Izzy was really happy to be back at Hogwarts in New Zealand instead of back home in France with her new family. She still wasn't used to the change at all, which made her relationship with her father even more complicated than when he first told Isabelle he was going to marry that witch. The young Ravenclaw didn't even know whether her stepmother was a magical being or not, for all she knew even she was a muggle. There were some things for Izzy that were truly confusing. All she figured out was that she had a step brother, who was like Izzy but she didn't even know the boy's name. Sometimes that family infuriated her. And most of the time, it was her father who made her mad. Isabelle was happy she was able to forget about her old life during the school year so she could focus on her studies. That was what she worried about in the meantime. She hadn't told her father what she had chosen as her electives. She figured she might have to at some point, but for now she was satisfied just sitting by herself out near the lake, soaking in the sun before the lessons started next week. She was hoping to get some reading done, but since she did that during the holidays after she had purchased all of her supplies and returning to the library at school do finish it, she was left to relax. Izzy closed her eyes and smiled, enjoying the fresh air while it lasted. She had never minded the cold much, back in France it had been summer during the break which was Izzy's favourite season. There were older students and younger students milling about, playing or sitting like the Ravenclaw. She opened her eyes again to notice a few people were in fact in the Lake. Isabelle shuddered at the thought. She had never liked swimming all that much and probably wouldn't ever try to get in the lake herself. Her mind started wandering what impression the first years had gotten of the castle when they first stepped in it. They reacted the same way most of her year did, or so she thought - she had never been great at guessing such a thing.
