Corey had just finished her last class for the day and was headed to the grounds to start her homework. She was basically done when she saw a group she really didn't want to see. It was a group of the popular kids that loved to pick on her and Corey wasn't sure how much more she could handle before she lost her self-control. She tried to ignore them at first, but then she could just barley read what they were saying, "I know she's patetic, I mean look at her she can't even her us talking about her." Then they broke out into laughter.

"I can here you." Corey said setting her book down and brushing herself off. "And I really don't appreciate the way you are always talking about me." Corey was glaring dagers and could feel her body temp. rising. "Yeah well what are you gonna do about..." Was all the girl got out before Corey shot out a punch. Even she could hear the crack and she smiled wide. Blood was running down the girls face and she was crying. Corey watched as the group walked away but the girl looked back for just a second to say. "Your gonna reget this loser." And run away. Corey just laughed like the girl could really do anything to her besides tell and corey could survive detention.

Bree watched the scene from afar. A girl punching someone else. She ran over quickly, but by then the group of the girl that had been punched had left. She had gotten a glimpse of the girl, though. She went over to the person still there. "Hi there," she said, sitting down next to the girl. "I'm very familiar with that girl, she deserved it. Thinks she's all that." She remembered being teased by that girl and her group just for not being the girly person that freaks out about breaking a nail.

Bree put out her hand for the girl to shake. "I'm Bree Devine," she said, smiling in a friendly way. She had been in a good mood. And seeing the bully get punched had made her day even better.

Corey was making sure she hadn't done any damage to her had and thinking about how impressed her Karate teacher would have been when she saw a girl walk up to her. Corey smiled as the girl sat down and iterduced herself as Bree Devine. Corey had never heard of the girl (no pun intended.) But she seemed nice enough and as some wise person once said the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

"Hi Bree, I'm Corey. Corey Lovre." She smiled again and shook the girls hand. "And your right she had it coming I'm just glad I was the one how got to do it." Corey didn't know why she was being so friendly, but there was something about this girl that told her that she was alright. So She figured there was nothing wrong with trying to make a friend while she was at it.

Bree shook the girl's hand. "It's nice to meet you, Corey," she said. "Glad someone actually had the sense to punch her. I felt like I was the only one. I've punched her once, in my first year here. But then she ran off to the teacher saying I punched her for no reason. But telling the truth got me out of getting detention. Just a tip, she'll probably do the same for you. Saying she was just standing there and you punched her."

Bree smiled. It was odd for her to be this friendly to someone. But there was something about this girl that made her act friendly. Whether it was that the girl was an enemy of her enemy or something else, she didn't know.

Corey smirked, she was going to get along with Bree well. "Wow, that's great. I thought she was nicer to everyone else. I don't really generally talk to people." Corey was really shy, she was afraid that people wouldn't like her because she was def. But she knew that Bree wasn't the kind of person to make fun of her because of it, but with a stranger how could she tell. "Thanks for the tip, I'm sure that if you did it the teachers will believe me."

Corey smiled, she was actually making a friend at school, granted her sisters friends were always nice to her, but it just wasn't the same as having real friends. She was thinking that maybe just maybe if she was lucky, she and Bree could be good friends.

((Sorry for the quality of the post... thunder outside, had to rush to get off.))

Bree nodded. "Yeah, I know... she made me feel like everyone else was just better than me by such a large amount and that I was stupid," she said. "And trust me, you don't want to make me feel like that." She nodded for the second time. "The teachers can tell if you're lying. Even if other people don't think so."

Corey smiled. She was glad that Bree was being so nice to her, no one else at school ever had. She just hoped that things stayed like that. "Yeah I know none of the kids here believed I was def until the teachers confirmed it."

Corey couldn't believe she had just openly talked about her disability, but the girl probably knew anyways. But it was still weird to talk about it with a person she had just met.

((its ok :) ))

Bree nodded. "Some people here are like that," she said. "They don't believe anything anyone says. You know, they just wait for a teacher to tell them that its wrong to be mean. They don't believe... or rather, listen when a student tells them." She sighed. She wished she hadn't gone to Beauxbatons. Maybe people would have been nicer at Hogwarts New Zealand.

If only her step-mother hadn't been so mean. As much as she hated to say it, Bree felt sort of like Cinderella. Miserable because of her step-mother. Her father wasn't dead, but he seemed to be brainwashed. He didn't realize how upset she was. She stared at the ground. After a few moments, she looked up again. Why was she upset? She had a friend. She had been friends with Rue, but she had gone off to Durmstrang. But Corey was a friend who didn't seem to be going anywhere. Suddenly, things didn't seem so bad for her.

Corey nodded, "School can be hard." But then again Corey had her screwed up family and that made everything okay. They were always there for her, and she could rely on them for anything. It made her feel like she was ready for anything. And she had to, because odds are she wouldn't be able to see it coming; or hear it for that matter.
