Auden was currently in a very bad predicament. Auden was normally very good at remembering where she put things at but today that didn't seem to be the case. She swore she had it earlier! It was in her hands when she left the Great Hall. It was still with her when she left the Hufflepuff Common Room not too long ago. But she didn't have it with her now. Auden suspected that the journal she was keeping was left in the lounge. Because that was the last place she remembered having it at. But now she really had to find the journal. Because if she didn't it could spell some serious trouble for her. Not that it contained mean secrets in it about people. Auden didn't really know anyone. Not enough to say anything mean about them anyways. It just had notes in there that she kept for classes, some of her private thoughts, and the back was filled with pictures of her and her dad. Some of her friends from back home were in it too. It was just something very important to her. Auden would be crushed if she didn't find it. It was one of the only things she had with her that she really cared about all that much. It wasn't like she had any friends. At least any true friends. There was that Troxa guy but he only wanted to be her friend when his other friends weren't around. The young Hufflepuff may have been naive but she wasn't a complete idiot. It didn't take a genius to figure out that he was actually embarrassed by her enough to the point where he didn't want to be seen hanging around with her. But that was just fine. Auden could deal with that. It wasn't like she was a mess without him. He was the first point she had met at this school but if she wasn't cool enough to be his friend all the time, then he wasn't cool enough to be her friend at all.

"Ugh where is it?!" Auden muttered under her breath. Her tiny hands lifted up piles of papers and moved furniture aside. She was in complete hopes that she would be able to find that dang journal laying around somewhere. But so far it seemed like it was nowhere to be found. It was starting to get frustrating that she could not find it because she was worried that someone might have taken it on her. Then what would she do? Try to get it back? Tell on the kid? Cry? She would probably do a mixture of all three actually. Auden a bit of a crybaby at times. More and more frantically the Hufflepuff began to search. Her heart was racing like a hundred miles per hour. It had to be somewhere in the lounge. Auden shifted over some couch cushions and frowned when she didn't see it there either. There was an end table at the end of the couch and Auden bent down to look under it. There was nothing under there either. When Auden heard someone enter the lounge she tried to jump up quickly. But she ended up smacking her head on the edge as she tried to stand up. "Ouuuuuuch!" Auden hissed. Her hand flew up to the top of her noggin. That really hurt. Plus now she felt pretty dang stupid too. But when she had heard that someone might be coming in here, she grew nervous that they might find the journal before she could.

Alexis wasn't really known for having a fantastic memory.. but somehow you couldn't expect someone to lose something that they kept on their person near 24/7, could you? Things like your wand, a book that you liked to read, and a bunch of other things to that effect. Although Alexis hadn't lost her wand, what she had managed to do was lose her favourite book, and she wouldn't be able to do anything unless she found that book. It wasn't as if it was a neccesity that she had that book for her life to go on, she just liked the comfort that she felt when she was able to hold that book and be able to read it whenever she wanted to read it. Some people would call that odd, but Alexis just loved reading. Even though she was a Slytherin, and liking to read was a Ravenclaw trait so to speak, Alexis still liked being able to read and the freedom and imagination that it gave the reader. There were times where she liked to be able to try and write her own stories, but they weren't very good to say the least. She wasn't the worst writer in the world, she just didn't have the capacity to be able to try and write proper stories. She loved being able to just sit down in the Student Lounge and be able to lose herself in a book when she was upset, or just be able to sit at a window and see a familiar face. Alexis had changed since her first year, she wasn't as shy as she had been back then, and she had seen that girl she had met before school started around a litle bit, but before now she hadn't really had the strength to be able to walk over to her and talk to her. She hadn't been sure if she'd even wanted to talk to her. But she wanted to try and talk to her nw. Alexis was heading to the lounge now, to see if she would be able to find some time to just sit and read and maybe try and talk to some people - maybe she would even bump into somebody that she already knew and she wouldn't be lonely for the entire day. She wasn't particularly sure what she would do for the day. She could read for hours, but it had to be a somewhat interesting book.

Alexis walked into the lounge now, and looked around quicky. There were quite a few people in here, a lot of them in a small group of friends. She didn't really have a lot of friends that she could hang around with. It was those kinds of people that always just stayed in a group of the same people that got boring all the time; change isn't always such a bad thing to happen to you in life, change can help you grow as an individual, and to expand your horizons as a group of people. Alexis loved it at this school, there were just so many places that a person could go and there seemed to be a place for everyone to be. She loved how you didn't have to like a particular thing, or be a particular kind of person to be able to fit in at this castle, everything was just made easy for you. Sure, there were cliques, but that was to be expected. Spotting a young Hufflepuff, and noticing that it was none other then the person that she had wanted to see right now, she approached her, smiling. She noticed that she looked a little frantic. "Hey Auden - what've you lost?" Alexis asked, wondering if she would be able to help, and maybe she would be able to find her lost book in here as well, she knew that one of the last places she had remembered seeing it was in here. Maybe the both of them would be able to help each other find what they had been looking for, and it would give them a chance to catch up with each other after a year. Noticing that she looked to be a little sore, she frowned. "Are you okay? Alexis asked.
