Letter in hand Kat practically ran all the way to the owlery. This was the only way she knew how to make everything better for everyone and after the little spat that had just been exchanged between herself, Andy, and Kiera it was the only way to make everything disappear...like it was all just a bad dream. Kat found Lavender perched in a corner and she whistled for her to come down. "Cystine Vanderhol," she said to her snowy owl and away she went. Kat sat down on the dirty floor and tried to catch her breath.
Mum said:
I promise that I will explain everything, but I need you to come and have me removed from school. I don't want to be here anymore. Please, I just want to come home.

Kat

Cystine was sitting going over some paperwork in her office when Kat's snowy owl landed right on her office window. She smiled as she took the letter from the bird, but her smile quickly turned to a furrowed brow of concern as she read the letter. "Sweet Merlin...what's going on with her," Cystine sighed heavily as she penned a response to her daughter.
Kat said:
I don't know what is going on, but unless you can give me an explanation as to why you are so hell bent on coming home then I'm not pulling you from school. What's wrong sweetie? I miss you and love you.

Mum

Kat jumped with a start when she felt Lavender gently tap her beak on the back of her hand. Picking up the letter that her mother had written Kat's heart had dropped to the pit of her stomach. How could she tell her mother what a crappy excuse of a daughter she had raised? So this was how life was going to have to be...she'd have to figure out another way to get out of the confines of the castle...to escape the constant reminder of what she had ruined.

Mum said:
Never mind mum, I'll figure something out. Maybe I was just being rash in my decision to have you pull me from the school. I think I'm just exceptionally homesick right now since I wasn't home over the break. Everything will be okay. I'll see you soon mum. Love you.

Kat

Cystine waited in anxious anticipation to see if her eldest daughter would reply or not. As soon as she saw the snow white bird land she took the paper and opened it. Something wasn't right, but there was no way of finding out exactly what until she got to see her her daughter again. She would talk to her husband about this. If Steven agreed to it then Cystine would go up to the school and talk to the headmistress and have Kat withdrawn from the school.
Kat said:
If things get worse then please let me know. I'll talk to your father about this and in a few weeks if you still want to come home then I will come and get you myself. I love you so much and I hope that everything is alright.

Mum

The last letter from her mother arrived and Kat read it. A few weeks? No that wouldn't do. A few weeks was too long to have to sit and wait. The stares that she was getting everywhere she went were too much for her to handle. It was bad enough that she hated herself for what she'd done, but the judgmental looks were the final straw. Kat didn't even bother to write back to her mother. What was the use? If she had to do something incredibly stupid to get kicked out of Hogwarts then she would.
