"Who knew my own flesh and blood would ignore my letter and - and -" Izzy sighed in frustration, not bothering to finish her sentence. She scoffed and scrunched up the letter her father sent to her. Or, to be more precise, the letter she spent so much time writing and getting it right, sent back to her. Her dad didn't even read the contents! She was so furious right now. She closed her eyes to calm down a bit, steadying her breathing, but to no avail. There was no way she could move on from it this time. Her dad hurt her, again. It was unforgivable. She knew he was adjusting to having a new wife and spending basically all of his time with her to make her feel welcome, but Isabelle just couldn't take it anymore. He even went so far as to send the envelope back. Did the Ravenclaw do something wrong? Did she say something in her letter she wasn't supposed to? Then again, how was she supposed to know if she did do anything wrong, considering her father probably never opened the envelope? It was truly horrifying and shocking to the poor girl.

She sighed yet again for the umpteenth time. She didn't think she'd ever get used to having a stepmother, especially if she was manipulating her dad - making him do this. It wasn't like Izzy hated that woman, of course she wasn't able to because she didn't know her yet, but she was disgusted by the idea of having to call her 'mum'. Specifically because she wasn't going to. Izzy sunk further back in her seat, suddenly feeling ashamed. She was so not meant to feel this way, not during exam time in any case. She looked at her notes scattered all over the table in front of her. She had been trying to study all morning, but she was too distracted. And she would've been done with revising by now had her father just kept the letter she sent to him. She really needed a friend right now. Too bad she didn't have any, the thought just made her feel even worse. So she sat and just stared at the rolls of parchment in front of her, debating on whether she should just leave the library and study later.

Zach was in serious library hibernation mode. The problem was, so was Levy and when she was like that not even Zach was allowed to study with her. He knew the girl was somewhere in the library the same as him but if he went anywhere near her or her book fort he would see angry Levy, as cute as that was he didn't want to risk it. Zach made his way into the library for another session, today would be dedicated to Potions. The Ravenclaw maneuvered around the tables looking for somewhere to sit when he noticed what looked like a first year sat on her own. The girl looked like she needed someone to talk to, well Zach had plenty of studying under his belt he figured he had time to be a friend.

The Ravenclaw boy took a seat at the table and placed his bag under the chair he was sat on. He wasn't sure how he was going to go about this but he knew he couldn't just walk past someone when they needed a friend, especially given that he recognized her as being a fellow Ravenclaw. "Hey there, you look like you need someone to talk to, or a sounding board whichever works better for you," Zach smiled at the girl wondered if she would be willing to open up to him.
