Melanie finished writing to Jerrod and smiled. She hadn't spoken to him in a few years but he was the only person her age that she liked and trusted so she thought she'd get back in contact with him.

Hi, It's Melanie. Don't know if you remember me but I was bored and decided to Owl you. How have you been? How's Hogwarts?

She tied the letter to one of Ryans' owls and sent it off before going down and joining the family.

Yeah, of course I remember you. How could I forget??
I've haven't been too bad. Sister's been blowing up in my face but that's about it. How about you??
Hogwarts isn't too bad. I find most of it too easy so I get all my grades without even trying. How's home schooling. Who teaches you?? Is it the guy who adopted you or has he got you a tutor?? I know nothing about home schooling.

What's she been blowing up in your face about?
I'm pretty good, home schooling is great. I get to do what I like, when I like as long as I know the magic I'm taught during the week before.
Yeah, Ryan teaches me when he's home and sometimes Noemi does when Shane is asleep. It's awesome.

Because she saw me with a Gryffindor girl. I think she was probably just jealous.
Ha. Sounds great. I'd never be able to cope with it though because my mum's a psychopath.

Well I can see why she'd flip. Gryffy's are usually stupid and goody two shoes. She better not be like that?
Shane is Ryan's kid, he's only a few months old. Noemi's his mum. They're living with me in the New Zealand house until her stitches heal fully from the C section. She's cool.
Yeah, it's awesome, I basically get to do what I want after lessons as long as it ain't something stupid.

Yeah, they are usually. She's different though. I don't know what it is. There's just something about her that..I don't know...
Isn't it annoying having a baby in the house?? Bella and Rosie annoy me enough and I'm barely ever there.
So do I as long as it's on the school grounds and there's no teachers around.

Then by all means see her, if you like her then she gotta be good. Or, rather, not good.
Nah, Shane is cool. He mainly just laughs, he's already spoilt rotten and he doesn't even know what's going on yet.
See, that's the difference, I can do what I want where ever I want.
Ah well. Whatever you think. Ryan should be coming home soon, he's been at loads of jobs so we're having a 'family' night in. Never had one of these before, wander what'll happen.

I am but it kind of sucks that I can't hang out with my girls without one killing the other. Plus, Lily's probably going to completely ignore me for the next few weeks and she says she's telling my mum. I don't know how well that's going to go down.
Ha. Sounds fun. At least we know he'll grow up to be decent. It's the unspoilt ones that usually turn out to be weird and creepy.
There's plenty to do here to get into trouble. I usually end up pranking all the little first year Gryffs. Keeps me amused.
Family nights are always fun for me because there's so many of us but there's always at least one fight. Is your's just going to be you, Ryan, Noemi and Shane?? Or is someone else going to be there??

Yeah it's just us. Ryan hasn't actually met Noemi's family yet, even though she's had his kid.
It's getting kinda boring here. Imagine staying at home all the time. I need something to do.

I just wish Lily was more accepting so I could have the two of them together. I'm going to talk to her when she calms down a bit.
Isn't it a good time that he meets them then?? Family's always the part of a partner's relations that you should meet. Friends come and go and colleagues are useless but family are always there.
Tell me about it. We're not allowed out of school except on Brightstone weekends and pranking little kids can sometimes get boring if you're in the wrong sort of mood.
Don't you have any friends over there that you can hang out with??
