Charlie's head hurt. He had been exploring the castle all day for something to do other than sit in the common room. He decided he might like to visit the library as one last place. It seemed fit considering the pain building up in his head could do with some quiet time.

Yawning he stepped into the space and glanced around. There were a few people there, but not many, he slipped to the back of the library and examined the books, thinking how utterly ridiculous some of the titles were. He didnt care for anything. He then came across a book on Dragons and his eyes widened. No. They couldnt possibly exist?! Are you joking?! His mind protested. Charlie pulled it off the shelf and took a look. It was casually describing where dragons are found. Charlie shut the book shaking his head. He didnt want to know. This was just another crazy thing to add to the list of crazy things he had been piling up ever sinse he got his Hogwarts letter.

Sitting in the common room for hours at a time was beginning to bore Wiremu. No, not just bore, but drive him crazy. He was in a castle that had magic, and how was he spending his free time? Sitting in a chair, drumming his fingers on his knee. Although Wiremu had explored most of the castle over his first few days, there was still one place he hadn't visited. The library.

Surprising himself, Wiremu stood up swiftly, pushing open the portrait and descending the many stairs. In no time, he found himself on the fourth floor. Stepping into the library, he raised an eyebrow playfully. He was in a library. A place with books! Out of every room in the school, this was the last place Wiremu thought he'd visit to get way from boredom. Maybe to become bored, but never to beat it.

Pulling up his baggy jeans, he began casually walking through each aisle, occasionally stopping to read a title here and there. Even though magic was all new to him, books would never be able to hold his attention. So no matter how interested he may have been in the subject, Wiremu didn't pick up any books. Instead, he began humming to himself as he walked, giving the odd wave to those who told him to be quiet.

Rounding the corner onto the aisle about magical creatures, Wiremu noticed another boy about his age, reading a book. Intending to just walk past, he caught the title of the boy's book. It mentioned something about dragons. "What the fu- dge muffins," he said quickly, not wanting to insult anyone by swearing. "Is that what I think it is?" Wiremu laughed, pointing to the book. "So they have dragons here too? What's next, mermaids?" he joked.

Wiremu found the whole Wizarding world fascinating, but at the same time he would approach it the same way he'd approach anything - by joking about it. So while it may have come across that he wasn't really surprised by anything, he was in fact feeling the opposite. All this stuff about dragons and other creatures was slowly sinking in, but Wiremu knew that he would never find it normal. Well, not for a long time at least.

Charlie was about to place the book back on the shelf when a voice interupted him. He looked around to see another boy about his age. He seemed as surprised as Charlie on the concept of Dragons. Charlie couldnt help but let out a laugh at the boy's joke about mermaids. Even though the boy was joking, Charlie couldnt help but feel like the lake outside was swimming with such creatures. "No kidding." Charlie said absently, placing the book back on the shelf. It was then that Charlie realised this boy might know as much about the wizarding world as Charlie, which over all wasnt a heck of a lot. Charlie looked back at the boy quizically. "You knew to this aswell?" He made a gesture with his hands showing he meant everything in general. This school, dragons, magic. Everything.

Wiremu grinned, as the boy asked him if he was new to magic as well. "Sure am, bro. I'm one those.. Muggleborns? Yeah Muggleborns," he laughed. The magic jargon was really hard to remember, but he was getting it slowly. "In this um, class," he began, motioning with his thumb away from him. "The teacher was listing all the things we's learning this year. It's just so crazy compared to normal school. If I was at home right now I'd be doing maths and spelling and boring things like that," Wiremu laughed, picturing his friends sitting in class back home. Although it was really awesome at Hogwarts, of course he still missed his friends and family. "I'm Wiremu by the way. Where abouts are you from?" he asked, leaning forward to shake the boy's hand.

Charlie snorted a laugh when the boy said he was a muggleborn. Charlie still didnt understand why there were called that. I mean, people called wizards, wizards, they didnt have special names for them or anything. Why did they have to call non magic people muggles. It was stupid in Charlie's opinion.

Charlie listened as the boy explained what he would be doing back at home. Charlie wanted to go back to that. That was normal. Sure he had no friends back at his old school, but he didnt really have any friends here either. How he missed Math's and Spelling, he didnt want to be doing Tranfigurwatty and Charms.

The boy then introduced himself and Charlie clasped his hand with a nod. "Im Charlie. Charlie linus." He English accent coming through. "Im from Manchester in England." He said, "How about you?" Charlie asked, although he had a pretty good idea, judging by the boys accent.
