Good Advice

[Kate Archer]

Kate made her way to the Hogwarts Gardens.It was a nice day,the sun was shinning and there was a small breeze.Sadly she couldn't fully appreciate the good weather because she was sick.she had a horrible cold,she wasn't sure where it had come from but she was coughing during the night,the coughs racking through her poor thin frame.She always sounded different when she was talking because her nose was blocked,she had to blow it every few minutes also.It would be gone hopefully soon though,Kate had always been prone to colds it was only that her immune system wasn't up tp scratch that this cold was so bad.She walked around the lake for a while,she stopped at where she and Sammy had met.She looked around wondering where RHI or any informant had been that day and decided to make a story out of it.They had caused a lot of trouble.Kate didn't mind that Ravenclaw had lost points,that girl had deserved it.She was going to keep an eye on Sammy because she didn't want that girl hurting him again.She remembered reading about her,Kate didn't like the sound of her at all.She was cruel and she seemed enjoying being that way.How anyone can enjoy hurting people like Sammy was beyond her.He definitely wasn't her boyfriend,she loved someone else.She had gone though a lot on her life and no way was she going to give up on Stefan or leave him.She loved him and she just hoped he didn't take notice of what the magazine had said.

She left the tree and headed for the garden.She remembered celebrating her birthday one year,she remembered lighting the place up.It had looked quite pretty.She had had a few experiences in the Garden.It was one of her favorite places to be,it reminded her of home and all the flowers there.She had never had a bad experience her.The rosebush was also another one of her favorite places.The courtyard was a mixture because both good and bad things had happened to her there the same with the North Tower.The most recent memory there was a good one,Kate smiled when she thought of their last meeting.She walked into the gardens and found a bench which was facing the fountain in the middle.She sat down and started thinking.

Ai was still frustrated about the Rumor Has It magazine. She remembered it very well since it only happened recently. She remembered that she and her brother were supposed to play and they saw the magazine. She remembered that she had read the article about her and her brother and how she shouted in her anger. It was, indeed, embarrassing and could have made matters worse. But, somehow, during that time she didn't care about anything at all. Even now, she didn't regret what she did. It was alright for the author to write about her only, but, no, the author had to make her brother join the article. Bad memories came back to the young girl as she reached the Gardens.

Ai wasn't sure how she reached the Gardens but, it was alright, the view was relaxing. The flowers were amazing and she saw a bench. There was a girl sitting there but there was no other benches with a vacancy. Ai approached the girl and said, "Mind if I sit beside you?" the girl asked waiting for the girl's answer. Really, she was not her usual self. If she was her usual self, she would pretend to be mean and automatically sit down on that bench, but she was not herself today.

It still confused Kate as to why Rumor Has It was so interested in her,she didn't think there was anything that special about her.The first to articles she had kind of understood where they were coming from but now they were just making up stories about her and dragging other people into it.All she knew was that the person or group were from Slytherin and they were snobby and arrogant.Who ever RHI has given away bits about themselves,maybe because they were making mistakes or because they were so confident no one would find out who they were that they were leaving little hints,she hoped it back fired on them because they deserved it.She hoped Alyssa was okay,she had been pretty upset and it had been weird to see that a girl who was so competitive and mean on the quidditch pitch,leaning against a wall crying.She kn=ind of knew where she was coming from,a boy had brought her to tears and she had run out of the hall crying but no one had known why.Alyssa had been publicly humiliated as had everyone else in that magazine.It just wasn't fair that RHI got away with it.

Kate's thoughts were interruppted by someone asking to sit.She looked up and saw the girl called Ai from the magazine standing in front of her.Kate had a feeling she would be featured in the next Rumor Has It magazine,if there was a next one because of her reaction to V.3 of the magazine, "Sure"She said said smiling,she didn't look very good today and Kate didn't blame her.Kate had been furious for a week after the magazine,probably loner."You shouldn't take any notice of the magazine,it will just give RHI the satisfaction"She said looking at the fountain.

Ai was still frustrated at the moment, but she was glad that the girl had agreed to let her seat on the bench. "Thanks," she told the girl who looked eerily familiar. Ai took her seat and made herself a bit comfortable. She couldn't point out where she had seen the girl and all she knew was that she had saw that face once. "Uhm. Thanks?" she didn't know how to react at the girl's sudden advice about Rumor Has It. How did this girl know? And out of curiosity, Ai had asked the girl on how did she know about her. "A-ano. How did you know that I was in Rumor Has It?" she asked curiously and absent-mindedly. The young girl was always out of it because of the news and maybe it was one of those times.

Kate smiled "No bothers" she said her Irish accent coming out. It was always a really noticeable accent. No one could say their rs like them. It was quite funny listening to american or English actors and actresses trying to imitate their accent.Ai obviously didn't recognise her which made Kate feel a small bit better because maybe not all the first years wouldn't recognise her. They wouldn't have seen the first issue but they were here for the second and third,maybe Ai thought she had seen her before but didn't know he face. In fact Kate wasn't even sure if they used her name on the article. They seemed more fond of Branch. Kate didn't telly care they could call her what thus wanted. "Trust me, I know from experience" she said sighing. She wondered was anyone FYI trying to find out who the author was. "I saw you in it,you were the page after me actually and I'm also a Hufflepuff so I saw and heard you shouting" She said giving the girl hints as to who she was

Ai was glad that someone had given her advice on Rumor Has It. She had an outburst at that time because she didn't know what to do. Now, she was glad that there was someone willing to give an advice. The girl had told her that she learned that from experience. "Was this girl featured, too?" she thought as she tried to remember people featured in the magazine. But, she couldn't remember as she was too angered on the article about her and her brother. When the girl answered Ai's previous question, she realized how well of an idiot she was. "Ah, sorry. They showed my picture and everything in the magazine. I'm sorry. I haven't been myself since that time," she told the girl apologizing. "Hufflepuff? Sorry, but I don't socialize that much even in our own house. So, in total, I don't know you, sorry. Although, you're face looks familiar," she admitted honestly. Well, she has been known by her senior for her honesty, why not use it now, right?

Kate wanted o give Ai advice because she had had no one to I've it to her. She had been completely alone. Nobody really had known what to do,it had been complete out of the blue. She had heard people talk about a gossiP magazine a couple of years ago but obviously someone new had decided to follow in their footsteps and Kate thought this magazine was horrible and it annoyed her that thy kept getting away with it. It was so unfair.Kate understood where she was coming from "I don't understand who they get the picture,it's kinda creepy knowing someone took a Picture of you when you weren't looking" Kate said frowning, what creeped her out was that peoPlebwere both listening and watching her, it did 't make Hogwarts very safe. " That's probably because I've been in that magazine three times, the only one olin the school with my picture three times" she said sighing, it wasn't something she was proud of at all. It was something that confused he and annoyed her. "it's not so bad, just ignore it" she said smiling kindly
