name in there. Everyone else mentioned in there deserved what they got. They were stupid for putting their business out in public like so. "Sure." Mylie responded about going to the lounge with him. It would be better than leaving her to her own thoughts.
