Essentially the first thing Wallace had done upon finding out he was a candidate for the Ministerial election was owl Deirdre excitedly, buy a suit, and then head home to ask for his sister's help in making himself look good. Of course, looks were only a small part of campaigning, and it was all about the policy, but he knew he had to look his best. Attractive candidates with attractive policies attracted votes. Wallace had seen enough politics in his childhood to know how this all worked.

Now, with some signs that his sister had crafted for him, Wallace leisurely strolled down the street, a smile on his face, looking rather suave in his suit. He was hoping for an easy day of campaigning, though he had a feeling it wouldn't all go smoothly. After all, while he saw his platform of equality as making perfect sense, he knew traditionalists wouldn't have a bar of it. Muggleborns and half-breeds having the same rights as purebloods? Preposterous! But Wallace would not be deterred. Today, he was going to drum up as much support as he could in the harbour.

Thank heavens for a childhood in politics.

Dorian made a point not to be in the Harbor often. He didn't like being around people, and he was certain they wouldn't like being around him. However, he had to survive. The 21-year-old only ever visited three shops; the Apothecary, Flourish and Blotts, and an out-of-the-way grocery store. It was routine for Dorian to finish his errands, avoiding passerby at every opportunity.

The well-dressed-man in the streets wasn't exactly passerby. Whoever he was, he was looking for attention. Why else would he have all of those signs about him? Dorian's curiosity overpowered his aversion to other magical folk. "What is this all about?" the werewolf inquired, quickly looking away. Dorian had never picked up an issue of the Prophet. With no friends or acquaintances in New Zealand, he had no knowledge of the upcoming elections. The young man didn't live under a literal rock, but he did call a cabin his home.
