[Evander Dolio]

Hi All,

I'm new to the site, and figured I'd jump right into making some threads with anyone willing! I've got three characters to offer!

Evander "Evan" Dolio: I imagine Evan to be an innocent and kind 9 year old. He will be attending Hogwarts NZ next year when sorting opens. His mother disappeared about three years ago, and Evan doesn't understand why which can be a source of conflict or mixed feelings. She was a Hogwarts NZ grad, and Evan is hoping to learn more about her over the next year. At this point I'm looking to have Evan make some friends, and largely go around doing kid things.

Hermann Dolio: Hermann is in his early thirties. He is Evan's father. He is making it through as a single father. He is intended to be morally grey, working as a ward setter for vaults or family heirlooms. Sometimes he is hired to test wards and determine if they are "safe". If the money is reasonable he will do a gig in the procurement industry.

Felix Fray: I came up with an idea of character after realizing it'll be a while before I can start playing in Hogwarts. Felix is still in the flexible period of character development but I've got a pitch I'm hoping someone would be interested in exploring. I'm intending for Felix to be going to one of the other wizarding schools, I'd put him somewhere between 4-6th year. I imagined he'd be a real brainy type, always focused on his books. He is real nerdy and hasn't necessarily been great at making friendships up to this point. However, he is running into issues this year with his magic. His goal this year will be to figure out what's happening to make so hard for him to access his magic this year. I'm looking for someone who'd be intersted in being his friend, and perhaps trying to solve the mystery with him. I'm happy to age match and school match.

I hve a couple of characters if you want to have a thread with any onf them.

First of all i have fiona here who can potentially look out for him once he is sorted.

then in a similar age bracket to Hermann, I have
@Willow Cullen. She is an auror and has recently had a son who i think is now almost two.
@Professor Selene Le Fey she is the ancient runes professor. She is also a seer. She has an interest in history and archaeology. - Maybe they could have met on some archaeological site in the past (if that is the kind of wards he could test). and they could have a catch up at some stage.
@Linden Kinnek : Magizoologist. he works in the sanctuary. Maybe he can hire him to set a ward for a new enclosure, or around a paddock at home. i dont know.

Hi Mia!

Those all sound like really great! For Hermann's first outing, I think a work thread were I can shift focus on the job will helpful. Could we do a thread with Hermann and Linden? I can imagine them meeting at the sanctuary and scoping out the location?

Hi Dan, welcome to HNZ! I have Cass here who I originally planned to sort in two years but will very likely bring forward to the next sorting. He's very much a chaotic, wind-up type. He's very confident with bad ideas and usually takes the consequences on the chin. Underneath the surface though he is dealing with the death of his father and mounting pressure from his older brother to grow up and take more responsibility. I think he could work really well with Evan as a possible friendship and get up to some shenanigans together. Happy to have them meet now so they already know each other by the time they get to Hogwarts. ~ Verity

Hi Verity,

I think Cass and Evan would make great friends. I can definitely imagine Evan doing his best to make sure a situation doesn't end up with too many consequences from any scheme. I can also see the pair relating to the single parent experience if our role play ever turns to a more emotional moment.

Thoughts on just meeting the way nine years old meet? At a park? I have an idea of Evan with a magnifying glass literally looking at grass trying to find a four-leaf clover, with Cass coming by with either a better way to find a four leaf clover or potentially something more interesting.
