Okay well first, if you're going to do a blend, you want to get the pictures as similar as possible. You're second picture is great. You're first though will be quite hard to use in a blend though, because the body goes over the frame; so when you try to put with the other you'll get a straight flat line down one side.
I can try to show you although to get rid of that line thing, you should layer it so the second picture is over the top of the first, then erase the part of the second photo you don't want to see.
Also because the first picture is a close up, the bricks (background) are a different size in each, which might look a bit strange. If they were more the same, you would be able to blur the second picture so it looks like the first, and smudge them in the middle.
Another tip, beware of shadows. if you blend two images together you might have to mirror one of them, so the shadows are going in the right direction (same way) and then you wont hae to try and merge something dark with something light
