Theseas couldn't believe how lucky he was last night while he was fulfilling his part of last night's bet. Right after the feast, his twin brother challenged him into a race of who would get first to their new common room. At first it sounded like fun but when his brother told him of what he had to do in case he was the loser, he flinched. Having to throw a dungbomb at each professor's office was too daredevil for him, especially when he had to do it on his own. Theseas' intention to reject this challenge should have been pretty obvious because his twin brother found another way to convince him. As part of the challenge, Perseas was going to bet his broom in case he was going to lose. Now, this was a pretty smart move of his part as Theseas was a sucker of anything having to do with quidditch and having his brother's newest broom was something really tempting. This and the fact that he was faster than his twin brother, made Theseas in the end to accept the challenge.

While he could physically outrun his twin, it seemed he still couldn't outwit him. He should have suspected that his brother wouldn't put at stake his broom if he wasn't hundred percent sure he was going to be victorious. It turned out that Perseas had used a series of shortcuts on their way to seventh floor and in the end managed to get first at the common room. So after the meeting that occured there, Theseas left secretly the common room with a bag of dungbombs, given to him by his brother. It looked like the castle's residents were in bed by the time he started visiting office by office from floor to floor because no one realized his literally dirty work. When he was done with it, he returned back to the common room while stumbling at the stairs from tiredness. He colapsed on his bed, thankful for not being caught. Before falling asleep like a log, he mentally promised to himself to never again fall for another trick of his brother.

The next morning, Theseas was determined to stay away from his twin brother as much as possible. He wanted to explore his new home in his own terms so after visiting the great hall for breakfast, he began his own safer adventure. It was admirable how enormous that school was and how many rooms it afforded. He was intending to explore the dungeons when he remembered the lake they crossed last night with the boats. It was a sunny day. No better opportunity for venturing outside the castle. With his bag hanging over his shoulder, he made it by the pebbled lakeshore. The water while calm had so many differant hues of blue, reflecting the bright blue sky. Near the shore it was pale blue, nearly translucant, as it got deeper it changed from pale blue to deep deep dark blue. The trees on the far side were mirrored on the lake, with it being fall, the leaves were in full color, and as the lake rippled, they seemed to dance with a life of their own. Deciding to contribute in his own way to the disturbance of the surface's serenity, Theseas sat down on a rock and took out of his bag a piece of parchment. After folding it and unfolding it several times, he created a paper boat which he placed it into water. He blew it farther away and grabbed a handful of flat pebbles to start stone skipping on the calm water, in an attempt to sink it down.

Zara was ecstatic when she had woken up to discover a sunny day. She had been longing for an opportunity to get out of the castle and explore the grounds and this was her chance! She had quickly gotten herself sorted for the day before she dashed through the castle and tried to find her way outside. It took a little longer than expected as she was still finding her way around but she got there eventually. Upon finally reaching the fresh air she stopped and took a deep breath, allowing the air to fill up inside her. It was a beautiful day and she slowly began to amble around. It was just beautiful - everything about this place held some sort of magical feel to it. As she scanned the grounds her hazel eyes found the shimmering water of the lake and she began to head in that direction, thinking it would be nice to go for a closer inspection. As she drew nearer she noticed a figure by the lake and she stopped short, watching as the person created a paper boat and then pushed it out. She began to make her way over to the person, remembering that she had been sorted into Gryffindor which was meant to be 'the brave' house. As she got a bit closer she thought she recognised him from the house meeting and he looked to be about the same age as herself but she wasn't quite sure.
"That's an awesome boat" she commented as she was level with him, nodding her head in the direction that the boat was drifting in. "I'm Zara Larkins" she introduced herself with a smile, hoping it was okay that she had joined the boy next to the lake; she didn't want him to think she was intruding or anything.

Theseas groaned as the last pebble he tossed towards the paper boat skipped just above it. He leaned down to collect more pebbles before the paper boat had the time to drift away and escape. He was ready to aim and shoot again when she heard the voice of a girl right next to him. His hand dropped still holding the pebble and his attention shifted right on the girl. She looked familiar and perhaps he had seen her somewhere but he couldn't currently remember.
"Thanks." he replied and flipped the little pebble in the air before catching it back again.
"I could make a bigger one if I had a bigger piece of parchment with me." he added, feeling he had to defend the small stature of his creation.
"Unusual name but nice." he responded first. It was true, it was the first time hearing someone named Zara.
"Nice to meet you Zara, I'm Theseas." he introduced himself as well, just realizing that his name was going to sound as well unusual to her. A moment of silence creeped in as he tried to recall from where he knew her face. "Do you happen to be a Gryffindor?" he asked straightforwardly and sat down on a rock to test if the pebbles he had collected were flat enough to make it to the paper boat.
