Natasha was absolutely furious. Her whole world was shattered into pieces, and she had nothing left. She stormed through the castle, almost crashing into several first years. It had been a while now since she found out the truth about Delani, but the reality of the situation had just started to set in.

The fact that Delani had lied to Natasha was bad enough, but the fact that she had done so much to cover the lie was impossible. Elaine, Natasha's mother, was supposed to be dead. Natasha had accepted that. But to find out that her supposed 'aunt' had been living a lie was too much for Natasha to handle.

The letter had changed everything. Elaine was not dead, but masquerading as someone else. Pretending to be Delani. The thing that Natasha couldn't stand the most about the whole Delani/Elaine situation was that her siblings didn't seem to care.
Ava was off in France, and James had never been close to Delani in the first place. Charlotte was ten now, and still hadn't got a clue what was going on. Natasha felt sorry for her little sister. She wasn't even sure if Charlotte was even her sister now, because now she knew that Charlotte wasn't even Delani's daughter.

Natasha hated Delani. No, hate couldn't even come close to how she felt. Natasha wished things could go back to how they were before she had started Hogwarts. But she couldn't travel back in time, so she couldn't change anything. Natasha sat down by the lake and cover her face with her hands. Everything was utterly hopeless.

Patricia has finished doing all the work she had to catch up on after spending more time in Brightstone than she had intended too the previous day. It wasn't like she meant too but after she had finally come to the decision to get rid of the two last things that reminded her off Ruki, the necklace and ring he had given her for her two birthdays that they had spent together, she had got talking to someone. That someone happened to be Yvo Rowan, and very sweet boy from Durmstrang that happened to be the older brother of a girl Pat knew from the Sorority. She hadn't realised how long the two had spent talking but Patricia didn't mind as he had managed to cheer her up after getting rid of Ruki gifts, it was still hard for her to get over him but she was trying.

Figuring she deserved a break after doing all of her work she headed outside, enjoying the warmer spring weather that the days brought now in New Zealand compared to the slightly colder days of winter. Heading down to the lakefront, easily Pat's most favourite spot in the whole school, she saw a familiar figure sitting there. Patricia was a bit cautious about approaching her best friend due to the attitude she had been giving everyone around her lately. Although Patricia decided against it because she understood what it was like to have your life turned upside down when it came to family matters and Patricia wasn't going to desert on of her best friends for something which she had gone through herself and Natasha had helped her through. "Hey you!" she said happily as she sat down beside Natasha.

What the heck am I supposed to do? Natasha thought furiously. Was she supposed to forgive Delani for lying and act like everything was perfect, like everyone else seemed to be doing? She stiffened as she heard Patricia's voice. She looked up and blinked. "Hey Pat!" she said with a very forced smile. Act like nothing is wrong, and nothing will be wrong. The words of Natasha's cousin Claerwen rang in her ears. Natasha attempted to act her normal self, but her eyes were still red from crying. Then again, Claer didn't exactly give the best advice...

Patricia took the smile on Natasha’s face as a good sign, but then again she could tell a forced smile when she saw one a mile off. Partly because she had done it herself before but mostly because she had known Natasha for too long to know when she was being sincere and when she wasn’t. Stretching her legs out in front of her Patricia put her arms behind her to rest on. Looking at her friend and trying her best to ignore the red eyes she attempted to keep things casual, “So how were your holidays? We haven’t had much time to catch up since we got back.” She asked, knowing it was partly her fault as she had her Prefect duties, Quidditch try-outs and everything that was on her plate.

Natasha shrugged. "Holidays were okay, I stayed with my cousins." she said in an attempt at conversation. Truthfully, Natasha's holidays had been possibly the worst of her life. She had decided to stay with the Marinos, totally forgetting that they hated her for being a Hufflepuff and being the daughter of Elaine. Natasha had flatly refused to stay with Delani, and she couldn't stay with her dad. Tristan had decided that he didn't want anything to do with her anymore, and Natasha wasn't even allowed to see her half-sister, Aimee and Belle. "How were your holidays?" she asked politely.

Patricia nodded her head slowly as Natasha spoke. Patricia wasn't overly sure if Natasha staying with her cousins was a good or a bad thing but Patricia didn't want to ask incase Nat decided to have a go at her, something which Pat didn't want to happen. She had figured it would be best to let Natasha tell her what she wanted to tell her and not force things out of her. Patricia couldn't place in her head if she remembered Natasha liking her cousins or not, that girl almost had a big of a family than she did. Although Patricia never really had a big family and it was only something she was getting used to after having found out Professor Styx was her father. Even though that was almost two years ago Patricia was still finding out about certain family members she didn't even know excisted. When Patricia's question was returned to her she realised she hadn't told well anyone about her tattoo yet and figured this would be a good a time as any, "I...um...got a tattoo." she said, not explaining the whole situation straight away as she wanted to see Natasha's instinctive reaction.

Natasha stared at her friend. "Did I hear you wrong? Did you say you got a tattoo?" she asked, bewildered. That seemed impossible to her, she hadn't thought Patricia as someone who would get a tattoo. This was just another thing that added to Natasha's utter confusion. "Why did you get a tattoo?"

Do you know how impossible it is to RP when your mother is yelling at you to get off the computer??? XD

Patricia had expected Natasha's reaction but it couldn't stop her from laughing at it. She hadn't really told anyone about the tattoo but it felt good to get it off her chest, even though it didn't bother her anymore she didn't like keeping things from her friends, especially not this big. "Well it wasn't exactly my choice, it was either get it or....well lets not go there." she said shrugging, not exactly wanting to scare her friends about just how bad her family was. "Well turns out my family has these big thing of rules that we have to follow and one of them is that when you turn 16 you have to recieve the family crest on your back." she told her. After she had said this she turned her back to Natasha and rolled up the back of her jumper to show the Zhefarovich Crest that covered her whole back.

"And I thought my family was scary." Natasha said with a half-smile. Well, her family was scary. Not forcing-sixteen-year-olds-to-get-tattoos-scary though. She bit her lip. Natasha missed being part of her family. It was so weird for her to have no letters to read and reply to, and she doubted anyone in the family actually cared whether or not she even lived! "Um.... Pat..." she began, then trailed off. "I need to tell you something." she said softly. Natasha had to tell someone about Delani, otherwise she would explode! If you can't trust your friends, who can you trust really?

Patricia let out a small snort when Natasha commented on how her family was scary. Sure some people would think that, heck back in first year her dad was scary to her but she soon got over that. Although Patricia had to admit that her Grandfather was a very scary man, just the look of him was enough to make her know not to give off about how stupid the tattoo was, something she had done to her parents and anyone who would listen beforehand. Then again Patricia didn’t know the exact extent of just how scary her family really were, with pretty much them all being Death Eaters and with the family’s history it did seem like a scary family. When Natasha said she needed to tell her something Patricia frowned her eyebrows, “Shoot.” Although she had no idea what it could be about she hoped it had something to do with whatever had been clearly bugging her lately so Patricia could help sort it out.
