Willow had never really been one te believe in fate. she liked the fact that she was in control of her own life. she worked hard and earned her job, her title even her body. But somehow, no matter how hard she had fought settling down. how she had refused to love Basil and how she had enjoyed her freedom here she was living a perfectly respectable life, living with her partner and their son who was one and a bit years old. if she dared allow herself to admit it despite the reservations she had had she was happy. She was back to work dropped down to four days a week and it had taken a while but she and basil had managed to work out shifts, trainngs and scheduling so that they could look afte Acer with only one day a week at each of his grandparents and most weeks they managed to get at least one day off together to do something nice. Today was one of those days. they had a picnic packed in a bag and a toddler running around excited to see all the parks animals and visit the small petting zoo. she went up to the ticket stand and showed her year pass and got their tickets smiling as she walked back seeing her son and partner playing together. "Okay Little Ace. come and hold mum and dads hand" she said before he could run off. "what animals should we see first?" she asked. as they entered the park.

@Basil Kinnek

Basil couldn't quite believe sometimes that things had finally gone this way. He'd been quietly following after Willow for years, content to be whatever she needed him to be. He'd just wanted to be with her. Now, they were living together and had the cutest baby ever (sorry Georgie). He'd been running around after Acer, pretending the baby was faster, loving the squealing giggles as he cooed out I'm gunna get you! I'm gunna get you! in a playful voice, chasing after his son with dramatic quick waddles and outstretched arms.

As Willow popped up, telling little Acer to hold hands. Their son slowed just a little, looking to his mama with wide eyes. Before the baby could do anything, Basil swooped in, scooping the boy up into his arms. He spun him around before propping him over his shoulder. The boy was giggling loudly, legs kicking as he grabbed at the back of Basils shirt. A little breathless, Basil leant in to try and steal a kiss. "Mm, why don't you lead the way, Wills? Unless they have otters. Or Foxes. In which case I must see them immediately." He gave her an impish smile.

willow chuckled as Basil scooped acer up after chasing him around both boys giggling away. "Or that. If daddy wants to carry you," she said, chuckling herself at the sight of them. Acer really was a dads boy which wasnt supprising as Basil was definatly the parent who has always wanted to be a parent, and spent most time at home with him. she did enjoy being a mum but it hadnt been somethign swhe had wanted until she had no choice in the matter and her work definatly demanded more rigid hours. She leaned towards Basil as he kissed her before giving him a light kiss back, narrowly avoiding a small foot in the face.
"I think they have both. the otters are closer" she said. Looking at the zoo map trying to work out a schedule around it. that would keep everyone entertained as well as having stops in the right times. she took bsils hand and started walking dowen the path. "So otters and foxes. What do you want to see little Ace" she asked.

Basil kept a firm hand on Acer, shifting so he could try and wrap an arm around Willow as well as they walked. "Biiii' 'at!" Acer exclaimed, holding out both his arms as wide as they would go. Basil chuckled, an expert by now in kid speak. "A big cat, huh kid?" He bounced his son a little on his shoulder, the boy squealing out laughter and hanging on to Basils' hair almost painfully. He laughed as well, tilting his head to ease the pulling of baby fingers. "Any big cats around here, Wills?" He asked, looking to her with a coy grin.
