Alyce had been dating Adelia for over four years now. Which was by far the longest she had ever been seeing anyone. and most importantly she was happy. Adelia gave her that challenge she always craved but also the stability that she knew she needed even though she didn't want to admit to it. a short while ago they had had the conversation and they had decided that it was more than time that they made the jump and moved in together. She had been to adelias place near brightstone plenty of times, it was nice fancyer than her small place, but apparently that wasn't her main residence it was just somewhere that she had bought when April had been at school so she could visit her on weekends and she could be close during the holidays. she had another place, a flat in Auckland. she had the address and apparated to nearby a duffle bag with some of her stuff slung over her shoulder. she could work out the rest later she still had a month left on her lease on the flat in brightstone.
she walked down the street, detouring around some roadworks. She checked the address a couple of times as she went heading along a street, glad it was downhill towards the harbour, she had lived in flats in big cities before, usually something small, usually old, with an outside walkway to get to it. she stopped where the apartment block should be outside what looked like a thirteen star hotel she looked at the address again and at the numbers embedded into the polished stone above the door. then back at the address. yes this was it. we went to the intercom and typed in the number Adelia had written. letting it ring expecting some confused middle aged man to answer as she was sure this couldn't be the right place.
