Hey guys!

Ok, I kinda worked out how I make backgrounds transparent. But, how can I choose round an image inside an image...? Ok, that doesn't make sense. Right, say I created a new GIMP window and it had a transparent background. I then copied in an image (that I want to have a transparent background, but it's current background is white) and how do I lock just the image, so I don't have to zoom in to erase the white background? The 'Magic Wand' tool I use, but it only selects the whole window (the image and the square), how can I have it so it only selects the image I inserted?

Hope I made sense!

I use CS3 but maybe the steps would be similar. When I make transparent images,I opened a new window which is set to transparent already. And when I'm on my way to save it,I would not lock the image and save it as .png

Hope that would help!!

On GIMP its the same. When you open a new blank template set it as "transparent" instead of background and yeah, you have to save it and then export it as a png file :p
