Set the morning after this takes place.
It was only very early when Siani Rydderch woke up. She tended to wake in the early hours of the morning, though today she was slightly later than normal. Having insomnia because of your sisters unhealthy lifestyle made things extremely difficult for the young girl. She hated living with Elowen, but it was the Christmas break, so she didn't have much choice. She hated her sister and it was such a stupid idea. The things that she had to put up with were annoying. Shaking her head as she got out of bed, Siani yawned a little as she made her way into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of orange juice. She never ate breakfast, mostly because she was always too busy to do so. She'd had to get a job, but was as yet unlucky to find one. Truth be told, she had a couple of interviews today, but she wanted to get there early, despite none starting until ten. It was only just on five thirty now and so she slipped into the bathroom for a shower. She honestly wished that she could see more of Taliesin. She missed him and he was always so good to her. In fact, if he was here he probably would have gone to see how Elowen was already, but Siani just didn't care. She would have much rathered be at school. Elowen never wanted her help anyway. Siani rolled her eyes as she stepped into the shower. She hated her sister so much.

Siani stepped out of the shower. She'd been in there much longer than she thought and realised that it was now sun up. She rolled her eyes and walked into the kitchen, stopping dead in her tracks as she did so. Walking out the front door, was a man she did not know. He had to be older than her by like a million years. Was he in Elowen's room? Siani's mouth dropped and she squeaked in a most undignified fashion. The man in question simply turned to her, winked and then left. Siani immediately stopped down the hall and threw Elowen's door open. She didn't care to what state of dress she would find her sister, but she was mad and she needed to get her anger out. "What the f*ck, Elowen?!" She asked, as the door banged open. She threw her hands in the air and began pacing. "Who the hell do you think you are? You can't just bring old creeps home whenever you feel like it, satisfying your weird bloody obsession to degrade yourself however you can! You put me in danger when you do! What the hell?! I know we hate each other, but that man is old enough to be my grandfather, do you have any forethought in that complicated head of yours?!" Siani wasn't happy. She didn't care what Elowen was thinking, but this sort of behaviour was just not on. At all.

Elowen was not hung over for once while coming back from a weekend of drinking. It was nearly seven when she'd woken up, unaware of her sister hanging around outside. Patrick was late, and panicking as she helped him to gather his things, before sharing a kiss with him. The brunette man whom she'd spent the night with wouldn't say exactly where he was going, but as he left he reminded her that she would see him again, and then he called her beautiful. His wink was ignored by her already drifting brown eyes, and she shut her door tightly behind him as he left. Elowen swallowed thickly, finally turning her head toward the full length mirror in her room. She was still clothed in the dress she had been wearing last night, not wanting to take it off. For a moment her pale fingertips traced the line of her own hip covered in lace. It was too large, she was. She looked down to her legs which had a bruise on them, clearly visible against the white of her legs. Was it from banging it in the doorway coming in last night? She could remember laughing slightly but then shushing herself. Maybe it was from two weeks ago - or from just now. She never could remember why she bruised.

Beautiful

Elowen then moved to her closet, she needed to change, to change everything. This dress was no good, why did he approach her with this dress on? Elowen tore through her closet, trying on outfit after outfit. Shorts, pants, sweats. Nothing looked right as she pinched at herself in the mirror to try and suck into the jeans she put on. She felt hot tears burning in her eyes, and eventually all of the clothing from her closet was on the floor. It took less than a minute and a half for her to get done ripping through outfits and throwing them around the room. She was sitting down on her knees, crying in a summer dress when her sister Siani burst through the door. Elowen didn't even react to the yelling. She stared into her now empty closet, staring at the pictures of her and her family that were taped up to the back wall. She kept her face away from her and whispered. "He lied to me." To her sister. "He told me I was beautiful." She gave a dry laugh. "Now why would he say that. I hate that word. This wall is beautiful, it's filled with happy and smiles..." She stopped and wiped mascara stained tears from her cheeks and turned to look at her sister. "I w-wanna go out, do I look fat in this?"

To say that the thought of leaving her sister crying on the bedroom floor didn't cross her mind, would've made Siani a liar. Not that she wasn't already, but even though she despised everything that her sister was and what she made her do, Siani could never bring herself to push her sister spiralling further. She supposed it was not Elowen's fault that all of this had happened to her. It stemmed from her need to strive for perfection. She was way smarter than she seemed and tended to push herself to extremes, but that didn't mean that Siani couldn't be a little cruel. Elowen kept talking about how this guy had lied to her by calling her beautiful and Siani had to wonder how anyone could have a self-esteem issue like Elowen. "Well, duh! Elowen! He's like fifty times your age! You don't think he's going to call you f**king butt ugly do you?!" Bringing men home was one thing when Siani was at school, but Elowen was putting her in danger with all of this and Siani just wasn't prepared to tolerate it. "You need to control your compulsions you whacko." She wasn't being very pleasant, but this was exactly what she thought her sister deserved.

Soon Elowen was asking if her dress made her look fat and as much as Siani wanted to tell her that yes it did make her look fat and not just fat, a whale, she bit her tongue and rolled her eyes instead before walking around her and grabbing a jacket from her closet. "If you're so worried about it, wear a friggen jacket. Really, it's not going to cause you anymore damage than what you do to yourself on a daily basis." Elowen was such a freak sometimes.

Elowen's eyes dulled as her sister spoke to her. Crazy, whacko - sick. She shook from the strength it took to hold back her sobs and cries of pain. Her mind was nearly splitting apart. She grabbed the jacket from her sister, still quiet. Siani was right, of course the man would lie to her. He just wanted to use her. No - he'd said they'd see each other again, this wasn't just a fling. Perhaps he'd liked her smile, what little of it was meaningful. Perhaps her nose had crinkled the way it used to when she'd smile. Swallowing rather thickly the blonde slipped the jacket on, but it felt wrong against her skin. She burned and felt her heart aching in her chest. She looked over her sister's thin features, her composure - the way even when she was nasty she looked like an angel.

"You look pretty." She told her sister before taking her jacket off. she slipped from her dress without thinking or caring - it was her sister after all. She'd watched and helped to change Siani's diapers when she was young. She began once more digging through the clothes and found an over sized sweater and a pair of leggings. The sweater which had nearly fit her years prior was now baggy around her. She looked down. "I'm going to stay in today." She finally said, tears still leaking from her eyes. "H-have you eaten yet?" She wondered, stepping over the mess she'd made. She crossed the room and moved to head down the stairs to make breakfast for the two of them. Under her breath she repeated the words that he'd said to her, only once though - it made her sick to think about it. Her sister had a right to hate her, as Elowen was sure she did.
