After he saw Amy's name signed on the sign up list to tutor younger students, Dan had decided to do the same and be helpful, or rather more helpful than he already could be. To be completely fair his twin had begged him to do it too and so he had, for her. He didn't know any of the first years, his cousin being the exception. He hadn't made that big of an effort to try to get to know more people and see whoever could be his cousin's friend - of curse that had never been his job in the first place. With all of the additional responsibilities this year it was hard to find the time to check up on him as well as take note of who should be kept an eye on. It was easiest when Daniel patrolled at night, however during the day he was extremely busy studying for his OWL exams. Sighing, the boy placed his clean roll of parchment and quill next to him on the bench. It was a nice day today. Until Theo, his mentee, arrived Dan was to revise. Might as well use the time while he had some.
