The other boy didn't seem to have anywhere to be, for after Gustav had spoken so harshly he had still stuck around. He even went so far as to ask his name, and despite himself he was taken aback by Henry's enthusiasm. Gustav had thought they were in the same grade for a moment, but looking closer he did not recognise his peer at all. Nevertheless, he reproached himself for being so rude since Henry hadn't meant any harm, and it was with caution that he replied "Gustav." He paused before adding "You're not a fifth year, are you ... ". It hadn't been a question since he assumed he already knew the answer, but it was polite to ask anyway.
Feeling Henry's eyes on him, Gustav slouched to the side slightly and folded his arms haughtily. "Can I help you at all?". Geez, some people just couldn't help themselves could they? Henry looked as if he was trying to hold back a laugh and Gustav smirked at him. What a strange person, he thought. Well, there was no one else to talk to out on the lawns so they might as well hang out while his lesson ended. Suddenly patrolling footsteps sounded in the hall behind them. "Sh!t," muttered Gustav, giving Henry a light push in the direction of the lawn. "I am not meant to be here. Come on!" Gripping his hand firmly, Gustav dragged them out of the Professor's line of sight just as they passed through the open door. Not point getting this boy in trouble, too. He ran a little way till they rounded a corner and stopped, pressing himself against the side of the building and releasing Henry's hand instantly. "My bad," said Gustav, going a little pink with embarrassment. It was now obvious that he was skipping a class.
