Shaylah led on the edge of the cliff with her notebook out. She didn't know what she was drawing until she stopped and looked at it. It was her old house. An exact black and white copy of the version in her memory down to the last brick. She'd been on autopilot thinking about her dad. She didn't even remember starting the drawing. It wasn't the first time this had happened though. Once she started thinking about Jay, the rest of the world disappeared into nothing and she was left in a dream world where her body was doing what it wanted. It was annoying thing but she was getting used to it after a few years of it happening.
Shay's mind drifted from her dad and went to Adam. She'd seen him again. His amazing smile and his charming grin. She was glad to see him as she had missed him the whole of the holidays. It was scary to think how long the two of them had been dating. She wondered whether she'd be able to test him on it and make sure he keeps up to date. She didn't like the thought that he'd forget it in the future. She was one of those girls that liked the anniversary.

If it was possible she'd have moved there already but she couldn't see that happening seeing as she'd never be able to get to school and she would run out of money in no time. All she had was what her dad had left behind and that was just about covering her for school and clothes. The question was how soon after graduation was she going to need a job to keep a house going??
