The pale blue sky dimly lit the long narrow corridor through the towering glass windows, and a layer of dust settled neatly on a stone statue in the corner of the room as Rohan sat on the low windowsill and gazed outside. He was missing his family and muggle friends back at home, but there was definately much excitement to be had at Hogwarts. Having been put in Slytherin, and been fairly pleased with the outcome, Rohan hadn't had much to do for the past week or so. He was savouring the time where there were no lessons, though he had promised his family he'd attend them. How well he tried, though, had not been discussed. Rohan could always find the way to get out of things he didn't want to do, by coming up will silly excuses or simply using his annoying wit to outspeak people. He'd not made too many friends yet, but he was pleased about this, deciding he'd rather not make friends with the first people he met, just for the sake of being able to say he wasn't a loner. The truth was, he liked being alone, or in the company of someone very close to him, which was how he'd ended up in the fifth floor corridor. He gaze averted from the sky to the ground below. The students down there looked like ants, and he contemplated going higher in the castle just to see what it was like, but this corridor was deserted, and he was making the most of the time where nobody was around. It was strange, the place being so quiet, and he wondered if he was supposed to be somewhere, if everybody else knew something that he didn't. Literally shaking the thought out of his head, his floppy brown hair, which needed cutting, shook on his head, as though it was barely attatched. He'd had the choice before he'd gone to Hogwarts - Have his hair cut by his Mother, or wait until the next time a hairdresser had been available. Sensibly, Rohan had decided to wait, but now his fringe was hanging over his eyes and he was starting to feel frustrated.

Rohan's thoughts were interrupted by a young student appearing in the corridor. She'd made him jump, seeing as he'd thought he'd been alone. A little worried she'd seen him shaking his head around madly, but still remaining optimistic, he glanced over in her direction, throwing her a friendly smile. A lot of people avoided Rohan, with him being a Slytherin, and others could look straight past his house. He'd only been put there because he enjoyed getting into a bit of trouble, but he knew he'd have preferred Gryffindor. That was the house of the brave and adventurous. Still, he couldn't complain, as he wasn't put in Hufflepuff. He smirked at the thought, before looking back outside, noticing a few specks of rain hit the large window.

Something was off today for the young Hufflepuff girl. Usually so bright and happy, always smiling, typically skipping down the corridors,Cosette Mayfair was doing none of that. For the eternally happy girl, this was troubling, given that she couldn't recall the last time she had felt like this, if ever. She loved waving to strangers in the hallways and walking with a bounce in her step so that her dress flounced around her. But today she had no such desires. Her head was not up, instead aimed at the floor, her gaze fixated on her feet as she took each step. Her hands were clasped behind her back and if not for the uncharacteristic slump of her shoulders, Cosette might have looked like she was lost deep in thought. And that wasn't entirely off-base. As much as Cosette was one to stick with the rules, especially with being a Hufflepuff, today she simply did not feel like it. For one, it was just one of those days. Two, the corridors of Hogwarts seemed emptier than usual because of the cold weather and most of the students preferring to spend their days outdoors or back home. And finally, the girl had gotten to a point where staying cooped up in her dorm room reading or sketching in her drawing book didn't feel so nice anymore; it had become rather suffocating. So instead, Cosette was off to explore the castle. Roaming the empty corridors aimlessly, she wondered if it was a right decision for her not to go home during the short vacation. After all she heard their father wasn't coming home, as he was in Russia for some kind of meeting or such. Cosette felt sad and decided to stay without even asking her siblings permission. After all it was her life, her choices.

At time she always wondered why was she even sorted in Hufflepuff, she was kind indeed though once tested Cosette rage was just unbearable. Gryffindor or maybe a Ravenclaw could actually compliment her style, but what done is done. She started to stroke her curls resting on her shoulders, as if her hair has its life on it's own. Then Cosette noticed a boy seemingly same of her age along the corridor. As he smiled at her she smiled back shaking off her past mood. Sure, she wanted to gain new friends at the same time she enjoyed being along most of the time. Though she wasn't sure if it was a good idea to walk closer to the unnamed boy. So, Cosette decided to walk forward as if she was going somewhere. At this point she was still holding her sketchbook, her sharpened pencil inserted through the rings of the book.

Rohan couldn't help but notice that this girl looked very deep in thought, as though something was troubling her, but he couldn't decide what it could possibly be. She was walking straight past him, as he had expected, but this seemed like the perfect opportunity to get to know somebody his own age. He needed more friends at Hogwarts, the more the merrier. Rohan stood up, tucking his wand in his pocket as he quickly walked to keep up with her, before overtaking her and then walking backwards to face her, a big grin upon his face. He had a habit of making himself look like an idiot, but he didn't mind. Some people could accept his personality, and some couldn't, though Rohan hoped this girl would be able to see the nicer side of him. 'Hey', he said, pretending to be skillfully walking until he tripped on his own over-sized robe and stumbled backwards into several other students. Accepting their strange looks with a smile, Rohan started to walk next to her instead. His cheeks were burning hot though, and he couldn't work out why. He'd never blushed in front of a girl before. He messed around all the time, so what was different? He inwardly shrugged it off as they walked, and he was struggling to make conversation. It wasn't the same as talking to the other boys, mainly Slytherin ones. Girls were just... Different. But nothing could completely put Rohan off today, and he ruffled his fringe with his hand, hoping it looked good.

With no idea where they were heading, Rohan turned his head to look at this girl. She was extremely pretty, which was not something he would normally notice in somebody, and her eyes were very enticing. Pulling his gaze away from them, he looked ahead. 'Where are you off to then?' He asked her, a shimmer in his own eyes which appeared whenever he was up to something, which was almost all the time. His eyes got a fair few compliments, but he guessed not quite as many as this girl's. They were a strange golden colour, which he had never seen before, and they seemed to light up the room, and Rohan's face. He was beaming now, the glint in his eye brighter than ever.

Cosette wasn't sure at all where to go, as the weather was quickly changing. Though she knew very well she wasn't allowed to leave the school unless for emergencies. It's been a while since she appreciated the beauty of the walls, windows and paintings. As Cosette was always a nature freak, she loved outdoor more than the indoors. Back at home she'll be pretty much cooped inside her room, sketching as she would gaze at a tree outside their house. Of course there were hundreds of trees surrounding their mansion.Though at a times she felt empty as she didn't like to stare at all, she wanted to see for her self and touch thee trunk of the tree. Feeling the texture and smelling the smell of the leave even before sketching it. She was absolutely different form her sister Marianne, Cosette was awkward and different. Now, here she is walking aimlessly hoping something would happen, something interesting like always. Still twirling her curls while slowly walking, she wondered if it was a bad idea to simply pass by the boy she saw seconds earlier. The boy looked interesting at all, and after meeting some new friends who turned out to be a boy. Cosette seems to be comfortable around them, also she was always closer to her dear brother Armand.

Then something stuck her, she wanted to talk to the boy or maybe look at him once more just to make sure it wasn't a wrong decision to ignore him. As she was about to turn her back she noticed the boy was already in front of her. Looking a bit surprised Cosette, flashed a friendly smile at him. "Hey?" she answered him back still confused of what was going on. By this time there were now several students along the corridor. "Oh Dear Are you alright!?" she gushed out while looking worried at the boy. Cosette adored the boy's charisma as well as his courage, she could never embarrass herself in front of anyone...Never. Still walking, she noticed that the boy was still near her and no fractured bones. She smiled as she tried to glance at the boy hoping that he didn't caught her looking at him. Cosette couldn't hide the fact that the boy was indeed somehow irrepressible to her eyes. "Somewhere, Anywhere.. I have no idea really." she told him followed by a gentle giggle. Cosette could feel her cheeks burn, still she controlled her inner feeling and ignore them for a while. Then she simply just walk straight, turning to the corner right.
