Morrie sat on the lawn furiously ripping up fistfulls of the grass while watching the Hufflepuff picnic going on in the distance. She thought they were all so lame with their board games and flower crowns. Even if Morrie had been a Hufflepuff she wouldn't have attended such a stupid event. She preferred to sit alone and work through her thoughts instead, like how much lamer this school was about to get when Vanity graduates, or that her horrid little half brother might be coming to Hogwarts next year, overlapped with the general misery of existing in the first place. The only positive thought she had was to thank Merlin that she wasn’t a Hufflepuff and how much worse it would be if she were! Morrie huffed loudly and yanked out a particularly large clump of grass and earth that she launched over her shoulder without a care as to where it landed.

Juniper was enjoying the little picnic her head of house had planned for them, she was sitting on her own a little further away from the others. There was a butterfly sat on a flower next to her, one that Juni was looking at with a soft smile when she felt something hit the back of her head. Huh. Raising her hand up to the spot that had taken the hit she felt something that felt very much like grass and earth stuck to her hair. Taking some of it she looked at her hand confused. How'd that gotten there? Turning around she saw a grumpy looking girl not that far away from her. Contemplating for a moment she glanced at the sandwich and sweets she had on a plate next to her before picking it up and walking to the girl. "Do- do you want any sweets?" She asked awkwardly offering the plate towards her. She recognized her from the Hogwarts Monthly, but had never really interacted with her. Perhaps the girl needed a friend, not that Juniper was any good for one but one could try.
