The blonde American was glad that she could go to Hogwarts New Zealand. Eventually she always got what she wanted if her parents did like it or not. Charlotte couldn't care she was just excited and saw this as a great new something. She wanted to prepare very well so decided to visit Brightstone where she could buy some stuff for her school. Her parents didn't want to let her go on her own so her mother went along with her to buy some stuff for school. For Charlotte this was all new, she was glad her mother was with her. But she wanted to explore a bit for herself too. Her mother went inside one store and Charlotte didn't feel of going with her so waited outside and looked around. It wasn't very pretty around here, but for the young blonde nothing was really good enough. Charlotte was excited to be on the same school as her brother did, she was wondering if he had build a reputation around here and if people knew him. She was soon gonna find out, she was planning on making a reputation on the school quickly.

Matthew was sorted into Hufflepuff and for Charlotte all of this houses were strange, but she had learned a bit from every house recently. Charlotte had no idea where she would end up, but it would be nice to be with her brother she guessed. It was getting more crowdy and her mother was still inside, and the blonde enjoyed the sun on her skin for a moment.

Looking down at her hands, she realised that ice cream had dribbled down the sides of one of her fingers, and quickly Leda wiped it down her khaki trousers. She had once again been dragged through the streets of Brightstone by Olive, and while her sister may have tried to convince her it was because they needed to sort out her new school supplies, the look on Olive's face when she found the Ice Cream Parlours owner told another story.

As the ten year old waited outside, her ice cream continuing to slide down and onto her hand under the heat of the sun, Leda squinted around, observing those who passed through licks of her lemon treat. Nearby there was a boy, face pressed up against the window of the broomstick shop, not much further from him was what appeared to be a haggard old woman, trying to sell of some small sweet to young passers by. To her right, Leda spotted another girl, blonde, looking a little older than her figure would have suggested. She seemed to just be standing, perhaps waiting for someone too.

The only person she knew that was magical had been her sister and their group of friends. Leda guessed it wouldn't be so much of a bad thing if she were to try and do the same. "Hey" She called out, taking a few steps in the direction of the blonde, her own curly red hair bouncing on her shoulders. Another drop of ice cream landing on her t-shirt as she approached, but alas she was oblivious. "What are you doing?" She asked curiously, hoping that she could find out if she were to be attending Hogwarts too.

Having been told it was winter in New Zealand Hermione had brought her a few coats with her, but so far they had not been needed. Clearly winter did not mean the same thing as it did back home. The air was crisp but still warm and more sun than could expected on a winter day back home. Hermione was enjoying her time in New Zealand so far, she didn't see her relatives often but soon she would be at school with them, seeing them everyday and Hermione couldn't be more excited. For now though she was on her own, at least being left alone to explore Brightstone village. The school could be seen from the village and it was a breathtaking site, and soon she would be living in that castle.

One day soon Hermione would be going to another little place to get her school supplies but for now, she was free to look where ever she wanted and had spent most of the morning in the joke shop. It was funny to see boys running around pointing fake wands at each other only for them to turn into chickens or something equally funny. Hermione had had to talk herself out of buying a whoopie cushion and stink pellets. There would be time for that later. She did no such thing in the sweet shop Honeydukes and now her pockets were weighed down by several bags of sweets but after a particularly nasty Brussels sprout flavoured every flavour bean she was taking a break while the taste wore off.

Having spent most of the day alone Hermione began to wonder if she should talk to some people her age to make friends before school started. There were plenty kids running around the village, no doubt a lot of them were preparing to start school in September. Her eyes fell on two girls, it looked like one had only just approached the other so they hadn't really started a conversation. It was either the best or the worst time to jump in. Hermione decided it was the former and made a beeline for the pair. "Hello," She called, perhaps more to the redhead than the blonde as she seemed the friendlier of the two. "Future Hogwarts students too?"
