The brunette sat at the table in the library, eyes flicking across the pages of her book. Roxan wasn't one to go talk to the others in her year. She was rather quiet, and got nervous when speaking to more than three people at one time. And even when she did speak, her voice was as quiet as a mouse. She couldn't help it. Growing up at home had never required her to speak to many people other than her family. Being home-schooled when in primary school had it's perks. Then public junior school was ok. But, Roxan still wasn't good with talking to people. That's why she stuck to her books. And why she was so shocked being a Gryffindor. She thought she would've been a Ravenclaw or something for how hard she tried at school. Still, the Sorting Hat must've known what it was doing... or else it wouldn't have placed in her in her house. She just had to trust it's decision.
Turning another page in her book, Roxan frowned slightly when she realised she had finished it already. Books really didn't last that long, didn't they... not with so much time to spare. Pushing her chair out and standing up, she gripped her book with both hands and went to return it to it's shelf. She vaguely remembered it being on a rather high one, and being petite in height, Roxan had needed a stepladder to reach it. Finding the metal contraption tat she had used previously, she placed her book on it and pushed it so it was in the right place. As much as magic would've seen the easier option... she knew not to be completely dependant on magic all the time. Yes, magic was very helpful, but Roxan also knew that doing things by hand was also as satisfying. Step by step, she climbed the ladder before slipping the book back in its place, and taking the sequel to it.
Placing both of her feet firmly on the ground, she leant against the bookshelf, reading the back of it. Tilting her head slightly, Roxan nodded and released a sigh. Well, she didn't have much else to do with her day.
