It was rather late for a thirteen year old Ravenclaw to get a snack but the diet the young Countess was on is torturing her. Teagan, just now realized, that her diet isn't supervise by either her mum or any of her staff. Months she tortured herself to eat only fruits and vegetables. A Quidditch keeper needs their strength and no meat means out of the game. Stomach growling, Teagan sat up from her bed. Roommates fast asleep in their own beds, the awake Ravenclaw got out of bed, grab her coat and wore her slippers. Silently getting out of their dormitory, Teagan ventured out of the common room and took the flight down to the kitchen without being caught.

The silence of the corridors without those pesky first years was divine. Only then her stomach made an angry noise. Teagan tickled the pear on a huge canvas and it opened slowly, revealing the vast kitchen. Upon entering, Teagan took off her coat and set it aside on top of bulk sacks of potatoes. Though, she didn't expect seeing a whole nice chocolate cake at the breakfast nook which was odd. Either way it was food with good amounts of calories for her. Summoning a dessert plate and fork with her wand that was stuck behind her right ear. The thirteen year old looked around, thinking it was a prank but shrugged her shoulder as she took a piece of the chocolate cake. Teagan enjoyed it slowly while her feet covered in hippo slipper dances around.

Liam was still a bit bitter after Hufflepuff's first game of the season. It had been a tough loss to take but he defiantly thought that Reuben had got an especially hard time after the game, Liam didn't think their captain had performed any worse than the rest of the team, it hadn't been their finest hour. Though Marzen still wanted to celebrate the slow squad takeover of the Hufflepuff team. His friend sure knew how to pick his moments, but he and and the rest of their friends had managed to take Liam's mind of the loss, so he had been grateful for that.

Not able to sleep, and with non of his dorm mates awake, Liam decided to sneak out. There wasn't much of the castle he hadn't already been too, but one of the places he visited the most was the kitchen. Mostly during the day, so to be heading in that direction at night was a strange experience for him. Liam made his way into the kitchen, intending to grab whatever he could and head back to the common room but his plans changed when he saw someone already in the kitchen. "Teagan, hi, I would ask what you're doing here but I'd say its fairly obvious,"

The delicious taste of the chocolate cake was tremendous that Teagan stuffed her mouth too much of it. She didn't care the icing on the side of her lips as long as nobody could see her slobbery nature. A bit satisfied with the sweet on her tummy, she went to grab some drinking glass and poured faucet water to drink. It was rather unsanitary but the wizarding world doesn't offer bottled water. Scanning the kitchen, Teagan eyed the pantry where everything are at. She grab bread, cold cuts, lettuce and some mayo to make a sandwich. Hugging all of it, is as if caught read handed, the Ravenclaw heard someone called for her. She looked up and saw Liam.

Stunned, Teagan dropped everything she was carrying onto the floor, turned around from the boy and checked her lips for any remnants of that chocolate icing. "Hey, Liam. Just checking for some left overs." She said shyly once she was decent to turn around. But truth lies on the floor that it wasn't the left overs she's intended to eat. "Those ..." Teagan pointed at the wasted food on the floor, "... are for my roommates and now, they're nobody else." She looked at it like her life had been wasted enough. She bit her lip and looked back at Liam, "Hungry or couldn't sleep?" Teagan asked.

Liam didn't know a lot about Teagan, given that he had been alone with her on one occasion when they played chess together. He had been surprised by her that day, she had gained a bit of a reputation around the school and Liam had been in the stands for her infamous game against Slytherin where she was ejected. So he hadn't expected her to be so, normal. Her reputation for being a hot head didn't match up to the person he knew and he wondered how many people had seen the side of her that he had, it would be a shame if he was the only one.

The scene that Liam walked into in the was quite amusing and he struggled to hold back a laugh as he took in the sight of Teagan with dropped food at her feast. "Couldn't sleep, also a little hungry, though clearly not as hungry as you," He grinned at her. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone how food I caught you with, but since all that is on the floor, maybe we should get to work on something we can actually eat?" He suggested taking a look around the fridge. Liam noticed something in the corner of Teagan's lip and smirked. "You missed a bit," He said motioning to his own lip. "You didn't save me any cake?" Liam asked with a mock look of disappointment.

Teagan rolled her eyes at Liam's comment as she took out her wand, levitated all the food from the ground and placed them in the trash. "Well, if your mother care about image than their kid. You'll understand the struggle." She told the Hufflepuff. Teagan never forget she's important outside the wizarding world, how can she when she's being monitored twenty-four seven? "Just promise you won't say anything about this to others or else ... " Teagan narrowed her eyes at him and when she's satisfied about her threat, her face calmed.

A suggestion about food again made her stomach growled despite eating an entire cake by herself. Though Liam pointing out something on her lips panicked her a little bit. Teagan, embarrassed, tried to locate the spot and hoped for the best she got it. "Oh, shut it. I didn't know it was for everyone." Teagan shrugged, she would have shared it if he came earlier. "Or we could bake one layer? I mean, how hard it is to bake a cake?" She doesn't have a clue how hard to bake one, she had bake cookies before but it got burned and vowed never to handle an oven again.

Liam watched as Teagan levitated the food that had crashed at her feet when he had entered the kitchen. "Can't say I do, my mother is a feeder, it's a wonder I'm not three hundred pounds, thank Merlin for my metabolism or I wouldn't be able to fly a broom," He laughed at his own ramblings. "Sorry, I tend to ramble when I'm tired," and nervous but Liam left that part out, he didn't want to make it awkward between them. He frowned when he made her promise not to tell, "You really think I need to be threatened to keep quiet? Besides I find you as threatening as a kitten, but don't worry my chocolate free lips are sealed?" He grinned trying not to laugh.

Teagan seemed rather sensitive about the cake incident so Liam laughed to lighten the mood. "Relax, I'd have done the same," Liam was surprised when she suggested they make a cake themselves. "Does her ladyship know how to bake a cake?"

Liam's sweet laugh and words seems to have taken Teagan's mind off her embarrassing moment with a guy. It was an awful second impression Liam would have seen. First the wizards chess fail and now her gluttony, what could possibly go wrong next that involves her and Liam? Teagan chuckled at the name Liam called her, it's been months since she heard that but now Teagan had heard it from other people, other than her servants at home, it felt weird and wrong. She had never been called liked that here at school, "Nope, never had done it before but I have seen quite a few baking shows to know it needs flour." Teagan informed Liam as she went to grab some flour. She came back with it already in a bowl, only to dab a handful of flour on his cheeks. "Oh, and never call me 'your ladyship' ever again." She whispered to him. Grinning a little bit as she looked at the white stuff on his face.

Liam couldn't believe Teagan was taking her confidence in baking from tv shows. He'd watched a lot of medical shows with his dad it didn't mean he could perform surgery, but there was something about her that put him at ease, despite them being in the kitchen in the middle of the night. "Ok you're ok, lets bake a cake, though how you can even think about one after eating one already I'll never know," He laughed tightening the belt on his dressing gown. Liam watched as she went off and came back with a bowl of flower and before he could react she had dabbed some on his cheeks and whispered that he wasn't to call her her ladyship again. He didn't know which to address first. "What I can't even call you it when we're alone?" he winked at her and scooped some flour into his hand and blew it into her face. "If that's how you want to play this,"

Teagan smiled wider, spending with someone she barely knew was something she never expected. Everyone knows she's the hot headed Ravenclaw keeper and should be left alone. Teagan was only defending her teammates, she was loyal but cost them a keeper which ended them loosing. "Well ..." She almost started to answer his question when he decided to blew flour on her face. Teagan had the reflex to close her eyes and pursed her lips. She was silent for a moment before she opened her eyes with mischief on them. "Something's missing." Teagan stated and took her wand out. "Accio, eggs!" She said simply. The Ravenclaw, not as sharp as everyone thinks, just summoned a fragile projectile with a speed of light.

Teagan's plan to crack the egg on Liam's head backfired as eggs started coming on her direction. She didn't know how many eggs the school buys, but at least 5 eggs had gone down on her. "This is not how its suppose to be ... " Waving her wand again, "Finite!" The eggs stopped coming, covered in gooey yellow liquid that is eggs, Teagan sigh. "I guess I can be a pancake now?" She smiled weakly at Liam. Embarrassed isn't even on the Ravenclaw's mind right now.

Liam wasn't sure how Teagan would react to his little flower trick, he was a little curious to what she was about to say before he blew it in her face. Perhaps she was going to allow him to call her your ladyship, though he suspected that was out the window once the flower hit her face. "And what would that be?" He asked when she said something was missing. Liam wasn't expecting the eggs, he really wasn't expecting them to hit Teagan. He laughed, shamelessly, he knew she was embarrassed but he couldn't help it, seeing Teagan covered in eggs that had been meant for him was just too funny not to laugh at.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh but that was pretty funny," He said wiping some of the egg from her face. "I never pegged you as being clumsy with magic, if something making you nervous?" He asked with a smirk. Granted she could just be tired, or he could be making her nervous. Liam hoped it was the later.

Covered in the most embarrassing thing in the world plus the guy in front of her laughing endlessly at her demise. Teagan can't help but smile, maybe because no one had dare to laugh at her like this before. It just proves that she's normal after all. His touch though gave her a shiver down her spine. "What ... ?" Her voice became high pitched all of a sudden but immediately cleared her throat. Teagan shook her head to disagree with Liam. "I'm not clumsy ... the eggs were fragile." The Ravenclaw answered. She wasn't clumsy, she was taught to be graceful and nor she's nervous on something except one. Facing Hufflepuff in Quidditch. Last year was a fail, Teagan wasn't a chaser material but she did try her best at that time.

The Ravenclaw sigh eventually, "Playing your house in Quidditch is what I'm nervous about. What if I'm placed as chaser again? Or worst ... a seeker? Flying everywhere looking for a golf ball size golden flying ball is a torture." She complained. Teagan couldn't imagine playing seeker, although, beater position will make it more interesting but her problem isn't Liam's problem. The guy might not even like Quidditch. "Rambling about Quidditch isn't on your forte, right? I don't want to bore you with those stuff if you don't like Quidditch." Teagan shrugged and decided to wash her face on the sink, at least eggs are good for the skin but she doesn't know if it is good for the hair as well. After washing her face, Teagan summoned a hand towel that came somewhere, dried her face and damp the towel. The thirteen year old came back to Liam and dab the damp towel on his whiten face by the flour. "There you go. Good as new." She said once the flour were gone from his face.

Liam nodded along as Teagan tried to wriggle out of admitting to being clumsy by blaming the incident on the eggs themselves. He did his best not to laugh. "Fragile or not, they hit you in the face, thats on you not the eggs," He laughed and nudged her playfully. "I'm sure we can scrape off what's on your face and turn it into a cake? I'm a whiz with a whisk you know," Liam smiled and winked at Teagan, he may have been exaggerating a tad but he did know the basic principle of baking a cake, so it was a good place to start.

What surprised him was Teagan confessing that playing Hufflepuff was actually making her nervous, he was a little confused especially when she rambled on about her playing other positions. "You're a great keepr why would they put you anywhere else? That would be madness," He knew she had been ejected from a game before but what did she mean about playing other positions. Had he missed that game? "Actually I love quidditch, I'm actually on the team, I'll be playing against you," He smiled at her. Liam did think that he would have one less target at the game. He couldn't bring himself to hit her with a bludger. Liam smiled when she wiped the flower off his face. "Thanks, so about that cake,"

She listened at Liam, smiling when he praised her for being a great keeper. Yes, she was aggressive inside the pitch but it depends outside of it. "Well, thank you for the compliment, at least you see my potential." Teagan chuckled as she tossed the damp towel at a nearest table. It was only her second year playing for the Ravenclaw team, they had won the first game but her not getting enough practice since winter break scares her. Although, Teagan's smile vanished suddenly when the guy she's fully knowing just told her, he's on their opponents team. "W-what ..? you're joking, right?" How could she possibly play against a friend? Teagan was always focus and now, she's embarrassed to go aggressive to everyone.

She chuckled again to vanish her obvious nervousness even just for a second, "I like you, your jokes are very funny. What's next? you'll tell me you play beater? Because you know ... I'll laugh harder for that. And yeah, let's do that cake." Teagan was fairly doubting everything was a joke. But she prayed to all the gods that it was just a joke. Taking the bowl of flour and refilling it again enough for a good size cake, Teagan placed the bowl at the counter, then went for a couple of eggs and summoning the rest of the ingredient she knows that will complete the cake and placing it with the others on the counter. The third year Ravenclaw took a deep breath and gave Liam a sweet smile, "So, Yule Ball is coming up. Are you taking someone or going solo?" Teagan asked the only non-awkward question she got. It was rather a comfortable subject.

Liam smiled at Teagan, glad to see she was the type who could take a compliment unlike some people he knew. "What you talking about potential? You're a great keeper now, couple of years you'll be unstoppable," He grinned at her as he watched her throw aside the towel. Teagan had a smile on her face though that seemed to change when he dropped the news he was on the Hufflepuff team. Teagan didn't seem to like that news at all. "What? I'm serious and yeah I play beater, what's the big deal? He asked surprised at how alarmed she seemed at the idea of playing against him.

In an effort to move past her strange awkwardness about him playing on the quidditch team Teagam changed the subject which he thought was a curious switch but it gave him a chance to do something he'd been thinking about. "Well about that, I was wondering if you'd like to go with me," He asked a little nervously as he watched her assemble the ingredients for the cake.

Teagan shook her head at the Quidditch subject. She'll just have faith that he'll not knock her out of her broom. She loves playing Quidditch, the only thing that keeps everything normal for her. Teagan's heart skip a beat as she heard Liam asked her to the Yule ball, "S-seriously?" The Ravenclaw stuttered. It was the first time Teagan was asked for that kind of matter. Nervous, she cracked an egg on the bowl with the shell on it. Oh, for the love of Merlin, Teagan. get a grip. She smiled nervously at Liam and said, "If it's not an inconvience for you. I would love to go to the Yule Ball with you." Finally, something will be a good thing on her third year at Hogwarts. Although, rivalry with Murphy was a good thing too.

The girl motioned for him to come beside her, whisk in hand. Teagan started combining the ingredients and all it needs is a mix. "Would you do the honors of mix it?" She asked, biting her lips to suppress her laugh.

Liam tried not to react as Tegan stuttered a little after he asked her to the Yule ball, was she that surprised that someone had asked? Or for that matter was she nervous? Liam smilef at her to reassure that he was in fact serious, why wouldn't he be? "Inconvenience? It was my idea," He laughed a little wondering how serious her comment was. "It would be my honour my lady," He bowed his head slightly and winked when he straightened back up. He knew she probably wouldn't like him calling her that but if it kept the mood light it would have served its purpose.

Glad for the chance to focus back on the cake and not on the fact he had just asked someone out for the first time in his life. When Teagan motioned for him to cone closer he toom the wisk and did just that. "Happy to," He beamed and began to mix the mixture. ["You know there is probably a spell for this, but i find it quite therapeutic,"/class]

She ignore the guy's comment with a chuckle. It was a joke to call her like that again but if he tried calling her that again one more time, he'll probably going to get something nasty from her. But for now, Teagan was enjoying his company. When Liam came closer and took the whisk from her, Teagan pulled herself up at the counter and sat there. She studied Liam better, he was cute, yes but enough to date? She doesn't know. "Liam?" Her voice wondering. "We're against each other on the up coming game ... Would you ... Umm ... try to take me down if your captain would tell you to?" For Teagan, as far as she knows, she would rather not play against her friends but unfortunately, Liam's the first friend she has that's on a Quidditch team.

"I mean, I'm not guilt tripping you or anything. I'm just preparing myself. I'm not going to be mad or anything if you did, I just tad exaggerate on throwing jinxes everywhere." She chuckled nervously. Her attack on others was by far the worst on History of Hogwarts New Zealand, she thinks. It was also a good thing that she's not that famous in the wizarding world than the muggle world. It'll be an embarrassment to her family and friends if ever that was the turn out. "Anyways, I'm not going to stop you from doing your job at the game. Speaking of Yule Ball and the fact winter is coming. Are you staying in the castle for the holidays or are you going home?" Teagan had decided to stay here in the castle to get away from her family, specially her mother who nags too much that she's on the point of giving her title to her aunt back.

Liam figured he was pushing his luck referencing Teagan's noble heritage. She clearly wasn't comfortable with him calling her as such and he didn't want to be someone who upset her so he decided twice was enough. Liam watched from the corner of his eye as Teagan pulled herself up onto the counter as he whisked the contents of the bowl. He wasn't sure what she was thinking but she appeared to be looking him over, was she checking him out? Liam had to admit he had done the same a few times since being in her company and while sharing lessons with her. When she brought up quidditch and if he would take her down on his captains orders, Liam didn't hesitate before answering, "No," His answer surprised him. "I mean, I couldn't, I don't want to hurt you," He said looking away from her and focusing on the bowl.

He had to laugh when she mentioned throwing jinxes around, she was rather spell happy even during quidditch games. "Would you really jinx me?" He asked looking up at her not sure if she was serious or not. When she changed the topic to the Christmas holidays Liam shrugged his shoulders, "Yeah I'm staying at the castle I usually do, will I be seeing you around over the holidays?" He asked hopefully.

Hearing Liam answered her question faster than a running cheetah gave a smile on her lips, "Oh, come on. Hurting me is the last thing on your mind. Aren't you the type of guy who likes winning first before putting friends?" At least that's what she thinks or observed. Teagan really doesn't know what friends do to each other in a competition like this, she'll probably know soon enough. When the question was turn to her, Teagan shook her head. "Not in a million years and besides, I'm not risking my friendship with you or detention in that matter." She told him honestly. Her mother never encourage her to befriend someone, she always says that it down grade your morale but of course, she never listens.

Swinging her feet slowly, she just noticed her hippo slippers. Teagan tried to hide it as she found out that Liam stays at the castle on holidays. "Does it happen every holidays?" Teagan asked. It was surprising to her that some people choose to stay but then again, she doesn't know their reason for staying in the first place. She, on the other hand, has a good reason to stay for the holidays but it's still different with family. "You'll definitely see me around ... maybe you have some tradition you do that you can teach me? We just basically have dinner, open presents and go to bed which is very boring and I sound like an alien from outer space who doesn't know how to celebrate a holiday." The teenager pursed her lips with an agreeing nod. Alien is the right word to call her, she doesn't know anything.

Liam wondered what he had done to make her thing he would be so ruthless on the Quidditch pitch that he would put winning before his friends. He simply shrugged his shoulders, ""Depends on the friend, you get a pass from me, but I can't speak for Victoria," He laughed at the last part, his team mate and fellow beater was a bit of a loose cannon so who knew if she would want to target Teagan, but he was confident he would not be hitting anything at here come the game. "Glad to know losing me is on par with getting detention, He grinned and nudged her.

When Teagan asked if it happened every holidays it took Liam a moment to remember what she meant, "Every Christmas yeah, don't really know why, I went back for Christmas in my first year and there was something...off, so I decided to stay from then on," He smiled when she mentioned traditions, he had a couple but he wasn't sure if it was something she would want to do. "We played a lot of muggle board games and sharades and stuff like that, and kareoke, we do that too, my mum always tries to sing something heartfelt and emotional but she's such a bad singer it makes us all laugh,"
