Hanging around

[Kate Johnson]

Kate was sitting by herself in the 1st floor corridor thinking.
She was hoping that someone would come along and sit with her. Finally she heard someone coming around the corner. She smiled and re opened her book. Thinking to herself.

 

[Ellie Sparks]

Ellie was making her way back up to the Common Roon from the lawn, but as she walked down the first floor corridor she spotted a girl sitting alone, reading. Ellie had seen the girl around a few times and had heard her name, but they had never properly met! "Hey Kate" She said with a cheery smile, "Mind if i join you?".

Kate jumped as someone approached her. "Oh yeh, sure you can." She said shyly and moved over on the bench to make space for a girl who she thought was possibly called Ellie, though she wasn't sure.

Ellie smiled and sat down beside Kate. "So how have you been enjoying first year?" Ellie asked, remembering how it was for her. Everything was so new and exciting and it was easily overwhelming.

Kate smiled, "So far yes. It has been a little hard going with the homework - I thought that i knew quite a lot about the wizarding world. It turns out that i don't." She said shyly.

 

[Hollie Ridley]

Hollie was making her way back to the Gryffindor common room after lunch that day, when she noticed Kate and... Ellie sat talking. At least that's what she thought the older girl's name was. Smiling, she walked over and knelt down.
"Heya, is it ok if I join you?" she asked, politely. She recognised Ellie for sure now. They had spoken once on the lawn - literally once, no more than a few words - and she had also seen Harri's sketch of the two second years.

Kate smiled at Hollie and nodded.
